DASA 2020 Application Form will be Releasing in the Month of September 2019. DASA stands for Direct Admission of Students Abroad for the UG applicants interested in the engineering courses. Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) is a scheme launched by MHRD Govt. of India to offer admission to NRIs and foreign nationals.

Admission will be offered into engineering, architecture design, and management courses through SAT / GRE/ GMAT Scores.

The applicants who are foreign nationals, NRI (Non-Resident Indian), PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) and OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) will be able to get the admissions through the DASA.

 The applicants who are keen to get the admissions in the NITs, IIITs, SPAs and other Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes have to clear or go through the DASA entrance exam as this will work as a pathway for them.

Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad will be the authorities who will be conducting the admission process for the DASA

DASA 2020 Important Dates

DASA 2020 Application Form

The important information related to the application process are listed below for the applicant’s reference:

  • The authorities at the university will be releasing the online application forms tentatively in April 2020.
  • It is mandatory for the applicants to register themselves on the website for the admission process.
  • DASA 2020 Application Form will be available twice in a year for different sessions.
  • The Application Form will be available through online mode.
  • Candidates will have to fill personal & educational details.
  • Candidates are advised to fill all the details correctly & re-check the form before
  • The applicants should also keep in mind that the filled application along with the fee should be submitted before the last date of submission which will be tentatively in June 2020.

Below are the steps which should be followed by the applicants to submit the online application:

The steps for the registration process is as per below:

The applicants have to check the information which is listed for the eligibility criteria and then click on the “I AGREE” tab.

  • Applicants have to submit a valid email id as the same id will be used during the entire tenure of the course for any kind of communication from the university.
  • The applicants will receive the user id which will be similar to the one that was shown on the screen.
  • The applicants have to create a password f their choice, and this password should not be shared with anyone.
  • Once the password is created, the applicants will receive the email with a confirmation message related to the same.
  • The user id and the password should be kept safe as this will be required multiple times in the future.

The steps to do the application fee payment:

  • The applicants can pay the application fee in two different ways as per below:
  • SWIFT transfer – same to net banking.
  • E-Payment – Credit card or debit card
  • The application fee should be paid along with the 1st-semester tuition fee also.
  • Once the payment is done, the system will generate a transaction number and applicants have to keep that safe as it works as a proof of payment.

NOTE: If by any chance the applicants who have done the payment and were not able to get the seats in such case the applicants will get the fee refunded in their bank accounts which were mentioned on the form.

DASA 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The important information related to the eligibility criteria are listed below for the applicant’s reference:

  • The applicants should be 25 years of age or more at the time of admission (Example born on or after October 1, 1994)
  • The applicant should have completed the HSC (10+2) from the university that is known by the Association of Indian Universities(www.aiuweb.org).
  • The applicants must have studied (PCM) Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, / Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology in their 11th and 12th-grade
  • Even the applicants who are in the process of clearing the HSC can apply but have to present the certificates at the time of admission.
  • The applicants should have achieved a minimum of 60% score in total in the succeeding examination.
  • The applicants should have scored a minimum of 1800 in SAT Subject Tests (Subjects: Mathematics Level 2, Physics and Chemistry).
  • These scores should be sent directly from the college board to MNNIT Allahabad.
  • Candidates must read the following points for DASA 2020 Eligibility Criteria:
  • Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian National Citizen.
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must possess MBBS/ MBBS provisional pass certificate approved by Medical Council of India (MCI).
  • SAT Scores: Candidates must secure a total of 1800 marks in SAT including physics, chemistry and Maths subjects. Scores will be sent directly through College Board to MNNIT Allahabad.
  • Appearing Candidates: Such candidates who will be appearing their PG Medical degree/ provisional pass certificate by the Last week of August 2020 will also be eligible to apply.
  • Training: Candidates must have completed three years of rotatory training by Last week of August 2020.
  • Registration: Candidates should register with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council. One should also have proof of it.

DASA 2020 Exam Merit list

The important information related to the results are listed below for the applicant’s reference: The authorities from the university will be preparing the merit list. Once the merit list is prepared, then the release will be done online for the applicants. The merit list will have a list of the selected applicants who have been selected for the admission. The selection for the merit list will be done based on the SAT scores (MNNIT Allahabad)

The applicants who will submit the SAT scores directly through the college board will be considered for the counseling process.

DASA 2020 Admit Card

Candidates will have to Download DASA 2020 admit card. No candidate will receive it via post. Candidates will have to download the admit card by entering an email ID. It will also be necessary to affix a passport size photograph on the space provided on the admit card.

The photograph must have the name of the candidate & capture date on it. Candidates will have to bring admit card as mandatory item along with ID proof (Pan card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhar Card). No candidate will allow for examination without admit card.

DASA 2020 Result

The DASA 2020 result will get published in the third week of January for the January & fourth week of July 2020 for July Session respectively. Candidates will be able to check their results through online mode. Candidates will have to log in using their email ID or username and password to see their result.

DASA result will be valid only for one year for the same session in which the exam will be conducted. Each category will have different percentiles as the minimum qualifying score. Candidates must take a print out of their results for the further counseling process.

DASA Reservation

DASA 2020 reservation will be as per the rules at a particular institution/medical college. It will be provided for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Disability (PwD), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). Candidates opting for reserved seats under any category will have to provide the certificate for proof.

Candidates of the reserved category will have a choice to opt for either reserved seats earmarked or unreserved seats in the order of merit.

DASA 2020 Counselling

The DASA 2020 Counselling will be organized by the authority of NBE. Candidates who will be qualified in the examination have to attend the counseling process.

Shortlisted candidates (by merit list) will get a call for seat allocation. Candidates will have to register themselves through the website for participating in the counseling.

The counseling process will be held in various rounds. It will conduct in first, second & final rounds. The first two round will be held in online mode & the final round will attend through offline mode. Candidates will have to pay Rs. 2500/- for participation. Candidates will have to bring original & attested copies of following documents:

  • MBBS degree certificate
  • The permanent registration certificate issued by MCI authority
  • Internship completion certificate
  • Class 10th & 12th certificate
  • Category certificate
  • DASA 2020 Admit Card
  • DASA 2020 Result
  • Any ID proof issued by Government of India
