CEED 2020: Application (Started), Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus

CEED 2020 Application Form has been released on 9th October 2019. CEED stands for Common Entrance Exam for Design. Applicants who are keen on getting the admissions in M. Des & the Ph. D. courses have to clear the CEED Examination. In general, the CEED scores are valid only for 12 months (1 year), and this entrance exam is organized by the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Bombay.

CEED 2020 will be conducted by IIT Bombay on behalf of the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The applicants have to clear the entrance exam in two parts and on the same day. If the applicants make the CEED, they are eligible to get the admissions, but they also have to clear the rounds conducted at the Individual universities.

Admission will be provided in M. Des in various renowned institutions like IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IISc Bangalore, IIT Guwahati, IITDM Jabalpur, IIT Bombay, IIT, and other institutions.

CEED 2020 Application Form

The instruction for the complete application process has been available on the official website, and applicants just have to follow the steps.

The steps are mentioned as points below:

  • Registration on the website.
  • Filling of the Application
  • Uploading of documents.
  • You are paying the application fee.
  • You are submitting the application.
  • CEED 2020 Registration has been started on 9th October 2019 through online mode.
  • The Last Date to Submit Application Form is 9th November 2019.
  • To fill the CEED 2020 application form, applicants have to follow various steps of the application process – Online registration, filling necessary details, uploading of scanned documents and paying the application fee.
  • Candidates must save the allotted application number for future reference provided during the application process.
  • Students must fill all the details in the form carefully and choose the exam center correctly as no correction facility will be provided after the final submission.

The application fee is as per below:

  • For SC/ST/PwD and women candidates – Rs. 1300/-
  • For all other candidates – Rs. 2600/-
  • Late registration fee is Rs. 500/-

CEED 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility criteria are always important for the applicants to follow as the selection depends on this, so we have listed some information below for the same.

  • The applicant should have a degree or a diploma or should have completed a PG degree course of 4 years.
  • The applicants should have completed HSC + 3+2 years of the degree are also eligible.
  • The applicants who are in the final year of graduation can also apply but have to submit the documents at the time of examination.
  • The applicants should have cleared the GD Arts diploma course (10+5 level) are also eligible.
  • There is no age limit decided yet for the entrance exam.

Candidates must have completed a degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program of minimum 3 years (after 10+2 level), or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2020, or must have passed the GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level) by July 2020.
Eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes may differ from the eligibility criteria for appearing for CEED. Before applying for CEED, candidates are advised to check whether they meet the required eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes.
There is no age limit to appear for CEED. Besides, a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times.

GATE Score: Candidates can also apply by their GATE 2020 Score.

Marking Scheme
  • In Part A, three marks will be awarded for every correct answer in section I and two marks for every correct answer in section II and III.
  • No marks will be deducted for wrong responses in sections I and II of Part A.
  • six marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in section III of Part A.
  • The exam will be divided into two parts which are Part A & Part B.
  • The applicants must appear for both the parts on the same day.
  • The applicants who clear Part A will be allowed for appearing for Part B of the paper.
  • Exam paper part A will have objective type questions and should be solved only on the computer.
  • Part A paper will be checked by the computer.
  • The paper part A will be prepared using the below topics.

  • The exam paper part B will also be available on the computer screen but should be solved on the given answer paper.

  • The applicants have to answer anyone from 1 to 5 and then 6th, 7th & 8th to be answered)
  • The paper part B will be checked manually by the officials.

NOTE: The actual result will be based on exam paper Part B as part A will have only 25% of weightage and part B will have 75% of weightage.

CEED 2020 Admit Card

CEED 2020 Admit Card will be available on 1st January 2020. The admit card will be released on the official website only. The admit card will be available only for the applicants who are eligible for the exam, and the form was submitted successfully. The applicants must use the login credentials to download the Admit Card. The applicants must carry the admit card to the exam center. Once the admit card is downloaded the applicants must check all the details and then print it.

CEED 2020 Answer Key

CEED 2020 Answer Key will be Available after Examination. Candidates can be Check Answer key through own login Id. And Candidates can be Download in PDF Format, it will be available on 21st January 2020.

If any candidate who wishes to apply for the object or any comment in the Official CEED 2020 Answer Key will be given chance and he/she can apply for the same from the 27th January 2020. From the 4th February 2020, Candidates who have given the entrance examination will be able to obtain the Official  CEED 2020 Answer Key through online mode only.

CEED 2020 Result

CEED 2020 Result will be Declared on 4th March 2020. The results will be released on the official website for the applicants as announced. The declaration of the results will be done by the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Bombay. The applicants must use their credentials along with the registration & application number with the email. The entrance exam will be divided into two parts, and the results will be available only after the 2nd part is done.

CEED 2020 Score Card

CEEED 2020 Scorecard will be available for the students who have given the entrance examinations and their result has been declared.
CEED 2020 Score Card will be available after the Result Declaration. As soon as the result will be declared the candidates will be able to download the seat 2020 scorecard. scorecard will contain important details of the candidate such as merit rank and qualifying status.

NOTE: The CEED score will be valid only for a year.

CEED 2020 Cut Off

Candidates must have to get the minimum cut off marks when the result will be declared, Those who will secure the minimum cut off marks will be only able to get into the further admission and Counselling Rounds.

There are various factors that impact the cut off marks of Part B Section. These are the factors that vary according to different parameters like difficulty level of test and number of qualifying candidates, number of appearing candidates, number of seats available. 

The cutoff marks of 90 % of the open/ General Categories, The shortlist of OBC and NCL category is prepared. If We will talk about the SC/ ST and PWD candidates, the cut off of 50% will be prepared of Open/ General Categories. 

CEED 2020 Merit List

CEED 2020 Merit List will be published online mode for the students who have given the CEED 2020 Entrance Exam. The merit list will be only available for the students after the CEED 2020 Result gets released. The CEED exam conducting authority will publish the CEED 2020 Merit list which will be based on the marks scored and secured by the candidates in the Part B section of the CEED 2020 Entrance examination.

Candidates have some condition to appear for the PART B CEED 2020 Entrance Exam, Candidates must have to pass the Part A Examination. Those candidates who will successfully complete Part A and Part B Examination will be invited for the merit list and further admission and Counseling Procedure.

The list of qualified CEED candidates will be shared with the participating institutions. The examining authority will not provide any centralized advice for the allocation of seats.

After the declaration of results, applicants must apply on the website of the corresponding institution for the admission procedure. Each institution will publish the admission notice on their websites.
