Odisha DET referred as Directorate of Technical Education & Training, Odisha invites candidates for admission who are eligible and qualified to 1st Semester Diploma Courses in Engineering/ Technology, Lateral Admission of the eligible Candidates to 3rd Semester Diploma Engineering Courses, 1st Semester/ 1st year Non-Engineering, Film & Television (available at BPFTIO, Cuttack)/ Part Time.
Candidates will get allotted seat on the bases of marks secured in entrance exams. Not only marks are important candidates should also be eligible and qualified to apply. Every year lakhs of candidate’s admission. There are limited seat and completion among candidates is high.

On the basis of the rank secured by the candidate, the admission is offered at the various institutions of the state.
Application for Odisha DET
The application form will be available from last week of April and Last day for submitting Application Form is 1st week of June from the official website.
Candidates are informed to keep the printout of the confirmation page for further reference. Candidates have to fill all detail carefully, and Documents required to be uploaded to the application form are latest coloured passport size photograph. Read all detail carefully after that fill application.
Candidates can pay application form fees through online and offline modes. Through the Online medium, candidates can pay application fees such as ATM cum DEBIT/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ AXIS Bank e-challan only through the Internet. Once payment is made through online or remitted it will not be refunded back. Candidates are suggested to keep copies of filled application form for future use.

How to Apply
Odisha DET 2018 application form is available online on official website of the board from Last Week Of April 2018.
Candidates will have to fill the particulars in online application form along with the application fee details which will be prescribed by the board as Rs. 100/- (for SC/ST/PC/Female) or Rs. 150/- (for male candidates) through the credit card/ debit card/ e-Challan or net banking at any branch of Axis bank.
Candidates would submit the application form via online only.

- You must keep a soft copy of your scanned photo (in jpg format size below 50KB), your scanned signature (in jpg format size below 20KB) before filling the online application form.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates who want to enter in Odisha DET should check eligibility criteria. To get admission into 1st Semester of Engineering / Technology candidates have to Pass in HSC examination/ 10th standard examination conducted/ declared equivalent by BSE. And to apply for the Part-Time programme of Engineering / Technology (4 years Course) 2 years ITI after the 10th Standard minimum of Two (02) years full-time work experience in a registered Firm/Company/Industry/Educational and/ Govt., Autonomous Organizations in the relevant field in which admission is sought. Qualification for an above course is same as 1st-semester engineering and technology. Below is given eligibility criteria according to courses wise so check it carefully.
A) (i) Admission to 1st Semester of Engineering / Technology: Pass in HSC examination/ 10th standard examination conducted/ declared equivalent by BSE, Odisha and obtained at least 35% marks in aggregate, securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination with Math, Science & English subjects.
(ii) Admission to Part-Time programme of Engineering / Technology (4 years Course): Educational qualification as mentioned above at A(i) and 2 years ITI after 10th Standard or Educational qualification as mentioned above at A(i) and minimum of Two (02) years full time work experience in a registered Firm/Company/Industry/Educational and/ Govt., Autonomous Organisations in the relevant field in which admission is sought.
(iii) Admission to 3rd Semester under Lateral Entry Scheme for eligible candidates: Pass in +2 Science Examination from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent examination with PCM / +2 Vocational (2 years course) in any Engineering Trades / 2 years ITI in Engineering Trade with pass in HSC examination / 10th standard examination conducted / declared equivalent by BSE, Odisha securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination.
Age: Minimum 14 years for all courses except Mining/Drilling and Minimum 16 years for Mining/Drilling as on 01.07.2018. No Upper Age limit.
Reservation: Reservation under different categories will be applicable for Odisha State candidates only as per norms specified by Government of Odisha.
Outside State candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria are also eligible for :
(i) Admission to 1st Semester of 3-year Diploma Engineering Courses against 15% seats reserved for them in Private Engineering Schools & Polytechnics only.
(ii) They are also eligible to take admission under Lateral Entry provided they have prosecuted their study for the qualifying examination in an institute in Odisha having approval from the competent authority after exhaustion of State Merit list.
B) Admission to Film & TV Courses (available at BPFTIO, Cuttack):
(i) Cinematography / Sound & TV Engineering : 10+2 Science from any State Board/ ICSE/ CBSE or equivalent declared by CHSE, Odisha with minimum 35% marks in aggregate.
(ii) Film & Video Editing : 10+2 Science / Arts / Commerce from any State Board/ ICSE/ CBSE or equivalent declared by CHSE, Odisha with minimum 35% marks in aggregate.
Age: 16 to 28 years as on 01.06.2018. For SC/ST candidates upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years.
C) Admission to Non-Engineering Diploma Courses:
(i) Modern Office Management (MOM): Pass in 10+2 Examination from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent examination in Science/ Arts/ Commerce recognized by CHSE, Odisha securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination.
(ii) Pharmacy: Pass in +2 Science Examination from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent examination and obtained at least 35% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics as approved by PCI securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination.
(iii) HM&CT: Pass in +2 Examination from CHSE, Odisha or its Equivalent examination with Science/ Arts/ Commerce recognized by CHSE, Odisha and obtained at least 35% marks in aggregate securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination.
(iv) Beauty Culture(BC): Educational qualification is the same as the 1st semester of Engineering/Technology course.
Age: Minimum 14 years for BC & 16 years for other as on 01.07.2018. No Upper Age limit.
Exam pattern
The exam pattern is based on the type of examination. It is illustrated here for your convenience. The Odisha DET will be objective in nature and for final examinations paper will be of Total 100.
150 minutes will be given to complete the examination, not more than time will be given to any candidates.4 marks will be awarded for each question in the question paper of Odisha DET. an incorrect answer will be 1marks deduction. The Odisha DET will be of total 400 marks.
- The exam pattern is decided by the exam conducting authority to present the image of the Odisha DET 2018 in the mind of the candidates. The exam pattern is based on the type of examination. It is illustrated here for your convenience.
- The Odisha DET 2018 will be objective.
- Total 100 questions will be in the final examination.
- 150 minutes will be given to complete the examination.
- Each question in the question paper of Odisha DET 2018 will carry four marks.
- The penalty of 1 mark will be applied for each wrong answer.
- The Odisha DET 2018 will be of total 400 marks.
Admit Card / Hall Ticket
The Odisha DET Admit Card 2018 will be available on the official site of the board in the first week of May 2018. Candidates have to download their admit card by using their name and application number when authority will announce. Candidates have to fill application through online mode only There will not be entertained any other communication like offline or post for the admit card. Candidates may also get their duplicate to admit card if In case candidates lost admit card, a candidate will get hall ticket from the examination centre with payment of Rs. 20/- with two identically photos as uploaded in an application form.

How to Download the Admit Card
Candidates can follow the given simple steps to download admit card/hall ticket:

- Log in by entering your Email ID, DOB & Roll No. or your Application Number & Verification Code.
- Click on ‘Submit’ button.
- Now, admit card displays on the screen.
- Download and take the printouts of admit card for further references.
Results
The candidates are required to enter their respective Odisha DET Roll Number, name etc for checking their result and downloading of their scorecard. Rank list will be announced on an official portal that will decide the rank secured by the candidates. Based on the result of Odisha DET and the cutoff screening, eligible candidates would be selected for the next round of selection process. The selected candidates would be enlisted in a merit list and will be called for counselling to allow the seat by an appearance in the list.
Cutoff
The cutoff score depends on a difficulty level of exam, availability of seats, number of applicants, etc. Deserving candidates can enter for admission who score above cut off, qualified and fulfil all eligibility criteria given. On the base of the cut-off score examination, the authority will prepare the merit list and candidates are called for counselling. Cut-off marks will help candidates to know whether they can apply for DET Odisha or not. Candidates are advised to look previous year cut-off marks this will help you to give you idea how must more marks you have to score to qualify to apply.
Counselling
The Odisha DET Counseling will be started from 1st Week Of July 2018. On the date of document verification, the candidates must pay the fee as Rs. 200/- (Counseling Fee). The application number, user ID, roll number, and password should be kept safe by the candidates for further reference. A candidate is informing who are eligible and appears for counselling have to carry requirement document with them for registration and verification. A merit list will be prepared according to marks secured by candidates in entrance exams.

(i) Downloaded Allotment Letter from the DET website.
(ii) Conduct Certificate and SLC / CLC of the institution last studied.
(iii) Self-attested recent passport size photographs.
(iv) Migration Certificate in case of candidates passing the 10th standard examination from any Board other than Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
