The NEET MDS Entrance Examination is the national level medical entrance test conducted through the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to offer admission to the candidates in the Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) course.

In the various governments, private, deemed, and central universities of India, admission will provide to the candidates.

Those candidates will be eligible and wish to get admission to the MDS course; they can apply in this examination by filling the application form online mode by visiting the official website.

The following sequence shall be observed while filling the online application form for exams:

  • Fill the registration form for obtaining User ID and Password
  • User ID and password will be then, sent through SMS and Email
  • Fill the application form and upload your photograph & signature
  • Choose your test city
  • Make a payment of fees
  • Take a printout of the filled application form with a transaction ID printed on it.

Upon creating a profile, you will receive a User ID and Password on your registered email ID and mobile number. Using these credentials you can log in as a registered applicant to fill the application form. The application may be saved at the respective stage and can be re-visited to complete later. Once the form is submitted, you will be allowed to edit the details in the application form. Candidates may note that the following data of the application form is non-editable:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Category of candidate
  • Nationality
  • Mobile No.
  • Email address
  • Testing City
  • Photograph
  • Signature

Kindly follow the instructions below before you start registration:

  • Check your eligibility for the exams by referring to the information bulletin on the NBE website.
  • Ensure you have a valid email id and mobile number.
  • “*” (asterisk) indicates a mandatory field. The boxes marked with this symbol are mandatory.
  • Keep the following information ready for filling the form:
  1. Personal details
  2. Educational Qualification Details and DCI/SDC registration details, if applicable 10+2 Exam Equivalent details and Internship Details, if applicable
  3. Scanned images of your passport size photograph and signature (as per NBE guidelines)

Step 1: Registration to get a User ID and Password 0 Go to https://nbe.edu.in

  • Then click on the Specific “Exam Name” for which you want to fill the application form
  • Then click on “New Registration,” and you will be directed to a registration form page

The entries in the registration form cannot be changed once submitted, hence, ensure that you enter the required information as below correctly.

  • Name of Candidate: This should be the same as on valid government id proof.
  • Date of Birth: Use the calendar icon to select the correct date.
  • Gender: Enter your gender (Male/Female)
  • Nationality: Please enter your nationality (Indian/Others). In the case of others, please enter your Country of Nationality and Other Nationality details.
  • Mobile Number: Should be valid and unique. You will receive your User ID and Password as an SMS on this number only.
  • Email Address: Should be valid and unique. You will receive your User ID and Password on this email address only.
  • Captcha: The Captcha box is a special set of characters displayed on the screen. You will need to retype the characters in the box provided. This is a safety feature designed to ensure that a human is entering the details and not a computer program. If you have trouble reading the characters, click on ‘Get a new image’ to refresh the letters.

By selecting the “Submit” button, you are committing to be honest and fair in all your actions and information provided in the Registration Form.

Confirmation of Registration

Within minutes of submitting the Registration Form, you will receive a User ID and password on the registered email address from the Administrator. Ensure that you check your mailbox immediately and that it is not considered as spam mail.

You will also receive the User ID and Password as an SMS* on the registered mobile number. Using these credentials, you may proceed to complete your application. (*Please note SMS will not be sent to international numbers)

Step 2: Fill Application Form

Registered Users Click on ‘Applicant login’ to access the Application form with User ID and password received on your email and mobile number.
Click on the ‘Go to Application Form’ button and please read the important instruction carefully.
The Application Form is categorized into the following three sections:

  1. Personal Details
  2. Qualification Details
  3. Test Center Details

Read the Note on a pop-up page of the form before you begin to fill in the information. You need to fill a section-wise application form. Once the mandatory details in a section are filled, you can move to the next section by clicking on Save and Next. However, you will not be allowed to navigate to the next section, if mandatory information is not filled or the required documents are not uploaded. To navigate back to the previous section, you can click on the name of the previous section tab.

You can edit the application form any number of times but, few fields are non-editable. The non-editable fields include the following:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Category of candidate
  • Nationality
  • Mobile No.
  • Email address
  • Testing City
  • Photograph
  • Signature

Once you have completed the last section and then, click on the Submit button. You will be re-directed to

make the payment. Once payment is made, your application is considered complete. Post this, changes to the application can be done but, are applicable to limited fields only as defined above.

Please Note: Once all the information is filled in, payment has to be made for the particular exam to ensure the particular test city chosen by you is assigned to you.

Please do not send the hard copy of the application to NBE.

The following section gives a glimpse of the important details required while filling the application form:

Personal Details

  • The candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Mobile Number, and Email address will be automatically populated based on the information provided at the time of registering your profile.
  • Father’s Name and Mother’s Name need to fill.
  • Select the Category (General/SC/ST/OBC)
  • Select Are you a person with Disability (Yes/No)
  • Identification Details: The following ID proofs are valid – Aadhaar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, and Voter’s ID. Please select one of the details from the dropdown and enter its related details.
  • Enter Your Communication Address, which will be used for future communication and allocating a test center state in the case, and you pick the State as “others” while choosing the Test Center Details.

Once this section is complete, click on Save and Next to proceed to the next section.

Qualification Details

Enter the 10+2 equivalent exam details, if Applicable – Subject and Percentages. If you have studied only four subjects, please enter Subject 5 as NA and marks as 01
BDS / Primary Medical Qualification details – Enter the following details

  1. Country of completion of BDS Qualification – In case of others, please enter country details
  2. Name of Country
  3. State of completion – It is others in case Country is others
  4. City of completion
  5. University of completion
  6. University name
  7. Name of college
  8. Month and Year of Passing

Internship Details
SDC/DCI Registration Details

Once this section is complete, click on Save and Next to proceed to the next section.

Test Center Details Documents to be uploaded

  • Upload your recent passport size photograph (Maximum 80 Kb size, in JPG/JPEG format)
  • Upload your scanned signature (Maximum 80 Kb size, in JPG/JPEG format)

Note for Uploading Documents

  • The documents are to be uploaded in the mentioned size limits. The system will not accept documents beyond desired size limits.
  • To reduce the size, open your document image in MS Paint by adjusting the resolution.

Once the documents are uploaded, please pick the test center details.
Select the State in which you wish to appear in the test. Cities in that particular state will be shown automatically. Please choose a test city. In case the testing seat is not available in the state in which you prefer to appear for the exam, you can choose the option OTHERS from the list of States at the time of selection of the state during the online submission of the application form.
NBE will make all efforts to ensure that the candidate is allotted a testing center in the State of communication address of the candidate. In case the testing seat is not available in the concerned state due to logistic, administrative, and other reasons, the testing center in a nearby State shall be allocated.
Read the declaration and fill the Captcha. Click on I Agree on the checkbox to complete the application form. Before submitting, the candidate must check whether he has filled all the details correctly.
Then, click on the Submit button. On clicking submit, the candidate will be re-directed to the payment gateway to make the payment.

Submission of Fee

The Applicable test fee will be displayed on the payment gateway page.

  • Candidate needs to select the mode of Payment: Net Banking/Card Payment
  • Until the payment is successful (if applicable), the candidate will not be registered for the test.
  • Please download the Application PDF post-payment for any future communication (if required).
  • Testing the city will be confirmed only after the successful payment of the fee.
  • City selection is a dynamic process and will be confirmed only after successful payment.

Guidelines for Scanning Photograph and Signature
Photographs obtained through the following modes are acceptable:

  • Through digital camera/webcam.
  • By scanning a physical photograph

Guidelines for capturing the photo through digital camera/webcam

  1. Set the resolution of the digital camera/webcam to the highest value.
  2. Hold the camera vertically and click the photo having a white background.
  3. The photograph must be clicked in appropriate light conditions so that the face should be clearly visible against a white background.
  4. Crop the captured photo having a face and upper body part like a passport photo.
  5. The size of the image should be less than 80kb. If the size of the image is more than 80 kb resize the image to the required size.

Guidelines for Scanning Photograph Image

  1. The photograph must be a passport size color photograph without borders and clearly showing the face. 2. Photograph must be recently clicked or should not be more than six months old. The dimension of photograph must be 3.5*4.5 cm (width*height).
  2. The photograph must be clicked in color with a white background only.
  3. Draw a box of 3.5*4.5 cm (width*height) on A4 white paper sheet and paste the photo in the box.
  4. Scan the box with photograph pasted in it, not the whole paper sheet. Save the image as .jpg/.jpeg/.image
  5. The size of the image should be less than 80kb. The size of the image can be checked by right click on the image and then go to the “Properties” link.
  6. If the size of the image is more than 80 kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as set the dpi of the scanner to 200 dpi and the quality of the image at low. If the image size is still more than 80 kb, then resize the image to the given specifications.

Check for the following before uploading the photograph File:

  1. The photograph should be color with white background. 2 Size of the image should be less than 80kb 3.Scanner dpi should be 200 dpi.
  2. The image should be in .jpg/.jpeg format.

Guidelines for Scanning Signature

  1. Draw a box of 6×3 cm (width x height) on a white paper sheet.
  2. Take a thick tip black/blue ink pen (preferably fountain pen).
  3. The applicant has to put his/her signature in full in the box drawn.
  4. The following kind of signatures are NOT acceptable:
  • Signature containing Initials only
  • Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS
  • Signature with overwriting
  1. Signature must be signed by the applicant, not by any other person. Signature should be done in the center of the box.
  2. Scan the box with signature only, not the whole sheet. Save the signature as a .jpg/.jpeg image.
  3. The size of the image should be less than 80kb. The size of the image can be checked by right click on the image and then go to the “Properties” link.
  4. If the size of the image is more than 80 kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as set the dpi of the scanner to 200 dpi and the quality of the image at low. If the image size is still more than 80 kb, then resize the image to the given specifications.

Check for the following before uploading the Signature File:

  1. The signature should be clear and without overwriting on a white paper sheet within a box of 6*3 cms (width*height).
  2. The size of the image should be less than 80kb
  3. Scanner dpi should be 200 dpi.
  4. The image should be in .jpg/.jpeg format.

I can’t save the qualifications details of the application.when I save this page it shows an error seems to have occurred please try again later.Even iam tried high speed LAN Internet connection also.But still I can’t submit the application.
