Below is given dates (Tentatives) of HPU MAT. Events are mentioned such as the Last date for applying online, Release of Admit card, HPU MAT results announcement, and Declaration of final results for non-reserved category etc.

HPU MAT 2018 Application Form

Registration of application for HPU MAT 2018 will start from the month of April and end in May. Those who are interested can fill application through online as well as by offline. Read all details carefully and then fill application.  After filling upload your scan passport size photo.

Candidates who are applying have to apply formality fees. Application form fees are different according to candidates’ category wise. All applier are requested to keep copies of a filled application.

Online Application Mode

Candidates have to create an account on the website of the University.

• Log onto the official website of Himachal Pradesh University Business School.
• Click on the ADMISSIONS section and register yourself from through a valid e-mail ID.
• Once the ID is created then you can access the form to fill.
• The online application form is divided into the following categories

1. Personal information
2. education and document details
3. application summary
4. Payment
5. Submit reference number and application form

• After filling the details click on the SAVE button. Candidates will receive a system generated registration number and password in the given mobile number and email ID.
• Candidates have to upload a scanned copy of their mark sheet and certificates as per the given specification.

1. Maximum file size of the PHOTOGRAPH should be 100 KB in .jpeg or .jpg format only.
2. Scanned copy of the file name of CANDIDATES SIGNATURE should be of 10 characters with maximum file size should be 100 KB and only in .jpg or .jpeg format
3. File name of the CANDIDATES PARENTS SIGNATURE should not increase 10 characters and should be 100 KB in .jpeg or .jpg format only.
4.  Applicants MARKSHEET/CERTIFICATE should be of 2 MB only in PDF format.

• Application fee of INR 1000 can be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking in online registration.

Offline Application Mode

Students are required to buy the prospectus from the admissions counter at HPUBS counter.

• The application form is attached with it and can be filled and submitted at the counter with the application fee.
• In offline registration, the payment has to be done through a demand draft of INR 1000 in the favor of HPUBS payable at Shimla at the following address-

HPU MAT 2018 Eligibility

All applier must check full criteria given. Candidates can apply who have graduated with minimum 50% (45% for reserved category students) marks from a recognized university. Candidates who are in final year of Graduation are eligible to apply but they have to present the passing certificate at the time of admission

A candidate who wants to apply for HPU MAT entrance exam must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria’s-

• AGE LIMIT-The upper age limit for male candidates is 26 years whereas for females it is 28 years. The upper limit to candidates belonging to the SC/ST category for both male and female is 29 years.
• ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION-The basic eligibility for a Student who wants to apply for the exam must have graduated with minimum 55% in any bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. The minimum percentage is relaxed to 45% for special category student. Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply only after they fulfill the selection criteria
• CITIZENSHIP/RESIDENTIAL CRITERIA-There are no specific limitations to a student’s nationality or residential status.

HPU MAT 2018 Exam Pattern

HPU MAT exam candidates have to answer multiple choice questions. In the question paper, 200 questions will be asked of four subjects. There are four options for each question and correct answer should be chosen by candidates.The candidates have to select one option for the right answer. Answer Selection, more than one may lead to marks deduction.Each correct answer will be awarded one mark and there will be no negative marking.

HPU MAT 2018 Exam Pattern can be viewed through these points-

• HPU MAT is of 2-hour duration which is a pen and paper test.
• The question paper is divided into 4 parts comprising of 50 questions each, making 200 questions in total.
• Each question comprises of 1 mark and the paper is of 200 marks.
• The paper is divided into English comprehension, reasoning, business environment and arithmetic comprehension and DI.
• There is no negative marking for any question.

HPU MAT 2018 admits cards will be available on the online official portal.  Appearing candidates can download admit card on scheduled date as mentioned in the admission notification. Admit cards will be sent to each candidate by post on a residential address and all candidates are advised to download it to avoid any hassle.

HPU MAT 2018 Result

HPU MAT results will be published by authority on an online official website in June end. Candidates are advised to keep copies of result for further needs. By using their application number, password and ID proof candidates can access result page. A merit list will be prepared for GD/PI round.

HPU MAT Cutoff 2018

The cutoff for HPU MAT 2018 will be released by HPUBS. On the basis of the HPU MAT 2018 cutoff marks, the final admission will be granted. The HPU MAT cut off for Open category candidates was 26.75 last year.

HPU MAT 2018 Counselling

Candidates who are attaining counselling have to carry required documents with them.

The schedules of GD/PI round will be published on the official website candidates selected have to check the date and venue of their GD/PI on the website and be present in person for the same. In absence of a candidate, their seat will be given to next candidate.

HPU MAT 2018 Syllabus

In HPU MAT 2018question asked will be objective type having 200 Multiple Choice Questions. A question will be asked of syllabus subjects. Subjects will be from four sections – English Comprehension, Reasoning, Business Environment and Arithmetic Comprehension & Data Interpretation.

HPU MAT 2018 Exam Centers

• HPU MAT is currently conducted in 8 cities and in various examination centers.
• The business school reserves the right to adjust the date/center of entrance examination.
