ISIISI Admission 2020 3rd Round Online Seat Acceptance has been started on 25th November 2020. Merit List has been released.  Admission Procedure Notice has been Released. The Decision NOT TO CONDUCT INTERVIEWS as a part of the Selection Process for Admission to All UG & PG Academic Programme  (that is, Including JRF Programmes). Indian Statistical Institute (ISI 2020) will administer the national level entrance exam. Aspirants will be focused for admission to the programs including B. Stat (Hons.), B. Math (Hons.), M. Stat, M.Math, MS (QE), MS (QMS), MS (LIS), M.Tech (CS), M.Tech (CRS), M.Tech (QROR), PG Diplomas and Research Fellowships.

The main objective would be to provide a common yardstick to analyze the potentials of applicants coming from different backgrounds. Admission will be offered in the B.Math (Hons.), B.Stat (Hons.), M.StatM.Math, MS (QE), MS (QMS), M.Tech, and other programs.

Candidates are required to qualify the entrance test to get admission to various campuses located in Delhi, Tezpur, Chennai, and Bengaluru. Students can also apply for admission to M.Tech through GATE Scores. They need to fill the Application Form as being a requirement for admission. ISI Application Form 2020

The ISI 2020 Application Form has been accepted from the eligible candidates through online mode. Applicants are recommended to fill the ISI Application Form 2020 to be eligible for admission in to. The Application Form can only be filled by those who are eligible for admission.

  • The Online Application Re-Open has appeared on the website from 20th July 2020.
  • The end date to complete the Application Form and Deposit the fee Submitted till 25th July 2020.
  • Attach the photograph, scanned copy of the signature, and the documents bearing upon application.
  • Applicants will be able to present the application fee after two days of application.

Application Fee:

  • An application fee of Rs.1250/- for applicants belonging to the General category is required to be paid along with the application which can be processed online.
  • The application fee is waived for reserved (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PWD) Rs.625/-as per the program.
  • The fee will be submitted via SBI payment. It can also be paid by the bank Challan of SBI.

ISI Admission 2021

The ISI Admission Test 2021 is conducted by Indian Statistical Institute to provide admission to the candidates in. Stat (Hons.), B.Math (Hons.), M.Stat, M.Math, MS (QE), MS (QMS), MS (LIS), M.Tech (CS), M.Tech (CRS), M.Tech (QROR), PG Diplomas, and Research Fellowships programs in its all campuses situated in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Tezpur. The ISI Admission Test 2021 Application Form will be started from 1st week of January till the 2nd week of March.

ISI 2020 Eligibility Criteria 

Before filling the Application Form, you need to requirements in the field.

Nationality: This exam can be attempted by both from India and Overseas.

Appearing Candidates:  The aspirants will need to attain their required age for admission before 1 July 2020.

For B. Stat (Hons) / B. Math (Hons.):

  • Educational Qualification: Candidate must have completed his/her 12th level from a recognized board/university.
  • Qualifying Subjects: Candidate must have passed the 12th level with Mathematics and English subjects.
  • Appearing: Students appearing in their 12th level can also apply.
Courses Qualifying Exams
3 years of Statistics (Hons.) 10+2 or it’s equivalent with English and Mathematics subjects.
Two years of Master of Statistics Three year Bachelor’s degree or BE/B.Tech degree with statistics subject.

B. Math. Degree from ISI or PG Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics from ISI.

M.Tech (CS) Master degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/IT/ Physics/Computer Science/Computer Applications/ Electronic Science or BE / B.Tech or its equivalent.
M.Tech (QROR) Master’s degree in Statistics/Master’s degree in Mathematics with Probability and Statistics/ BE/B.Tech or equivalent.

Must obtain marks in Chemistry & Physics at 12th/ Mathematics at graduation level.

MS (QE) Three years Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics & Physics/B.Stat from ISI/ B.E or B.Tech.
MS (QMS) Three years Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics/B.E or B.Tech.

ISI Exam Pattern 2020

The Examination will be held on 20th September 2020. The aspirants must check the exam scheme for ISI 2020 Exam. The pattern will be based on the discretion of officials setting the exam paper.

Mode: This exam is held offline.

Types of Questions: The exam will be of the objective in nature.

Duration of Exam: The exam will consist of 4 hours. 2 hours for the forenoon exam and 2 hours for an afternoon exam.

Marking Scheme: The marking will be such that, you will get different scores for a different course.

  • Exam Mode: ISI 2020 Entrance exam will be conducted through offline mode.
  • Question Type: Questions in the test will be of a multiple-choice type and descriptive type. The questions will vary for various courses.
  • Sections: The question paper will be divided into two sections – A and B.
  • Total Time: Two hours will be given for each section.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of a total of 100 marks.
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

ISI 2020 Syllabus 

The structure of the syllabus will be as per the course. ISI syllabus will be designed by the ISI authority. The questions will be on the undergraduate or 10+2 level. For B.Stat & B.Math, the syllabus will indicate the topics algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus & Geometry.

ISI 2020 Syllabus will vary as per the courses are chosen by the candidates. The entrance exam for graduation courses will consist of questions from the 12th level. For post-graduate courses, the test will consist of questions from the syllabus of graduation level.

For B.Stat / B.Math course, the syllabus will contain various topics from the subject of Mathematics – Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry & Geometry.

For the M.Stat course, the syllabus will contain various topics from the subjects of Mathematics and Statistics.

ISI 2020 Preparation Tips

Candidates can prepare for the test by following the below preparation tips:

  • Candidates are advised to prepare as per the syllabus and make short notes of formulas and important points for quick revision.
  • Candidates can go through the previous year question papers available online for the preparation.
  • Candidates can purchase a test series and give a test at least every week to judge their performance for the upcoming examination.
  • Candidates are advised to revise daily. They can revise in the evening whatever they learn during day time.
  • Candidates are advised to keep practicing tough topics to get good command in them.

ISI 2020 Admit Card

Once the release date of the Admit Card is brought upon by officials. It will be available via a link present on the website for a limited period. ISI 2020 Admit Card will be available on the website for downloading from 1st September 2020.

Candidates can download their Admit Card by filling their user name and password. The Admit Card will contain information regarding the exam venue, date, time, candidate’s photograph, and signature with a set of instructions for the exam.

Aspirants should note that the ISI 2020 Admit Card will be released online and no hard copy will be sent to any aspirant. So, students must rush to download it for appearing in the exam. The ISI Admit Card has been released on 1st September 2020.

After the applications, aspirants will access the Admit Card after entering Registration Number and Password.

ISI 2020 Answer Key

ISI 2020 Answer Key has been released after the successful completion of the examination. The answer key can be accessed by the candidates through online mode. Candidates can view their answer key filling their user name and password after clicking on the link provided for download.

ISI Result 2020

The Result will appear in October 2020. ISI Result can be viewed online giving their roll no, and date of birth appeared at the time of the application process.

The scorecard can be viewed after submitting your details such as roll and password. After downloading, the scorecard will appear as a result on the website which will show the marks you might score in the exam.

If the marks in the scorecard are equal to or more than the cut-off decided by the institute, then the candidate will be shortlisted for the admission round. The selection of candidates would be based on the cut off which will be released individually by the institute.

ISI 2020 Interview – Cancelled

The Decision NOT TO CONDUCT INTERVIEWS as a part of the Selection Process for Admission to All UG & PG Academic Programme  (that is, Including JRF Programmes). ISI 2020 Interview will be organized for candidates shortlisted in the merit list released online. In the interview, the questions will be asked from the relevant syllabus, and some personal questions will be asked. A panel will interview the candidates.

The ISI scores are considered for the selection of students. The selected students will need to clear written tests and interviews organized by the Institution. They will be determined to Take Part in the admission process as per merit rank in the merit list for counseling.

  • For counseling, you will need to register at the registration and pay the fee. After the counseling registration, it will require to fill the options as per choice.
  • The final admission will be based on the minimum academic qualification and the authentication of the documents.
  • They need to attend the seat distribution at a definite time. After getting a seat, they can successfully find admission in the course preferred at the time of choice filling
  • Those from North-East states of India. We will be able to find 50% of the seats in the course.

If any candidate is found failed during the program or at any disciplinary ground, they will not be eligible for the same course again. The decision of the institute in all matters related to admission will be final. The Institute for the reserved category will follow the reservation system.

    It’s really disappointing that the exam dates of ISI and JENPAUH are classing. Both the exams shouldn’t be at the same date.
