AP PGECET 2018 Final Counselling has been released. Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET 2018) is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on the behalf of A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

 This is a statewide entry test for which students are admitted to engineering, pharmacy, and postgraduate courses. Each year, AP PGECET will be held in May. It is done once a year. AP PGECET 2018 Result

The candidates are required to enter the login credentials for checking their AP PGECET 2018 result. The result contains the total marks and obtained the rank of the candidate. The date for the declaration of result will be 20th May 2018. AP PGECET Rank card 2018 will be available for downloading after some days of the result announcement.

Candidates may know their ranking and the official’s qualifications in the statement of results. The result can be checked by entering the routing number. The expected date for reporting results will be the second week of June 2018. After a few days of the announcement of the results, candidates will be able to download the PGECET 2018 AP classification card.

AP PGECET Application Form 2018

  • AP PGECET 2018 application form is made completely online from 21st March 2018.
  • No offline mode will be entertained for submitting the AP PGECET application form.
  • Candidates are advised to submit the application form before the last date. In case of submitting the application form after the due date, candidates have to pay extra charges.
  • Fee payment will be the first step in the application form.
  • Upload scanned photograph (size less than 40 KB) and scanned signature in Jpg/jpeg format.
  • After filling the form completely, the candidate may take a printout of filled-in application for further references.

Note: GATE/GPAT qualified candidates are exempted to apply for AP PGECET 2018. Separate admission notification will be released for such candidates.

  • AP PGECET application form was available online only from 3rd March 2018.
  • Candidates have to fill the application form online before 13th April 2018 (without late fee).
  • After the last date of filling the application form, one can fill the application form indeed but with the late fee.
  • The correction period has been started from 25th April to 4th May 2018.The candidates can also check the status of their application form whether it is submitted successfully or not.
  • As the application form will be submitted, an intimation message regarding the successful submission of application form will be received by the candidates via SMS/E-mail.
  • In case a candidate wants to appear for more than one test, the separate registration fee has to be paid for each test.

AP PGECET Correction of the application form 

You are not sure that the authority will provide the correction period on the AP PGECET 2018 application form. Therefore, applicants are advised to fill out the form carefully. However, if the correction window is open, applicants must submit the request to amend the application form.

AP PGECET Application Fee 2018

The candidates could submit the application fee through credit card/debit card or through AP online centers. The application fee required to be paid by the candidates against the application form are as follows:

  • For GEN/OBC – Rs. 800/-
  • For SC/ST- Rs. 400/-

The late fee is Rs. 500/-, 2000/-, 5000/- and 10000/- as per the dates of filling the late application form.

AP PGECET Eligibility Criteria 2018

It is necessary for all the applicants to meet the eligibility conditions as prescribed by the authority. AP PGECET 2018 eligibility conditions are mentioned below:

  • Nationality: Candidates should be the citizen of India.
  • Domicile Requirement: Applicant should belong to AP state or must be AP domiciled in order to apply for AP PGECET. Moreover, the candidate must satisfy the local/non-local status requirements.
  • Qualifying Examination: The qualifying examination should be B.E/B.Tech to apply for PG engineering courses. For PG pharmacy courses, the prescribed qualification is B.Pharma studied from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum Marks: In case of pharmacy courses, the minimum marks required in the qualifying examination should be 55% marks (45% marks for SC/ST category candidates). The minimum marks required to apply for engineering courses is 45% marks (40% for SC/ST category).

  • Number of Papers: AP PGECET is conducted for a total of 14 papers.
  • Mode of Examination: Candidates have to mark their responses in OMR sheet. The examination will be conducted in pen and paper mode.

  • Type of Questions: Only objective type questions having four alternatives will appear in the test.
  • Maximum Marks: The offline test is of maximum 120 marks.

AP PGECET 2018 Hall Tickets

Eligible applicants may download their AP PGECET 2018 admission card from the 5st May 2018 on a provisional basis. To download the room ticket, applicants must enter the registration number and select the test they have chosen in the application form. The completed exhaust admission card must be produced at the assigned test center.

AP PGECET 2018 Cut-off

qualify the AP PGECET 2018, the candidates have to obtain the minimum 25% marks of the total marks. Those who will obtain the marks more than the AP PGECET cut-off marks will be eligible to take the admission in an M.Tech course offered by the colleges of Andhra Pradesh. No minimum cutoff is prescribed for SC/ST. The rank card will be available only for the qualified candidates.

AP PGECET 2018 Counselling

The candidates have to attend the AP PGECET 2018 counseling for seat allotment and document verification. After the payment of prescribed fees, serial number and password will be provided to the candidates through which candidates are able to mark the choices for colleges.

Applicants who receive a mark of 25% of the total marks will be eligible to participate in AP PGECET 2018 counseling. All qualified applicants must appear in person as a checking window for the document. Prior to the verification of documents/certificates, the candidate must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000 / – (Rs 500 / – for SC / ST candidates). Candidates may exercise options either from the Hotline or from any other location with an Internet connection .
