IMU CET 2019 Application Form


IMU CET 2019 Online Registration will start from the 4th week of March 2019, and the Last date for Online Registration (except BBA programme) is 2nd week of May 2019. Submit application form before the maturity date.

  • Candidates can fill application form only through online mode.
  • The university will release the IMU CET 2019 online application form from the fourth week of March 2019.
  • Candidates can apply till the second week of May 2019 except BBA course.
  • After filling details, upload scanned copy of the photograph, signature, 10th Mark Sheet (as proof of Date of Birth), 12th std/degree certificate (if applicable), category certificate & other relevant documents.
  • Candidates must keep printed copies of the application for future use, after form submission.
  • The university will also send an email/SMS to the registered candidate about form submission.

Application Fee:

Candidates have to pay application fees as per candidates category wise mentioned below. Payment can be done through online as well as by offline mode

  • The application fee will be  1000 (General) & Rs. 700 (SC/ST category).
  • Candidates can submit the fee through online (credit card/debit card) or offline (bank Challan) mode.

 

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2019


Below is provided IMU CET 2019 eligibility criteria for UG, PG and for other courses.

Before applying candidates must check criteria whether you fulfill all criteria to apply or not. Different courses have various criteria.

For UG Courses-

Age Criteria:

  • Minimum Age: The minimum age limit should be 17 years as on 17thJuly 2019.
  • Maximum Age: The maximum age limit should be 25 years as on 17thJuly 2019.
  • Relaxation: There will be 5 years relaxation in maximum age limit for SC/ST category.

Qualification Criteria:

Courses Eligibility
B.Tech (Marine Engineering/ Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering)/ B.Sc (Nautical Science/ Maritime Science) Passed 10+2/equivalent examination with 60% marks (PCM) & 50% marks (English) in class 10th/12th.
DNS programme leading to B.Sc (Applied Nautical Science) Passed 10+2/ equivalent (PCM: 60% marks)
OR
B.Sc (PCM)/B.Sc (Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the years) with marks not less than 60% marks.
OR
Passed BE/B.Tech with minimum 50% marks.
Note: English Marks are to be 50% or more in any one of the above examination.

For PG Courses-

Courses Eligibility
M.Tech (Marine Technology and Management) BE/B.Tech in Marine Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Naval Architecture with at least 60% marks.
OR
Associate Member of Institution of Engineers Part A and B in Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks (by examination).
OR
MEO Class I Certificate of Competency.
Note: Candidates with prescribed GATE/GRE Scores are exempted from IMU’s CET.
M.Tech (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering/Dredging and Harbour Engineering) Passed Engineering Graduate in Mechanical/ Civil/ Marine /Naval Architecture or equivalent with 60% aggregate.
MBA (Port & Shipping Management/International Transportation Logistics Management) Passed bachelor’s degree in any discipline with the minimum of 50% marks & 50% marks (English) in class 10th/12th/UG degree.

Note: For SC/ST category, there will be 5% relaxation in eligibility marks, it will not apply to English marks. Appearing Candidates can also apply but they qualify the exam before 31st May 2019.

Other Eligibility:

  • Candidates should be medically fit & meet the medical requirements as specified by DGS guidelines.
  • Candidates have a good binocular vision. The vision should be 6/6 (normal) in each eye separately.
  • For B. Tech (Marine Engineering), the vision should be unaided 0.5 (6/12) in each eye or 0.67 (6/9) in the better eye and 0.33 (6/18) in the other eye.

 

IMU CET Exam Pattern 2019


IMU CET 2019 exam will be conducted in the 4th week of May 2019.

Exam will be held through online mode. In the paper, the question asked will be multiple choice types.

Complete paper within 3 hours as per rules and regulation.

The exam pattern details for UG & PG courses are given here:

  • Exam Mode: The examination will be organized through online mode.
  • Number of Questions: In the examination, total 200 questions (for all UG) & total 120 questions (for MBA/M.Sc/M.Tech) will be asked.
  • Type of Questions: The questions will be multiple choice types.
  • Duration: The examination will be of 3 hours.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, one mark will be allotted to the candidates.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking for the wrong answer.

IMU CET Syllabus 2019


Prepare for IMU CET 2019 exam from syllabus prescribed by University.

Syllabus for UG courses will be consisting of English, General Aptitude, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at Plus 2 level.

Question asked in the MBA & M.Sc examination will be asked from Quantitative ability, Data interpretation, Verbal ability and Logical Reasoning.

M.Tech course, the syllabus comprised of English, Mathematics and one of Mechanical Engineering/Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering/Civil Engineering.

 

 

IMU CET Admit Card 2019


Candidates who have successfully submit application form and fees can only download the IMU CET 2019 admit cards. For UG & PG courses admit card will be issued in the second week of May 2019.

  • Candidates will be also informed by University about admit card through SMS or email.
  • All candidates have to download their IMU CET 2019 admit card from the official website.
  • Through online mode, the only candidate will be able to download.
  • Candidates will be able to download UG & PG courses admit in the second week of May 2019.
  • Candidates will be not allow to enter in examination hall without valid admit cards.

 

IMU CET Result 2019


Candidates can download their IMU CET 2019 results who have appeared on the entrance exam.

Authority will issue the IMU CET 2019 result in the last week of May 2019 but for UG, MBA & M.Tech courses result will be release separately.

  • Result can be check by candidates through online mode on the official website which will be in a pdf format.
  • Candidates must keep print copies of result for admission procedure.
  • By entering the IMU CET 2019, register number candidates can check their performance in the entrance exam.
  • After the examination candidates can check the evaluation of answers, along with the result answer key ill be released.

 

IMU CET Counselling 2019


Candidates will be called for counselling for IMU CET 2019 on the bases of candidates score marks in entrance exam.

After few days of result declared the admission authority will start the counselling. Counselling will start from the first week of June 2019.

  • A merit list will be prepared according to candidate’s marks ranks in the entrance exam.
  • Candidates have to carry important requirement documents and physical fitness, etc.
  • Admission into IMU campuses is limited through the online counselling but other affiliated institutions will not include in this counselling procedure.
  • Candidates who are qualified can apply directly to the affiliated institutions on the basis of IMU CET score.
  • Candidates who are participating in counselling they have to pay Rs. 10,000 (Non-refundable).
