International Literacy DayInternational Literacy Day is used to celebrate by lots of people on the 8th September to make the people aware of the Literacy in every Country and to make them the Need and Importance for the Literacy. Literacy Rate in every Country is very different and they may be a big or small difference in the literacy rate as compared to every Country. In India, many people are Illiterate and are not having any of the work for their own income or earning. So Literacy Day is used to give every type of knowledge to the people about the Importance of Education for their own earning and to behave in a good manner with the other people.

Education is very necessary to r every people to get all the possible knowledge about every Field by which they can be able to do any type of task for their own betterment. Every people are used to maintain every task properly with lots of knowledge to make their life better. Education makes people grow in life and it has the power to achieve every task properly without any problem. Literate people are used to making many of the better activities for the people by which they can be able to manage many of the things properly.

People are used to getting proper education for their better knowledge to cultivate it into the fulfilment of their dreams in a better way. Every Student requires a proper education to become a better person in life. Every Student is used to create a proper idea to focus on the developmental activities to create better ideas and plans for possible development. People need to create a positive attitude within themselves to focus on developmental activities. Every Student can concentrate on every task to possibly handle and tackle a lot of problems in a better way.

In India most of the people are illiterate and they are not getting any type of Job due to illiteracy. So every people need to get proper Education for their own survival. Today each Company is used to focus on the Education part and they used to take those persons who are well educated with any degree with them. Each Child should get Education from their Childhood as every student must get proper knowledge about the activities the Company requires for their profit to get a Job.

Every Student wants to make a possible goal for their own future to make it successful for their bright future. Students can do every task with accuracy and they are used to manage and handle every task properly. Illiterate people cannot be able to do any of the tasks to complete their dreams without Education. So Education is very important for every person to successfully achieve every task properly for the fulfilment of their dreams.

Celebration of the International Literacy Day  

International Literacy Day is used to celebrate to give the knowledge to every people about the requirement and need for the Literacy I every Country for getting Job. Every people need to know the idea about how education is necessary for every Child by which the Parents can educate their children to make them move ahead in life. Every Child is very precious and they should make every plan to develop many great things for the welfare of the people. It is very important to focus on the positive side of every activity to maintain every activity in a better way.

There are many people in India, who are willing to work for their own Family, but are not able to work in the Company due to their illiteracy problem or not educated. Many Companies think that an illiterate person can be able to manage all the work properly with full confidence and dedication. Every Literate person has every idea to tackle and handle every work with lots of simplicity and has the ability to do any type of work properly. So it is important for every people to first take better education from any School and Colleges to go ahead in life.

The government today has organized many of the camps to make the people get every right way for achieving their goals with every proper education to take by every Child. The government has made many of the Schools and Colleges to make the people educate to give every child proper education for their own benefit in the future.

There are lots of people who are willing to take Education but are not educated due to the problem of money. People need to make every type of activity by which everyone can get proper knowledge for their own future profit and security. Education is like security to every people by which they can get each time to fulfil their dreams in the future.

All people can create a better status within the Society and the Country with the help of Education. Education is a must for every Citizen to get the possible jobs for their security.

One has to become more confident and strong enough to create a lot of possible ideas to develop any goal which can result in many of the targets being fulfilled possibly. It is very important to achieve knowledge from various parts about the various fields to focus on different activities in a different way. To ensure better development in any part of the field, one has to take a lot of knowledge from many Government institutions to fulfil their dreams in a better way.

Every Student can change their behaviour and work according to the requirement for task achievement. The people need to carry proper work for the better situation of the Country. It is not good enough for the Country’s benefit without the proper Education by every Child of the Country. So it is much more important for the people to take proper education from a well Institute or Schools and Colleges.

Themes for the International Literacy Day

Many people are illiterate in many of the Countries by which they are not getting any Jobs. Education is a must for every Citizen in every Country to give them a proper job for their own earning. It is very necessary to make every people take proper education to develop lots of tasks in a proper way.

So the Government has made many of the Themes to aware every people to get proper education for every people to move ahead in life and the Themes are as follows:-

  • The theme for International Literacy Day in the year 2006 was “Development is Sustain with the Literacy to achieve every goal successfully”.  
  • The theme for the International Literacy Day in the year 2007 was “Health as well as Literacy for concentrating on the Epidemics and the Literacy like HIV, Tuberculosis, etc”.
  • The theme of the International Literacy Day in the year 2008 was “Health and the Literacy for Focusing on the Epidemics and the Literacy such as Tuberculosis, Malaria, and HIV, etc”.
  • The theme for the International Literacy Day in the year 2009 was “Empowerment and Literacy for focusing for Empowerment of the Women as well as Equality of the Gender”.
  • The theme for the International Literacy Day in the year 2010 was “Empowerment as well as Literacy for concentrating on the Empowering the Women as well as Equality of the gender”.
  • The theme for the International Literacy Day in the year 2011 was “Peace and the Literacy for concentrating on the Literacy Importance for the peace”.
  • The theme for the International Literacy Day in the year 2012 was “Peace as well as Literacy for Focusing on the Literacy Importance for the peace”.

  1. i am a teacher working in Bhutan.As a literary coordinator to celebrate international literacy day,i every-year conduct 1st -8th of September as a reading week.

    Therefore to encourage and instill reading in habits in students i need some help.

  2. I am the Principal Adult Education Officer in Botswana. Every before the 8 September we mobilise Out of School learners to prepare for the international literacy day commemoration by engaging in activities such as exhibiting their artefact from their Income Generating Projects. Writing of tests and doing the marking so as to check progress of their literacy skills and knowledge. Choir competitions and poetry are also done in order to nature their indigenous skills. This year theme encourages the maturing of the learners skills ” Education and Skills Development “.
