BHU 2018 Counselling for UET/PET courses has been started from 4th July 2018. BHU UET is well known as Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance Test. This exam is conducted by the Banaras Hindu University to offer admission to the candidates in UG programmes. Through this exam, candidates can enter into UG programmes at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and its affiliated colleges are called Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET)BHU 2018 Result is releasing in the month of June 2018.  Candidates will be granted admission on the basis of performance in BHU UET entrance exam.

BHU UET 2018 Results

BHU results 2018 is releasing between 15th – 20th June 2018.  The authority of university will declare BHU UET result on official portal. Through online mode, candidates can download their results from the website.  All Candidates appeared for an exam are informed that their marks on the entrance exam, as well as BHU UET cutoffs and merit (category-wise), will be emailed to applicants on their registered email IDs. Candidates must keep print copies of it for admissions process and Keep it safe.

Last year, BHU offered 6631 seats in the above-mentioned courses through BHU UET. It is expected that even this year the seat intake will remain the same.

BHU Application Form 2018

  • Candidates can fill the BHU Application form 2018 through online mode only.
  • Students must have the valid e-mail ID and mobile number for applying.
  • The application form is available for MBA programme.
  • The last date to submit the application will be 22nd January 2018.
  • Before filling the form, candidates must keep ready a recent passport size color photograph in JPEG format. The size of the scanned photograph should not be more than 100KB.
  • No document is required to be attached along with the online application form.
  • The hard copy of the duly filled in application form is not required to send to the University.
  • Students must keep the printout of filled application form for future reference.

Application Fee:

  • BHU (UET & PET) Application fee will be Rs. 500/- for General and OBC and for SC/ST is Rs. 250/-.
  • The application fee for MBA is Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 800/- for SC/ST).
  • Students can pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.
  • The available service to pay the fee are ATM-cum-Debit card, Credit card, Net banking.
  • Students can also pay the application fee in cash by downloading the HDFC Bank Challan.

Eligibility Criteria

Students can check the eligibility criteria for both UG & PG programmes of BHU form here:

For MBA Programme:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have three-year graduation degree/ degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or Law/ PG degree in any discipline.
  • Candidates must have qualified CAT 2017 exam.
  • Minimum Marks: Students must have obtained 50% marks for general & 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.

For UG Courses:

  • Qualifying Exam: Students applying for UG courses should pass the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board/university.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates have to secure minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.

For PG Courses:

  • Qualifying Exam: Student must hold the Bachelor Degree (in 10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline.
  • Minimum Marks: Students must secure minimum 50% marks to appear the PG entrance exam (PET).

BHU UET 2018 Application Form

Candidates have to pay application form fees of BHU UET. Through online mode fees can be paid online medium such as via debit card/ credit card or in cash via bank challan payable at any HDFC branch. Candidates Category wise all have to pay application fees such as

Category of SC/ ST has to Rs 250 and others category Rs 500. Candidates are informed if they are applying for more than one course through BHU UET exam, the application fee payable by candidates for each subsequent application will be different.


Step 1: Register on BHU Entrance Test Portal

Primarily, candidates need to register themselves for the entrance test portal of Banaras Hindu University. For the same, candidates need to click on the Apply for Admission button present on the Home page of BHU website. On clicking the link, a new page will open. Click on the Register Yourself button. On clicking the link a registration form will open where candidates need to enter details such as name, email ID, password, sex, parents’ names, address, mobile number, etc and click on the Sign-Up button.

On submission of registration details, an email will be sent to candidates on their registered email IDs which will contain an activation link. Candidates need to click on the link to confirm and activate their BHU UET 2018 registration. Thereafter, candidates need to enter the validation code sent on their registered mobile numbers to complete the registration process.

Step 2: Fill BHU UET Application Form

On successful registration, candidates can log in to their accounts, select the course of their choice and start filling BHU UET 2018 application form. Some details to be filled in the form are:

  • Applicant details such as name, parents’ names, date of birth, category, sex, nationality, blood group, etc.
  • Correspondence and permanent address
  • Preference for the test center
  • Scanned image of photograph and signature (Format: JPEG, Size: Less than 100KB).

Step 3: Pay BHU UET Application Fee

Next, candidates need to pay BHU UET 2018 application fee. The fee can be paid in online mode (via debit card/ credit card/ net banking) or in cash (via bank challan payable at any HDFC branch).

BHU UET 2018 Eligibility

All Candidates who want to appear for the exam have to submit the final mark sheet before the scheduled date and time otherwise their admission will be treated as canceled. Candidates who have been invited for counseling have to present the previous years’ mark sheets in which they have passed the examination with at least 50% marks. For reserved category candidates, these rules are not mandatory.


  • Candidates who have passed Standard XII or equivalent from a recognized board/ Indian university/ foreign university with minimum 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST candidates and 45% marks for OBC candidates) fulfill BHU UET 2018 eligibility criteria for admission in BA LLB (Hons) course.
  • Candidates who are appearing for Standard XII exams are also eligible to apply. However, such students need to present the original mark sheet of Standard XII at the time of BHU counseling. Candidates who are not able to produce the mark sheet at the time of counseling will be given conditional admission in the BA LLB (Hons) course.
  • Candidates need to produce the final mark sheet by the stipulated date and time otherwise their admission will be treated as canceled.
  • At the time of counseling, candidates need to present the previous years’ mark sheets in which they have passed the examination with at least 50% marks. This rule is not mandatory for reserved category candidates.
  • Candidates who have passed Standard XII through open universities without availing any basic qualification required to pursue BA LLB (Hons) course are not eligible for BHU admissions in Ba LLB programme.

BHU UET 2018 Pattern

Candidates apply for BHU UET exam must know the exam pattern for five-year BA LLB (Hons) course such as in paper question asked will contain 150 multiple-choice questions. Which will be of total 450 marks. All candidates have to complete paper in a duration of two hours. The questions asked will be asked from syllabus subject such as General Awareness and Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, English Comprehension etc. For each correct answer 3 marks will be awarded and for each incorrect answer, there is negative marking of one mark. Questions left unanswered are awarded no marks.


  • BHU UET 2018 exam pattern for five-year BA LLB (Hons) course is such that the paper will contain 150 multiple-choice questions of 450 marks.
  • Students need to complete the exam in a duration of two hours.
  • The questions asked in the exam will be based on subjects such as General Awareness and Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, English Comprehension, and Mental Ability.
  • Marking scheme: For each correct answer three marks are awarded and for each incorrect answer there is negative marking of one mark. Questions left unanswered are awarded no marks.

BHU UET 2018 Admit Card

All candidates applied for admission have to compulsory download the admit card. Candidates can download the admit cards of BHU UET from the official portal of Banaras Hindu University’s entrance test. Admit cards will be available one week before the entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted. After downloading the admit card from website take a print copy of it and stick passport size photo in the specified area. All candidate have to carry their BHU UET admit cards in exam center. If any candidate fails to carry, No candidate will be allowed to appear for the entrance exam.

    my results for BHU UET 2018 were out on 16 june,but there is still no news about cut-offs and it said counselling will start on 4 july. How will i know regarding my admission and cut offs
