The Assam University is a Central University located in Silchar, Assam, and was established in the year 1994. Admission to certain courses will be based on Entrance Exams conducted by Assam University while for most of them, scores obtained in external Entrance Exams will be considered.

Assam University is a teaching-cum-affiliating Central University. The main campus is located at Dargakona, near Irongmara about 20 km from Silchar, while a second campus of the university is at Diphu, in the East Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

• The students seeking admission must be filling the form that has been made available by the Head of University at their official page that is www.aus.ac.in
• The application form must be entered with personal and study details in an accurate way.
• Applicants have to visit the official website to apply for the courses.
• On the home page, the applicants will be able to see the link for the application form.
• Once the applicant clicks on the link the application will open on the new page.
• It is important to fill the application with all the correct and accurate information.
• Once the application is filled applicants can also select the online medium and click on the submit tab.
• Make sure to pay the application fee also as it is a part of the application process.
• Applicants also have to keep a hard copy of the application form as it will be required at the time of admission.
• If the applicants decide to apply the offline mode they have to do so before the last submission date or else it will be rejected or the applicant will have to pay a late fee.
• Also, the fee has to be paid by the Demand Draft.

• The Challan can be deposited in any branch of the State Bank of India.
• The applicant should keep his/her copy of Challan after depositing the requisite fee.

Reservation Criteria

The seats will be reserved at Assam University under the decision of the Government of India respective of SC, ST, OBC, PWD.
