AIIMS PG 2018: Result, Counselling Schedule & Admission Procedure

AIIMS PG for counseling session will be organized on 22nd August. AIIMS stands for All India Institute of Medical Sciences and it is a national level entrance exams. AIIMS PG is conducted for the candidate for admission to postgraduate medical courses like  MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.Ch. Through this entrance exams candidate can get admission in various college and institutions.

An AIIMS PG entrance exam is held twice in the years. More than lakh candidate take admission in AIIMS PG but admission is granted to those candidates who secure good marks in entrance exams. The AIIMS, New Delhi has organized various entrance exams or the admission in UG, PG and doctoral courses. The first time it will be conducted in January session and the second session it will be in July.

Students based on this entrance examination may obtain admission to AIIMS affiliated colleges. This is a national entrance examination. AIIMS performs this review twice a year. The first time will be held in January and the second time in July. AIIMS PG Application Form 


Online registration for January session will be starts from 1st week of September and online registration for July session will be starts from 1st week of March. (January session) Closing date of registration is Last week of September and Last date of registration for (July session) is Last week of March. Candidate are requested to fill application before the due date after the due date application will not be accepted by candidate.

Candidates have to fill application through online mode. Candidate can fill an application in official portal. Candidates filling online form have to upload the scanned image of the recent photograph. But before filling, application candidates must red all details carefully and then fill an application form. Fill all detail correctly as given format because no correction can be made by a candidate after submitted.

  • The registration for DM/MCh & MD(Hospital Administration) courses has been started from 5th September 2017.

After reading the prospectus carefully, students may proceed to fill the AIIMS PG 2018 online application form:


  • The application form can be submitted through online
  • First of all, students have to register themselves for the online registration.
  • Fill the application form before the due date.
  • Students can select the city of examination of their choice.

AIIMS PG Application Fee


Candidates can application form fees through online as well as by offline mode. An online medium like Debit card/Credit card/Net Banking. Candidates have to pay application form fees as per candidate category wise. Candidates of UR/OBC have to pay Rs. 1000/-.

And candidates of SC/ST have to pay Rs. 800/- for application fees. Candidates take a printed copy of filled application form for further needs and use. Once candidate pay application fees it will not be refunded back to candidates.

AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria


Aspirants Candidates of AIIMS PG are provided eligibility criteria. A different course has different criteria so read full criteria of AIIMS PG entrance exams. Candidate must check whether they are eligible to apply or not. Most of the candidates fail to know criteria that affect them at the time of admission process.

  • Nationality:A student must belong to the Indian national.
  • Qualifying Exam:Students must hold the Degree in MBBS for MD/MS and BDS Degree for MDS recognized by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
  • Minimum Marks:The minimum marks in the qualifying exam should be 50% for SC/ST students and 55% aggregate marks for General candidates.
  • Student must complete the 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship training on or before 31st January 2018.
  • If student will apply for July session, then their training must be completed on or before 30thJuly 2018.

AIIMS PG Exam Pattern 


Candidates of MD/MS entrance exam will be given 3 hours and MDS examination 1 ½ hours to complete paper no extra time will be given to any candidates as per board rules and regulation. Exams will be held in offline mode Pen & paper based mode. Candidate of MD/MS have to attempt 200 questions and MDS candidate will be asked 90 questions in the examination. MCQ

Multiple Choice Questions will be asked in exams. Candidates of AIIMS PG must know exams dates, exams pattern and syllabus. Prepare for exams from the given syllabus. MD/MS/M.Ch./DM/MDS courses for admission to AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur & Rishikesh is conducted for 6 years.

  • Courses:It is conducted for 6 years MD/MS/M.Ch./DM/MDS courses for admission to AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur & Rishikesh.
  • Exam Mode: The entrance exam for 6 Years MD/MS/M.Ch./DM/MDS was held through online mode (Computer Based Test).
  • Subjects: For MD/MS, the entrance test was cover all the subjects of MBBS level and for MDS, the question paper has comprised the questions of BDS level.
  • Number of Questions: The entrance test for MD/MS was contained 200 questions. The entrance test of MDS was consist of 90 questions.
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions
  • Exam Duration: The duration of MD/MS entrance exam was 3 hours. The duration of MDS examination was 1 ½ hours.
  • Exam Timings: Timings for MD/MS was 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and timings for MDS was 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct response, 1 mark was awarded.
  • Negative Marking: For each wrong answer 1/3 marks was be deducted.

AIIMS PG Admit card

 


candidates who have successfully submitted their application form can only download they admit cards AIIMS PG from official portal. Candidate can download the admit cards on an online official portal. Admit cards will be available October and for July session, the admit card will be available in the last week of April.

Candidate must keep their admit cards safe till the completion of exams. Candidates have to carry their hall ticket at the examination hall if candidates fail to bring candidates will not be permitted to write exams. AIIMS PG Admit cards/hall ticket is a mandatory document it contains candidates related detail such as name, address, the birth of dates, seat number, center etc. candidates are advised to keep print copies of admit cards.

The AIIMS PG 2018 admit card will be downloaded from the site. Students can take advantage of the admission card for the January session for DM / MCh & MD (Hospital Administration) courses starting October 24, 2017. For the July session, the admission card will be available the last week April 2018. The admission card will contain all important instructions regarding the exam.

How to Download the AIIMS PG Admit Card


Candidates can follow  the given simple steps to download admit card/hall ticket:

  • Visit the official link
  • Log in by entering your Email ID, DOB & Roll No. or your Application Number & Verification Code.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button.
  • Now, admit card displays on the screen.
  • Download and take the printouts of admit card for further references.

 

AIIMS PG Answer key

 


Authority will release answer key of AIIMS PG after the exams are over. Candidate can access the websites of AIIMS PG by entering correct detail like name, seat number etc. This will give you the rough idea of your performance in entrance exams. Candidates try to check their written answer by them from the text book, unique, and from other site but they will not incomplete answer but AIIMS PG answer key which is published by authority provided all correct answer with the question.

So, they can check their answer written by them. AIIMS PG Answer key will help students to check roughly their answer this will also help to compare it with the final answer. Through answer key candidates will give the rough idea about their marks so, they can prepare for further steps.

AIIMS PG Result


The final result will be published in the official portal on online mode. Candidate will be in formed by the telephone or by post to any candidates.

The final result of AIIMS PG 2018 will be available on the site. The results of the January 2011 session of the AIIMS PG 2018 will be published on 18 November 2017. The results of the DM / MCh & MD (hospital administration) courses will be announced on 9 November 2017. For the July session,  18th November 2017 Notification of results will not be communicated by telephone or mail to a student.

Candidates have to visit the official site and have to enter all detail in the page to access the written page. If the candidate type incorrect detail site page will show error. Candidate can save the page in laptop/computer or can take a screenshot of the page through the phone.

 

AIIMS PG Counselling


Candidates who are interested can attain counseling session. For more detail candidate have to download the letter of counseling from official portal. A merit is will be prepared according to that candidate will be invited for counseling. Deserving candidate will be granted admission. While attaining counseling session Candidates have to bring one photo copy of their registration slip along with other original documents.

On the bases of entrance exams score candidates will be given admission. Candidates have to face round that pass all round that candidate name will appear in the merit list. First counseling will be held on 2nd or 3rd week of December and the third round of counseling will be held as open counseling for filling the vacant seats.

On the day of the counseling, candidates must bring a copy of the photo of their registration form with other original documents. Admission will be entirely based on the entrance examination. Counseling will take place in three rounds. The first council will take place on December 7, 2017. The third round of counseling will be conducted as an open consultation to fill vacancies.

 

Important Instructions For Open Counselling


  • The revised and updated list of vacant seats available for Open Counseling will be uploaded on the AIIMS website.
  • Minimum cut-off marks: Candidates having Percentile 50 or above may register for Open Counseling.
  • To register go to the official website.
  • Select your desired course “[MD/MS.(M.Ch.(6yrs./DM(6yrs.)]”/“MDS” under “Academic Courses” tab and then click on the “Registration/Login” to proceed further to register.
  • Enter your candidate’s ID Number and Password to login.
  • On “My Page” click on “Register for Open Counseling” link.
  • Opt for choice to register for Open Counseling.
  • Take a printout of Registration Slip.
  • Produce printout of the Registration slip to attend Open

Counseling along with all original certificates and one set of Photocopy of certificates.


  • Candidates will not be allowed to attend Open Counseling without production of registration slip generated at the time of online registration for Open Counseling.

AIIMS PG Cut off


 

Candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks in order to pass the entrance examination. Authority will change cut-off marks score depends on many factors such as the number of applicants, number of seats, the difficulty level of the exam and marking scheme etc. Every year’s Authority changes cut-off marks. Different courses have different cut-off marks.

 

AIIMS, New Delhi, candidates belonging to any caste category, have to score a minimum of 50 percentile marks in AIIMS PG in order to qualify. The candidate is advised to check previous years cut-off marks percentage required etc detail. This will help candidates to secure above the cut-off marks to qualify to be eligible to apply for admission. Candidate will get help with the cut-off marks to select his/her favorite college/institution as per marks secured in entrance exams.
