AKTU/UPTU 2018: Counselling, Cut Off, UPSEE Admission Process

UPTU 2018 Counselling (Spot Round) is starting from 1st August 2018.  Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) administers Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2018) for granting admission to UG and PG courses. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) administers Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2018) for granting admission to UG and PG courses. UP State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2018-19) is regulated by the Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU).UPSEE Entrance Exam is conducted for admission in the first year of B.Tech/B.E. courses programs across the state.UPTU 2018 Application Form Correction has been started from 26th March 2018

This entrance exam is organized to get admission in all the Technical Institutions / Colleges that are affiliated to the AKTU, Lucknow.

UPSEE 2018-19 provisional seat allotment result by entering the application number of the candidate, password that was created at the time of submission of UPSEE 2018-19 application form and a password. The counseling for UPSEE will start in the second week of June. While filling the form of UPSEE, the candidates must upload all the documents in 200 KB size. UPTU/AKTU 2018 Answer Key

NOTE: The candidates are informed that dates provided here are tentative and candidates are requested to check the dates provided on the official website of UPSEE as the first update will be reflected on the official website of the UPSEE.

AKTU/UPTU 2018 result has been declared on 30th May 2018Candidates are able to get the UPSEE answer key 2018 through online mode. It is releasing after the completion of the examination. The answer key will be released separately for all the courses. Through the answer key, candidates can crosscheck their answers and calculate their rough scores.

AKTU/UPTU Admit Card


The admission card for eligible candidates will be temporarily downloaded from April 20, 2018. Students can download their AKTU UPTU 2018 admission card on this page. Candidates must strictly follow the date and time mentioned on the admission card to appear on the exam.

Application Form


The application form, Information Brochure, and instructions to fill up application form are available online on the website.
For ONLINE application, visit the website. The link for submission of application ONLINE is available from the last week of  February 2018, to the last week of March 2018. For OFFLINE submission, the candidate may contact any of Help-Desks at Institutions of UPSEE.

For both ONLINE and OFFLINE applications, the confirmation page must reach to the Registrar, UPSEE-2018, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, IET Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow 226021 by March last week, 2018  by registered/speed post.

Here, in this section, we are mentioning the UPTU/AKTU 2018 application form details. Candidates can read the information brochure carefully before filling the form.

  • UPSEE 2018 application form can be filled and submitted through online mode only.
  • Availability of online application form will be from 23rd January 2018.
  • The closing date for submission of application form will be 30th March 2018.
  • All the applicants should also keep ready the scanned images of photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  • Before clicking on “final submit”, candidates are advised to verify all the filled details.
  • The university has opened the correction window from 26th March 2018.
  • Aadhar card would be mandatory to fill the application form.
  • Candidates are informed to preserve the printout of the confirmation page safely for future record.

The Confirmation Page received after the due date or through any other means shall not be accepted. The University will not be responsible for the Confirmation Page missed/ not received / any delay on the part of post office or for any other reason whatsoever. The list of designated HELP-DESK at affiliated Institutions of UPTU will also be available on the website.

Application Fee


The examination fee can be paid through online mode. Candidate can submit the fee for the use of Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking while submitting the online application form.

  • Male/Transgender Candidates of GEN and OBC Category has to pay Rs.1000
  • Female candidates/ Physically Handicapped candidates of all categories and SC/ST candidates have to pay  Rs.500

Eligibility Criteria  UPSEE


  • First year: B.Tech./ B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.)/ B.Pharm./ BHMCT/ BFAD/BFA candidate must have passed an intermediate exam. Of U.P.
  • Board or 10+2 level exam. or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University with minimum aggregate marks of 45% for
  • General & OBC and 40% for SC/ST category in the subject groups, without grace marks.
  • First year: B. Arch., a candidate must have passed the intermediate exam. Of U.P. Board or 10+2 level exam. or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University with the minimum of 50% marks in aggregate plus clearly passing without grace marks in each subject of the compulsory and optional subjects. A candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central/ State Govt., securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate is also eligible for admission to the first year of B.Arch.(paper-4).
  • First year: MBA, the candidate must have passed bachelor’s degree of minimum 03 years duration from the any recognized university of India, passing clearly without grace marks with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks for General & OBC and 45% for SC/ST category.
  • First year: MCA, the candidate must have passed bachelor’s degree course of minimum three years duration from any recognized university with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or graduate level. The candidate must have clearly passed without grace marks with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks for General & OBC and 45% for SC/ST category.
  • First year: MAM (Dual degree), a candidate must have passed Intermediate (10+2) exam. Of U.P. Board or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing minimum 45% marks without grace (40% for SC/ST category) in aggregate.
  • Second year (lateral entry): B.Tech., the candidate must have passed three years Diploma in Engineering course, securing minimum 45% marks for General & OBC and 40% marks for SC/ST category in aggregate or three years B.Sc. degree plus having passed 10+2 exam. With Mathematics as one subject, securing minimum aggregate marks of 45% for General & OBC and 40% for SC/ST category in B.Sc. as per details available in information brochure.
  • Second year (Lateral Entry): B.Pharm., the candidate must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy, securing minimum aggregate mark of 45% for General & OBC and 40% for SC/ST category).
    8. Second year (Lateral Entry): MCA, candidate must have passed BCA / BSc(IT/CS) of minimum three years from any recognized Indian University or its Equivalent recognized by AIU, with minimum 50% ( 45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate plus having mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or Graduation level.
  • NOTE:(a) Those appearing in the qualifying exam. Are also eligible to appear in UPSEE-2018 but subject to the condition that they must fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of counseling.
    (b) Criteria for admissions for NRI and Kashmiri migrants category will be published later, in May 2018 as per the norms to be laid
    down by the Govt. of U.P. / AICTE. Such candidates need not appear in UPSEE-2018.
    (c) State Govt. has permitted 20% of total sanctioned seats in Private Institutions to be filled up on the basis of JEE(Main)-2018, merit for admissions to Engineering Technology / Architecture courses; 10% of them will be completed by U.P. domicile candidates on U.P. State merit using State reservation policy and remaining 10% seats will be filled through All India Merit Candidates without reservation.
    (d) State Govt. has also permitted 20% of total sanctioned seats of MBA in Private Institutions to be filled by CMAT- 2018 merit (Common Management Admission Test).
  • EXAMINATION FEE: Rs. 800.00 for General / OBC cat

Unit – 3: Linear Algebra
The inverse of a matrix by simple transformations, Rank of a matrix ( Echelon & Normal form), Linear dependence
, Consistency of linear system of equations and their solution,. Characteristic equation,
Eigen values and eigen vectors, Cayley-Hamilton Theorem, A brief introduction to Vector

Engineering Chemistry

Polymers, its classification, and their applications. Chain and Step-growth polymerization.
Thermoplastic and Thermosetting resins. Elastomers and synthetic fibers. Conducting and biodegradable  polymers. General methods of synthesis of organometallic compound (Grignard Reagent) and their applications in polymerization and catalysis.

Electrical Engineering
