AP B.Sc. Nursing Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring to appear for APEAPCET-2024 for admission to B.Sc Nursing in Andhra Pradesh must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

Nationality:

  • Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

State Eligibility:

  • Candidates should belong to the states of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.
  • Candidates must satisfy the Local / Non-Local status requirements as per the Andhra Pradesh / Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974, as subsequently amended.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Candidate should obtain at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in the subjects specified, taken together in the qualifying examination.
  • For B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.Sc. (Ag) / B.Sc. (Hort) / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech. (FS&T) / B.Sc (Nursing) courses, candidates should have passed the intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) or any equivalent examination with specified subjects.

Age Criteria:

  • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as of December 31, 2024.
  • The upper age limit is 22 years for all candidates and 25 years for SC/ST candidates as of December 31, 2024.
  • There is a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit for S.C., S.T., and B.C. candidates.
  • Disabled candidates have a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.

Qualification Criteria:

  • Candidates with Science who have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together and passed in English individually.
  • For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology shall be 40%, and they must have passed in English individually.
  • Eligibility can also be fulfilled through various educational backgrounds such as AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE/NIOS/APOSS, Intermediate Vocational with Bridge Course, and State Open Schools recognized by the State Government.

Compulsory English:

  • English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc.(Nursing).

Age Limit for Admission:

  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on December 31 of the year in which admission is sought.
  • The maximum age limit for admission is 35 years.
  • There is a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit for S.C., S.T., and B.C. candidates.
