(IBAB) Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology has conducted the Online entrance test for PG (M.Sc) Admissions for eligible candidates. IBAB Application Form


 

IBAB Application Form is available on online mode. Candidates can check application form from the official portal. Candidates filling online candidates have to register their name and have to upload his/her 2 passport size photos and photocopies of mark sheets by post/courier.

Read all detail carefully before filling an application and write as on given format. And keep print copies of filled application form for further use. Candidates have to fill the application form before the due dates if didn’t application will not be accepted. Below is given guidelines like how to fill, when to fill, where to fill details. TOP GUIDELINES TO FILL UP THE APPLICATION


  • Mark the appropriate option with a tick in the boxes provided.
  • Write name and address in block letters. Please leave a space between any two words.
  • Candidates should fill in their name as it appears in their degree certificate and avoid abbreviations.
  • Write clearly the valid e-mail IDs that you use most often. This is critical to get the login and password to write the online test.
  • Only photocopiesof mark-sheets starting from 10th standard onwards up to the highest degree obtained are to be enclosed along with the application along with proof of the date of birth.
  • Do not send original mark sheets or certificates or any other document.
  • Additional supporting document (photocopy only) is to be submitted by NRI/foreign candidates for proof of NRI/foreign status
  • Applicants are encouraged to fill up the application form online. They should follow it up by immediately sending the DD for an application fee, 2 passport size photos and photocopies of mark sheets by post/courier.
  • Applicants who cannot apply online can apply by downloading the application form. Other requirements are as above.

 

 

IBAB APPLICATION FEES


Candidates can pay application form fees by online as well as by offline. Online by NEFT) and offline by cash and by DD(Demand draft). Candidates are informed that once it is paid it will not be refunded back.

Candidates of Indian citizen have o pay Rs. 500/- and NRI/Foreign candidates Rs.1000/- for application form fees. Candidates must keep print copies of filled application form for further use.

IBAB ELIGIBILITY


Different courses have different eligibility criteria so, don’t forget to check. Applying candidates should know full eligibility criteria. Often candidate forgets to check criteria that affect them at the time of taking admission. All candidates who wish to take admission should check that they are eligible to apply or not. Candidates should know bases things like Nationality, qualifications criteria, age criteria and minimum percentages needed etc detail.

Detail such as Applying candidates should have completed a bachelor’s degree (B.Tech, B.E, B.Sc, MBBS, BDS, B.Pharm, BAMS) in any subject of Science/Technology such Computer Science, Chemistry, Pharma, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Agriculture, Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Sciences .The applicant is required to obtain at least 50% (overall) in his/her Bachelor’s degree to be eligible.

 

  • Applicant should have completed a bachelor’s degree (BTech, BE, BSc, MBBS, BDS, BPharm, BAMS) in any subject of science/technology such computer science, chemistry, pharma, physics, mathematics, statistics, biotechnology, zoology, botany, biochemistry, microbiology, agriculture, medicine, dentistry or veterinary sciences. Students who are expected to complete their course by June/early July are also eligible.
  • The applicant is required to obtain at least 50% (overall) in his/her Bachelor’s degree.
  • There is no age bar for applying.

 

 

 

IBAB Exams pattern


Candidates are given exams dates, exams pattern, and syllabus so they become familiar with all detail and can prepare for exams without having any dough’s. Candidates are given syllabus question will be asked from it so study well according to it. Candidates have to complete paper in 1hours and 45 seconds.

No extra time will be given to any candidates as per board’s rules. An exam is conducted in online based mode. Total 115 questions will be asked. In exams, a question will be asked from syllabus from subjects such as biology, English, maths & general aptitude, physics, and chemistry.

Below is mentioned information of exams pattern:


  • While a small number of questions are shown as examples here, the actual number in the final test will have about 115 questions to be answered in 105 minutes.
  • The division of questions across domains, in the final exam, will be as follows BIOLOGY – 30, ENGLISH – 10, MATHS & GENERAL APTITUDE – 35, PHYSICS – 15 and CHEMISTRY – 20.
  • No need to worry if you don’t know the answers to all questions. Since the questions come from diverse subjects, it is expected most students may not answer all questions.
  • Online test will have multiple choice questions of 10+2 science level, from different subjects.
  • There will be no negative marks in the entrance test.

 

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • IBAB reserves the right to reject the application if the applicant does not meet the required criteria.

  • First round of selection is by a simple, multiple choice online entrance test that can be taken from any place (even from your home).
  • Second round of selections is via an interview at IBAB.
  • Application fee can be paid through cash, NEFT or by a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favor of ‘Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology’ payable at Bengaluru. NEFT details are given below.
  • The application will be processed only on receipt of the application fee.
  • All the original certificates should be produced for verification at the time of interview.
  • You must apply for a migration certificate at your college immediately after completion of your degree course; it is required to join the IBAB course.
  • Foreign students should follow the instructions applicable to NRI candidates.

 

IBAB  ONLINE ENTRANCE TEST:


  • Applicants have to take the online entrance test. They can take the test from any place with a good computer (yes, even from their homes) provided a good internet connection is available.
  • Login and password will be sent to the applicants only on receipt of application fee and through email only (hence, it is essential to email
  • Online test will have multiple choice questions of 10+2 science level, from different subjects.
  • Applicants will be asked to first take a TRIAL online test before the final test, to familiarize themselves with the online test
  • Duration of the test is for 100 min. There will be no negative marks in the entrance test.

IBAB Admit cards


Candidates of IBAB can download their hall ticket from official portal. Candidates can check on online mode. If candidates want to download admit cards follow the given steps below. Those candidates successfully submitted can only download the admit cards.

Candidates must know that admit cards is mandatory documents so keep it safe until the exam gets over. It’s candidates responsible to keep safe their hall ticket. Candidates are suggested to keep print copies of hall ticket for further use.

All candidate have to carry their hall ticket with ID proof for verification. A candidate who didn’t bring will not permit to write the paper in the examination hall. Admit cards contain candidates detail such as:

How to Download the Admit Card


Candidates can follow the given simple steps to download admit card/hall ticket:

  • Visit the official link
  • Login by entering your Email ID, DOB & Roll No. or your Application Number & Verification Code.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button.
  • Now, admit card displays on the screen.
  • Download and take the printouts of admit card for further references.

 

IBAB Result


The result will be published by authority on official portal. Candidates can check their IBAB result on online mode. Candidates have to visit the official portal and have to type correct detail in it to access result page. If candidates type incorrect detail in web portal page will show error. So type correct detail for correct page.

Candidates can save IBAB result page in laptop/computer or can also take screenshots if they want for further use. Candidates are informed that personally result will be sent to any candidates through via post email etc by any authority. Keep print copies of IBAB result for further admission process.

 

INTERVIEW AT IBAB


Candidates who score above cut-off marks and are eligible to apply will be called for the counseling session. A merit list will be prepared according to candidate score marks in entrance marks. Deserving candidates will be granted admission on the basis of their marks.

Candidates have to face round who passes all rounds of an interview will be called. While attaining counseling candidates have to bring all requirements documents with them for the use of verification and registration.

Candidates are requested to submit all correct documents if in case candidates submitted incorrect documents that candidate application will be canceled. Documents needed during interviews is given below and few important points.
