GATE COAP 2019: Important Dates, Eligibility, Admission Procedure

The fourth round of allocations due to COAP is acknowledged through the entrant’s access in June. What is COAP

GATE COAP Eligibility Criteria 2019

  • Entrants have to be Indian Citizens.
  • Contender must have qualified in GATE 2016 or 2017 or 2019. They will be required to produce a scorecard of GATE 2019/2019/2017.
  • They have got to get to know the detailed eligibility norms of the IITs where they have opted for M.Tech admissions.
  • Contenders who have done their B.Tech from an IIT with a minimum of 8.0 CGPA and above will be suitable for straight admissions and should not register at GATE COAP.
  • Other contenders from IITs with under 8 CGPA must have seemed for GATE and joined the IITs before applying to COAP.
  • Contenders who have over one binding GATE score are counseled to apply with the highest GATE score.
  • But during registration contenders must contain all other GATE scores uncertainty any of the last three years. Failing to do so will bring about ineligibility.

GATE COAP 2019 Registration Procedure

  • Registration at COAP: Contenders must submit their Name, GATE Registration number, GATE score, Date of birth, Email ID, Mobile number.
  • Entrants will be referred an Email/SMS after registration which they must use to legalize and use the given login ID to access the GATE COAP 2019 gateway. The SMs will encompass the details of the password. It will be essential to enter in additional GATE scores if any. Afterward, they must defer to the details.
  • After positive registration, contenders will be equal to retrieve information on suggestions made from the IITs where they have joined.
  • All proffers are provided and labeled with COAP registration number which is similar to the GATE registration number lacking subject code.

Admission Offers through GATE COAP 2019

The primary set of proffers will be from May 2019. Contenders will be enlightened via Email/SMS. The proposals will also be shown on the online gateway.

Options after an admission offer are made through GATE COAP 2019

Accept and Freeze:

Once contenders are keen to accept the offer suggested will be counted for elevation to higher first choices in the subsequent rounds. Such candidates must choose this option and go to particular IIT Admission Portal to approve their admission.

Retain and Wait:

This option is for candidates who are receiving one of the current offers but will be contemplated for advancement to their higher preferences, if any, in the subsequent round of proposals. Contenders selecting this choice will not be considered for any rejected suggestions in the current series.

Reject and Wait:

Applicants ought to choose this choice if they are not enthusiastic to take any of the offers. Such contenders are given thought for other advanced preferences, if any, in the succeeding round(s) of admission proffered by any IIT.
