ICAR Exam syllabus

ICAR AIEEA 2018 syllabus will be prescribed by the exam conducting authority.ICAR Syllabus 2018 for students seeking admission to Bachelor degree programs in agriculture.

and allied subjects (other than Veterinary Science) in Agricultural Universities in the academic year 2018-18 has been provided, by ICAR institutes.ICAR examination is conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research on All India basis. It is a national level entrance exam, whose 15% seats of bachelor degree programmes (B.Sc ag./ B.Tech/ B.F.Sc, etc) in Agricultural Universities (AUs) will be filled through ICAR AIEEA UG exam.

It gives admission to eligible candidates who have passed 10+2 level examination.Or at present studying in 10+2. The application process for ICAR 2018 will be started from the second week of April 2018.

There will be only one question paper comprises of 180 questions, multiple-choice objective type questions will be on the exam:

ICAR  Entrance Exam: 

ICAR  is a council which conducts all the entrance examination for admission agricultural colleges in India for UG and PG courses in India.

An entrance examination is the first step to enter in the ICAR  AIEEA 2018, this examination is held by the institute of India.

By taking the entrance examination institute comes know about the candidate’s knowledge those are applied for the exam.

To enter any field the particular candidates should compulsory to crack the entrance exam.

A student may appear for entrance exam after 12 or after graduation, every entrance examination has its own eligibility, standards, rules etc.


Exam Pattern

The exam pattern details are given below:


No. Of Questions: It has only single question paper containing 180 multiple choice questions. 60 question will be asked from each subject.


Subjects: The questions will be asked in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Agriculture.


Duration: The duration of the exam will be 2 1/2 hours


Attempts: Out of five subjects, candidates have to attempt only three subjects.


Marks: The question paper will be of 720 marks.


Medium: The question paper medium will be English as well as Hindi.


Marking Scheme: For correct answer, 4 marks will be allotted to the candidates


Negative Marking: There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.




No. of Questions: The question paper of AIEEA PG admission test for each of the 20 major subject groups consists of 150 MCQ type questions and 10 cross-matching type questions.


Marks: The question paper will be 650 marks.


Medium: The medium of the question paper will be English only.


  • Marking Scheme: For the correct response, 4 marks (for MCQ) & 5 Marks (for cross-matching type questions) will be awarded to the candidates.


  • Negative Marking: There is the provision of negative marking of 1 mark for every MCQ incorrect answer and 0.2 marks for incorrect matching type sub-question/pairing.

ICAR entrance exam  Eligibility criteria

  • Nationality: must be Indian national.
  • Age: candidate should not less than 16 years.
  • Qualification: at least 12th appeared.
  • Marks: minimum 50% for general, OBC and 40% for others


CAR AIEEA 2018 Syllabus


Applicants can view the full program of MU and PG programs offered by the ICAR IAEA Entrance Exam. The power to conduct the exam will provide the curriculum for each course offered at the university.  Candidates can check their result at the website of ICAR, ICAR result declared by Indian council of agriculture.The candidates can check the result online through the ICAR website.

On the basis of the student’s result, national talent scholarship will be given to the particular candidate.whereas 475 ICAR-Junior Research Fellowships will be given to the  PG degree merit holder students.

The candidate will eligible to take admission in the specific course in agricultural programs, sites per candidates choice and merit available.
