GCET 2018 Second Round Admission has been started on 12th July 2018. GCET 2018 is a state level entrance exam managed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa.GCET 2018 is a state level entrance exam managed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa. GCET referred to (Goa Common Entrance Test) which is organized by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa. GCET is a state level entrance examination. It is a state level entrance exam through which the admissions will be offered in the first year of Architecture & Engineering professional courses.
Through this admission is possible in professional degree courses in the state of Goa. Main aim to conduct this exam is to offer admission to candidates into various courses in the field of architecture, engineering and many other courses. GCET 2018 Result & Answer Key has been released on 14th May 2018.
A candidate wants admission in B.Arch courses to have to appear for NATA. Candidates have to qualify NEET exams for MBBS & BDS courses. Every year candidates take admission and appear exams. Admission is possible on the basis of candidates score marks in entrance exams.

GCET Counselling 2018
GCET 2018 third Round Admission has been started from 13th July 2018.After the result announcement GCET counseling will be started. Candidates have to fill and submit the application form (B) at DTE, Goa or other notified centres and obtain Acknowledgement card with registration number as a proof of form submission.
Admission will be done on the basis of candidates score marks in entrance exams. Candidate appearing counseling has to bring all required documents for registration and verification. If candidates have submitted incorrect document candidates admission will be canceled.
Detail is given in the following point:
- After the result announcement, candidates have to fill the application form (B) at notified location.
- Separate merit list will be prepared for all the courses as per the marks scored in the examination.
- Students will be invited for counselling on the basis of merit list.
- In the GCET admission process, the shortlisted candidates have to present in person at the notified centre.
- At the time of admission, candidates have to bring their original required documents.
- If candidates fail to appear for the admission rounds, their seats will be offered to other candidates in the merit list.
GCET Application Form 2018
The detailed application process is given below:
- GCET 2018 result will be published on 14th May 2018.
- Download the application form and take a printout of it.
- Candidates must fill the application form in their own handwriting.
- The GCET application form will be available from 2nd April 2018.
- GCET 2018 Application Form can be filled till 27th April 2018
- Candidates are required to fill all details on the application form carefully.
- Paste recent photograph in the application form.
- Attach all the required documents like DD, qualifying exam certificates, etc. with the application form.
- Candidates have to submit the application form at the notified locations (as per center opted), on specified dates, along with self-attested copies of required documents.
Application Fee:
Candidates are advised to keep printed copies of filled application form. Candidates have to pay application fee through demand draft in favor of “Director of Technical Education” payable at Panaji from any scheduled bank.
Candidates have to pay the application fee before the due date. Late charged fees will be charged to candidates. Once payment is done it will not be refunded back to candidates.
Belo is given application form fees of GCET exams:
- The application fee of GCET 2018 will be Rs. 1500/-.
- Candidates have to submit the application fee by making Demand Draft.
- The late fee will be charged if the candidate will fill the form after the last date of submission of application form.
- The demand draft should be made in favor of “Director of Technical Education” payable at Panaji from any scheduled bank.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate have to check they are eligible for applying or not if the candidate didn’t know about the basic detail they can face difficulty at the time of admission process. Candidate of the Indian citizen or Non-resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders are also eligible to apply.
Before filling the application form candidates can check their GCET exams eligibility criteria Nationality, Age Limit Criteria, Qualification Criteria, etc given below:
Nationality:
Candidates should be Indian Nationals.
- Non-resident Indians with the valid passport can also apply under seat reserved for NRI category.
- Overseas citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible for admissions to seats under NRI category.
Age Limit Criteria:

Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Sciences, Dentistry, and Nursing: Candidates must have completed their 17 years of age as or on 31st December of the year of admission.
- Pharmacy, Engineering, and Architecture: There is no age limit, minimum or maximum has been mentioned for admission in these courses.
Qualification Criteria:

BHMS & AHS: Must pass the 10+2 of Goa Board or its equivalent examination with English with Physics, Chemistry & Biology subjects with minimum 50% marks for general, 40% marks for SC/ST and OBS.
- Sc Nursing: Candidates must pass HSSC with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 45% marks aggregate and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC.
- Engineering: Candidates must pass 10+2 or equivalent with English, Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects with additional subject among one of the Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology/Chemistry.Must have secured 45% for general & 40% for reserved categories.
- Pharma: Passed 12thor equivalent exam with English, Chemistry & Physics as compulsory subjects & any one of the following Bio-Technology, Mathematics, Biology & Computer Science.
- Arch: Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Mathematics subjects securing 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST & OBC). Candidates must have qualified the NATA exam.
GCET Exam Pattern
Candidates appearing GCET exams have to complete their paper in 2 hours. As per board law candidate will not give extra time to complete paper. Candidate will ask objective type questions with multiple optional answers for each question.
In exams Question, the paper pattern will be in OMR form. For each correct answer, a candidate will be given 1 mark. Following detail of GCET exams, pattern and table are given of subject, no. of the question and maximum marks.
- Number of Questions: Each paper will be consisting of 75 questions.
- Exam Duration: Two hours will be given for each paper.
- Negative Marking: There is no negative marking.
- Marking Scheme: One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- Question Paper Pattern: The pattern of the question paper will be based on OMR sheet.
- Type of Question: it will consist of Multiple Choice Question.

GCET Hall Ticket
Admit card/Hall ticket is the mandatory document which contains detail of candidates like name, roll number, a birth of dates, center etc. Candidate can download hall ticket from official portal. Those who have successfully submitted the application can only download admit card from websites.
Its candidate’s responsibility to keep safe their hall ticket till the completion of exams. If candidates didn’t bring hall ticket at time of exams candidate will not allow writing exams.
- Candidates those successfully submitted the application form can get their admit card.
- Admit card will be issued to candidates in person after submitting the application.
- Candidates must produce the “Photo Admit card” for appearing in the examination.
- It is informed to the candidates to check all details of the exam mentioned on the admit card.
The Goa CET Admit Card will contain
- Name of the candidate
- Date of Birth
- Photograph of the candidate
- Exam Roll Number
- Exam Centre and Date of examination
GCET Result
GCET exams result will be published by conducted authority through online, official portal. Candidates can check result on 2nd or 3rd week of May. No individual score card will be issued to candidates.
Candidates have to keep printed copies of result for verification and registration of admission. To see result candidates have to enter detail in official portal page for correct page type correct detail. If candidates type wrong detail in page website will show error.
- GCET 2018 result will be published in the first week of June 2018.
- Candidates those appeared in the examination can check their results via online mode through the website.
- The individual score card will not be given to any candidate.
- On the basis of the result, the merit list will be prepared for providing admission.
GCET Cutoff
Candidates have to score above cut-off marks to qualify for Goa common entrance test. Different courses and college have different cut-off marks. Candidate will get admission on the basis of candidates score marks in entrance test.
Every year’s college change cut-off marks according to category wise. Cut- off marks of GCET exams is set according to factors like the number of applicants, the number of vacant seats etc.

Important Points of Goa CET Cutoff.

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa will determine the minimum scores obtained by the candidates to be considered for admission to various undergraduate engineering courses at the universities and colleges in Goa.
- DTE, Goa conducts GCET 2017 and is the competent authority that decides GCET 2017 cutoff marks.
- GCET cutoff determinants include various factors like candidates’ performance, seat capacity of the respective courses and the college, total number of test takers, a difficulty level of the paper and reservation policy.
- Applicants failing to meet GCET cut off 2017 will not be considered eligible for admissions to B. Tech/BE programmes at the universities and colleges in Goa.
- On the basis of GCET 2017 cutoff, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa prepares GCET 2017 merit list for the examinees.
- Seats are allocated to candidates as per their ranks in GCET 2017 merit list.

GCET Syllabus
The syllabus of GCET will consist of the various subject like Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Mathematics. The candidate has to prepare for exams from this subjects. The syllabus is based on the syllabus introduced by the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim, for 12th standard (science stream).
Mot of question is asked from a textbook of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Mathematics. A lot of candidates have score high marks because of it. Candidates must prefer textbook rather than digest, unique etc.
