IRMA 2018: Result, Call Letter, Personal Interview & Admission Procedure

IRMA 2018 Final Result & Cut-Off has been declared on 23rd March 2018.  IRMA is an abbreviation for Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). The IRMA admission test is the entrance examination at national level MBA entrance exam which is conducted by the Institute of Rural Management Anand. It is an institute level examination since it is conducted by Institute of Rural Management Anand.

IRMA 2018 will be the Qualification Exam for students to get admission to the private dental and Managment colleges of India where the IRMA score is valid. IRMA 2018 is a national admission exam for Management Admission. It is a multiple choice objective type test.

The examination is conducted once a year, in winter period generally in October. IRMA 2018 contains approximately 40 questions of objective questions. The total exam time is 80 minutes.

IRMA Result 2018


The result of IRMA 2018 will be announced on IRMA’s official website. Result will be announced on 15th March(for Indian nationals) and 1st May (for foreign nationals). Candidates who will be qualified for the entrance exam will be called for other cycles of the selection process, namely entrance exam only.

The result will be provided to students from 15th March(for Indian nationals) and 1st May (for foreign nationals). Students can check the result via online mode through the website. The IRMA score will be valid for the admission to the academic year of 2018-2019. Students are advised to take the printout of the IRMA result and keep it safe till the admission process gets finished.

Participants can check their results on the official IRMA link of IRMA website. To access them, you must enter Login ID and Password in the required space. The link to verify the result will also be provided on this page. It is on the basis of the IRMA merit list that the candidates are likely to be shortlisted and called in for further admission process.

IRMA 2018 Application Form 2018


IRMA 2018 will be held once. The best of the two IRMA scores will be considered. Applicants wishing to appear IRMA must apply before registration is over. The exam registration process began in the first week of  October. Although the IRMA 2018 online registration will start from the 12th October 2017.

IRMA Registration 2018


  • The IRMA Registration 2018 can be done via online and offline modes.
  • The application form has been released on 12th October 2017.
  • The offline application can be obtained by the Admissions Office, IRMA, Anand – 388 001 with the payment of required fee through DD.
  • Make the application fee payment through online or offline mode.
  • The last date to submit the application will be 20th January 2018 (for Indian nationals) and 31st March (for foreign nationals & NRI).
  • Candidates applying through offline mode are required to send the application form along with requiring documents to the authority address.

The IRMA 2018 application is a three-step process.

IRMA Eligibility Criteria 2018


The eligibility criteria of IRMA 2018 is to be fulfilled by all the candidates who aim to pursue Managment from IRMA. The candidates must fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria for IRMA 2018. The criteria for eligibility are as below:

For PGDRM:

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognized university.
  • Percentage: Students must have secured at least 50% marks for general and 45% for SC,ST & DAP.
  • Exam: Candidates must have qualified CAT 2018 or XAT 2018.

For FPRM:

  • Qualification: PGDRM from IRMA/ post graduation in any stream/ five or four-year professional degree courses like engineering, agricultural science, etc.
  • Percentage: PG candidates must have obtained 55% (at PG level) and 50% (at graduation level).
  • Exam: Candidates should t have qualified CAT 2018 or XAT 2018.

Exam Pattern 2018


  • Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted through online mode.
  • No. & Type of Question: Total 40 objective type questions will be asked.
  • Duration: Total exam duration will be 80 minutes.
  • Language: Question Paper will be asked in the English language.
  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be given for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Total number of questions – 40

IRMA Marking Scheme


As per the IRMA exam pattern 2018, one mark will be awarded to candidates for every correct answer. There will be negative marking too. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted from candidate’s score. Therefore, candidates are advised to refrain from guesswork while answering the questions.

IRMA 2018 Admit Card


The IRMA 2018 Admit Card is available via online mode through the website. It has been released on 29th January 2018

The IRMA 2018 admission card will be available online. Applicants who have registered at IRMA 2018 will receive the IRMA admission card.Examiners can download the IRMA 2018 admission card by entering their ID and password.Candidates must present proof of identification with their IRMA 2018 admission card to the examination center.

IRMA hall ticket 2018 will be released via online mode. Students name, photograph, signature, roll number, test centre, exam date & timing will be mentioned in the admit card. The admit card will also be sent to the candidates by the authority to the registered Email ID. Without valid admit card, students will not be permitted to sit in the examination.

The authority will send the IRMA 2018 admission card to the candidate’s ID. In addition, the admission card will also be downloaded from the IRMA website. Applicants must bring the printout of the admission card with a photo ID card to the exam room.

The candidates will have to carry the admit card on the exam day, else they will not be allowed to take the exam. Even after the examination, the candidates will need to admit card so it should be kept properly even after the exam.

IRMA Counselling 2018


The admission of IRMA will be purely based on the candidate’s qualifications in the IRMA entrance exam.

There will be open counselling conducted for the qualified candidates for IRMA qualified candidates. The candidates are required to attend the counselling in person for document verification and seat allotment. The candidates are not allowed to attend the counselling with the valid rank card. The candidate’s can check the counsellimg information through the official website of the association.

Applicants may appear on boards organized by various institutions and universities on the basis of the IRMA score. Applicants must bring the required documents and fees at the time of counseling. Seats will be provided to students based on IRMA scores, completed selections and seat availability.

The candidates are not allowed to attend the counselling with the valid rank card. The candidates can check the counselling information through the official website of the association. Then the preferred participating Institute will proceed with the selection procedure of IRMA which comprises three main steps:

  • Group Discussion (GD)
  • Written Ability Test (WAT)
  • Personal Interview (PI)

The Group Discussion or Personal Interview will be conducted in the first to third week of March 2018.

  • Group Discussion (GD)- Candidates who make it into the merit list of each participating institute will be further called in for the GD round.
  • Personal Interview (PI) or Written Ability Test (WAT) – After the GD is conducted, once again candidates will be shortlisted for the PI or WAT round.
  • Final Selection- After the above rounds are complete, each institute will release the final list of selected candidates for admission to MBA and PGDM programme across participating institutes in India.
