APS University was established on 20th July 1968 & has UGC grant permission which the University had received in February 1972.
The university offers courses in 3 different categories self-supporting courses, correspondence courses & also regular courses in Seven different faculties at Under-Graduates as well as Post-Graduate levels. The university has 150 affiliated colleges in six districts of Madhya Pradesh.
The university has a lush green campus of 246 acres of land which gives the feel of ancient times. University has a separate hostel for boys & girls and also Lord Shiva temple situated in a modest park & a big stadium for the students. University has a Central Library with 75000 books, magazines, journals, etc.
