Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET) is regulated through the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) to recruit teacher for primary and upper-level vacancies. Candidates who wish to get a vacancy on that level; can fill out the Application Form for CG TET online by visiting the official website of the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB).

Chhattisgarh TET is the mandatory examination for all the D.El.Ed/ B.Ed qualified candidates to be considered for teacher jobs in schools run by the government and private management.

CG TET Eligibility 2024

Those applicants are going to appear in the CG TET Examination; they must have to check their Eligibility Criteria before filling out the Application Form and the Eligibility Criteria details mentioned below.

I. Primary Level (Class I-V)
II. Upper Primary Level (Class IV-VIII)

Educational Qualification: 

1. Minimum Educational Qualifications for Becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Level):

Higher Secondary or it’s equivalent with at least 50% marks or 2- a year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

Higher Secondary (or it is equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known)

2. Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Level):

Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in Pedagogy/ 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)

OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)

Notes

(a) Relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks in minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be permitted to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.

(b) Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education: For this Notification, only a Diploma/Degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) shall be considered. However, in the case of a Diploma in Education (Special Education) and or B.Ed (Special Education), only a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.

(c) Training to be undergone: A person with D.Ed (Special Education) or B.Ed. (Special Education) shall have to endure a six-month Special Programme in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE after the appointment.

(d) The minimum qualifications mentioned above apply to teachers of Languages, Social Studies/Social Science, Mathematics, Science, etc. Regarding teachers for Physical Education, the minimum qualification norms referred to in NCTE Regulation.
