GK Section of XAT

Q. 1 What should I do if there is a lot of delay in accessing the page?

A. 1 Speed for Registration of Online Application on the Internet is based on various factors like Internet Speed, the large number of applicants trying to register the application at the same time, etc. Therefore, if you are unable to register immediately, please retry after 15 minutes or during the late hours.

Q. 2 How do I know that my application is registered?

A. 2 Successful Registration is indicated by the Page displayed after clicking the Submit Button indicating the generated “XAT ID.” Please note down the same care and preserve it. If you do not maintain it, you will not be able to Re-Print the Application and download the Admit Card.

Q. 3 I did not receive the email intimation for registration of my Application?

A. 3 “XAT ID” and “PASSWORD” are also sent by auto-response Confirmation emails. Delivery of these emails purely depends on the E-mail ID provided during the registration.

Q. 4 How do I re-confirm that my application is saved?

A. 4 In case of doubt about the successful Registration, candidates are advised to visit the Page for Re-Print of Application, generate the Printout and preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the Application.

Q. 5 I got Blank / Zero XAT ID after submission of application online?

A. 5 In rare cases, Candidates may get Zero (0) XAT ID with valid Password. Candidates are advised to Re-Register the Application and check the Printout through Re-Print Application.

Q. 6 I did not receive the acknowledgment/reply to my email communication?

A. 6 “Reply to” Email Id for the Application is created for the convenience of the Candidates for good communications. Please do not use this address to send back the emails for “Acknowledgment,” “Vacation Mail,” “Friendship Offers,” “Sales Offers” etc. Our Email Server is configured to delete such emails automatically.

Q. 7 What details should I provide while writing for the problem?

A. 7 Please do not forget to provide the following details while writing to us: (1) XAT ID (2) MOBILE NO. (3) DATE OF BIRTH & (4) FULL NAME as entered in the application. In case of application failure or an error message, we would like to have the screenshot of the error in JPG, GIF format or as MS Word file. Additionally, you may provide the PC Details including the Operating System (like Windows XP, Vista, Linux, etc.) & Internet Browser & version (like Internet Explorer 6.0, Mozilla 3.0, Firefox 3.5, etc.) used.

A. 8 Before submission of the online application, please choose the ‘EDIT’ option to correct the details. Please remember to take fresh print out after modifying any details. Candidate should note that the data entered in Basic Info cannot be changed.

  • Particular emphasis lies on the Current Affairs, International Affairs, Business Deals, and developments. For example, XAT GK questions last year in 2019 included the GK questions on Cryptocurrency, Nobel Prize winner in Economics, Business houses starting operation in foreign countries, among others.
  • There are questions on the Indian Constitution also in GK section in XAT.
  • Students should know the necessary details about the headquarters, currency, capital, Who’s who among others
  • Broad and essential points about various schemes of the Government such as the UDAN, Swachh Bharat, Start-up India, Make in India, Abhiyaan among others should be prepared.
  • Business and Economics are also favorite topics that always corner the questions in this section. One should prepare on these topics very well.
