CLAT 2020 Application Form
The CLAT 2020 Application Form will be filled by those aspirants who have become eligible for fulfilling their criteria. The application form will be available only through online mode from the official website. The aspirants must reach the website of CLAT which is clat.ac.in
First things first, they need to register on the homepage. CLAT Registration 2020 has been started from 1st January 2020 to the 10th July 2020.

CLAT 2020 Application Fee
The students belonging to a general category will require paying Rs. Four thousand and the ones from SC/ST will have to pay Rs.3500/- The fee payment will be done through credit card/debit card/net banking/pay wallet/RuPay, etc.
CLAT 2021
The CLAT 2021 Examination is organized through National Law University Odisha, Cuttack to provide admission to the applicants in various undergraduate and postgraduate law programs. In the 21 National Law Universities and various private colleges and universities, the admission will provide to the candidates through the CLAT score. The CLAT 2020 Application Form will be available from the 2nd week of January to the 2nd week of April 2021.
CLAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality:
- National sponsored nominees/NRI/NRI can apply.
- Candidates sponsored by NRI/NRI can apply for these NLUs when that category is accepted.
- Foreign candidates must not take the CLAT exam; they can apply directly to the interested institutions.
Age Criterion:
Higher age limit: There will be no age limit for the UG Integrated and PG courses.
Qualification Criteria:
Candidates that appear: the candidates that appear in the qualification exam are also eligible.
Course Eligibility
Minimum Examination Criteria
For integrated UG courses Take the 10 + 2 exam of the recognized board. Safe brands of at least 45% (for unrestricted people / OBC /especially disabled people (SAP) and other categories) and 40% (for SC / ST categories).
For PG courses, pass the LLB / 5 years of LLB Integrated (Hons.) / Any other equivalent exam. A minimum of 55% guaranteed points (for unrestricted people / CBOs /especially disabled people and other categories) and 50% (for SC / ST categories).
For UG Programs
Aspirants who are opting for UG courses must complete their 20 on 1st July 2020, and those who are from OBC/SC/ST/SAP category must be completing 22 years.
- The aspirants should who bear a passing certificate of 12th with 45% marks will be eligible for the exam.
- The aspirants who are studying their 12th at the time of admission will also be considered for the exam.
For PG Programs
The aspirants with any age group can apply for the exam.
- They must be qualifying LLB/Five Year LLB(Hons.) or any other related exam to gain admission in LLM course.
- The aspirants who are under the general/OBC/Especially Abled Persons (SAP) category will need to attain a 55% mark. On the other hand, aspirants who are under SC/ST will have to obtain at least 36% in the exam.
UG Programme:
- Age Limit: There will be no upper age limit for the UG program in CLAT 2020.
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate should qualify the class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board or university.
- Percentage: 45% marks in case of the candidates belonging to unreserved/OBC/specially-abled person (SAP) and other categories and 40% marks in case of the candidates belonging to SC or ST categories.
- Appearing candidates: Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying exam in March/April 2019 also eligible for the appearing in CLAT 2020 online examination. They shall be required to produce evidence of the passing of their qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
PG Programme:
- Age limit: No upper age limit prescribed for appearing CLAT 2020.
- Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have a minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, i.e., LL.B or any other equivalent exam.
- Minimum Marks: 55% marks in the case of the candidate are belonging to unreserved categories/OBC and other categories. 50% marks in case of candidate belonging to scheduled caste/ scheduled tribe.
- Appearing Candidates: The candidate must pass/appeared in the final semester or final year of the qualifying examination on the date of his/her admission.
CLAT 2020 Exam Pattern (Changed)
The exam is held in the online medium.
- Exam Mode: As per the CLAT 2020 exam pattern, the test will be held in Online Mode.
- Duration: Candidate will be given two hours to attempt the law examinations.
- Number & Type of Questions: There will be a total of 150 (for UG) & 150 (for PG) of multiple-choice questions.
- Marking: Each correct answer will be awarded one mark each and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

CLAT 2020 Syllabus
The CLAT 2020 Syllabus for UG course- The questions will be covering the topics of General Knowledge, English including Comprehension, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude, and Legal Reasoning.

CLAT 2020 Counseling
The CLAT 2020 Counseling will take place on 6th October 2020.
The aspirants will be given seats as per merit-cum-preference. The aspirants who have been selected for admission will be eligible for counseling.
The online counseling will be conducted in four stages.
The candidate needs to submit the counseling fee of Rs. 50,000 for participation in CLAT 2020 counseling. The final admission will be offered only after the verification of documents.
Number of Seats
As per the last year’s data, CLAT offered the 2175 total number of seats for the UG and PG program. The reservation of the seats for the different categories will vary by the different institutes.
