Goa CET/ GCET 2019: Counseling (Started), Result, Merit List, Admission

GCET  2019 Exam DatesGCET 2019 Spot Rond Admission Notification has been Released now. Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET 2019) shall be conducted by Directorate of Technical Education for the academic year 2019-20. It is a state level entrance exam which will be conducted for admitting candidates into degree courses like- Engineering and Pharmacy, B.Arch.,MBBS, BDS, AHS, BHMS, BAMS and Nursing courses. To apply, 3 forms will be released. Form-A will be submitted for Engineering and Pharmacy courses based on GCET 2019 entrance exam.

GCET 2019 Answer key & Result has been Declared on 11th May 2019. The GCET exam 2019 has been held on 7th May 2019 and 8th May 2019. Form-B will be submitted by candidates for MBBS, BDS, AHS, BHMS, BAMS based on NEET 2019 and Nursing courses and Form-C will be submitted for B.Arch based ion NATA- 2019. Candidates MUST be very quick in filling the forms, as DTE will not give more than a week to apply. And if you apply late, it may incur additional charges.

GCET Results 2019

  • The GCET Results 2019 has been declared by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa.
  • The GCET result will be declared in online mode on the official website at dte.goa.gov.in.
  • The GCTE Results 2019 link shall be embedded in the News section.
  • Clicking the link shall display a pdf list carrying GCET Reg. No. marks obtained in Phy, Che, and Mathematics.
  • Last year a total of 24527 candidates had appeared for the exam.

GCET Application Form 2019

  • Form availability– Candidates will be required to download the form from the website www.dte.goa.gov.in, The GCET 2019 Offline Application form has been Available on 25th March 2019.
  • Form details– Affix passport size photograph, write Name (in capital letters), Date of Birth, Place of Birth, Gender, Address, Phone number, HSSC details, GCET Subject code (PY- for Physics, CH- for Chemistry, for MA- for Mathematics), GCET centre code, payment details, declaration.
  • GCET 2019 Offline Registration has been Started Now.
  • The GCET 2019 Offline Application form has been available on 25th March 2019.
  • Candidates can be Submitted Offline Form till 26th April 2019 with Late fee.
  • Now submit the form in person at any center opted by you along with these documents:-

Documents to be submitted along with GCET APPLICATION FORM

  • Self-attested photocopy of SSCE passing certificates
  • 12th class passing certificates/ Examination hall ticket
  • 3 identical photographs
  • DD of Rs. 1800/-

GCET Application fee 2019/ payment mode

  • The application fee for GCET 2019 will be Rs. 1500/.
  • The fees would be remitted through Demand Draft.
  • You may visit the nearest branch of HDFC Bank/any nationalized bank and get a DD drawn in favor of Directorate of Technical Education.
  • The DD should be payable at Panaji.

GCET Eligibility Criteria 2019

Nationality:

  • GCET entrance exam will be open for Indian Nationals. NRIs with a valid passport may also apply. OCI/PIO card holders shall also be considered eligible to apply.

Age Limit:

  • Candidate must have completed the age of 17 yrs. As on or before 31st December 2019 for applying to degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Sciences, and Nursing.
  • For admission to Engineering and Pharmacy course, NO age limit whatsoever.  

Qualification Requirement:

  • MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS & AHS– HSSC pass from Goa board with English and not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% for PH category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology took together.
  • B.Sc Nursing- pass in HSSC with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, and obtained minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC category).
  • The first year B.E.- 12th pass from Goa board with English, Mathematics, and Physics as compulsory subjects and one of- Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology. The other point is that the individual must have obtained not less than 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC).
  • 1st-year B.Pharm.- 12th examination pass from Goa Board or its equivalent with English, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology. And in addition to this, the candidates must not have secured less than 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, and OBC only).
  • 1st-year B.Arch.- HSSC pass from Goa board with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Must have secured not less than 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/OBC). (ii) 3 yrs. Diploma recognized by Central/ State Govt. With 50% marks with Mathematics. (iii) International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 yrs. Of schooling with a minimum of 50% with Mathematics.

GCET Exam Pattern 2019

  • Mode of Exam- Written test (ORS)
  • Duration- 2 hours
  • A number of questions- 75 questions in each subject.
  • Type of questions- Objective type (you will see 4 alternatives for 1 question)
  • Marking Scheme- 1 mark for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking- Not Applicable

GCET Preparation Tips 2019

  • The exam aspirants should know the complete details about the exam pattern and pattern.
  • The next step should be to try and prepare a timetable depending upon the needs of the candidates required in their subjects.
  • Your preparation will be better if you solve previous year question papers side by side.
  • Also, keep an eye for model papers if you can.
  • Revise what you-you have completed at the end of the week in form of test.

GCET Syllabus 2019

  • Physics- Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Optics, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Communication Systems.
  • Chemistry- Solid state, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and process of Isolation of Elements, P- block elements, d and f Block elements, Coordination compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers,Chemistry in everyday life.
  • Mathematics– Relations and Functions, Algebra, Calculus, Vectors and 3-d geometry, Linear programming, Probability.

Admit Cards of GCET 2019

  • The goa authority will issue two admit cards. (i) for the written entrance examination and (ii) second will be an acknowledgement cum admission card.
  • The first admit card will be issued by the Admission Committee. It shall have to be collected from the DTE’s designated centres.
  • Here, submit your application form. No online admit card will be issued.
  • It will be issued in person only if the form is complete in all respects.
  • While the procedure for availing admission card will be to download the prospectus. It will be attached in the prospectus of GCET 2019.
  • Fill entries as the columns indicate.
  • You will be required to produce this admission card at the time of submission of admission form A, B, C.
  • The admission card will be the proof of acceptance of the form.

GCET 2019 Answer Key

  • After the written GCET examination, DTE Goa has been publish the Answer Key online on the official website at www.dte.goa.gov.in.
  • The answer keys will contain solutions of 75 questions in each subject.
  • You will see the answer keys in 4 sets of A, B, C, D.
  • Check your set number from the question paper and match the answers.
  • This will help get an idea about your probable score in GCET 2019 entrance examination.

Admission Form for GCET degree Course Admission

  • After the results announcement, candidates will be required to fill admission forms for taking admission in their desired course.
  • The Centralized Admission Division will issue admission forms.
  • The admission form has to be filled in offline mode. You may, however, download online.
  • Form-A will be submitted for Engineering and Pharmacy courses based on GCET 2019 entrance exam.
  • Form-B will be submitted by candidates for MBBS, BDS, AHS, BHMS, BAMS based on NEET 2019 and Nursing courses.
  • Form-C will be submitted for B.Arch based ion NATA- 2019.
  • Fill entries and attach all the required documents. (Do not attach original documents).
  • Send the form to the concerned authority.
