B.Tech. Geo Informatics Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Geo-Informatics Engineering is an undergraduate Petroleum Engineering course. The course describes the science and technology dealing with the structure and character of spatial information, its capture, its classification and qualification, its storage, processing, portrayal, and dissemination, including the infrastructure necessary to secure optimal use of this information or the art, science or technology dealing with the acquisition, storage, processing production, presentation and dissemination of geoinformation.

The course is concerned with the acquisition, analysis, processing, and presentation of spatial information, including value-adding to spatial data. It is based on general foundations in mathematics, physics and computer science.
