JEECUP 2018: Counselling Schedule, Choice Filling & Admission Process

JEECUP 2018 Spot Counselling is starting from 18th July 2018.  JEECUP stands for Joint Entrance Examination Council of UP. JEECUP examination will be conducted by Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE). JEECUP is a state level polytechnic examination which is also called UPJEE (Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination).

Through this exams admission into various institution and college of Uttar Pradesh is possible. UPJEE examination is conducted every year, the candidate can take admission into Polytechnic Institutions in Diploma, Post Diploma & PG Diploma Programmes in Engineering, Technology & Management Fields, Pharmacy, and many other diploma courses.

JEECUP is also known as UPJEE-Polytechnic which is a state level entrance exam. In this article, candidates can complete details of JEECUP 2018 Counselling along with some other necessary details.

JEECUP (UP Polytechnic) Counselling 2018


JEECUP 2018 Counselling may be starting from 8th June 2018. In the month of May or June counseling will be conducted. Candidate can participate in counseling according to g to score marks in entrance examination. Counseling is also organized in online mode. A candidate has to fill al detail like name address college and courses perceive etc.

The seat will be allotted to the candidate as per the choice filled by students rank and availability of seats in the respective college. Or according to merit list prepared candidate will be invited to counseling. The candidate has to bring original documents with their photocopies for registration and verification.

A candidate who is interested attaining in counseling is required to bring given document.

Documents Required for Counselling/Admission: 


  • UP Polytechnic 2018 admit card & result.
  • 10thclass mark sheet & passing certificate.
  • 12thclass mark sheet & passing certificate.
  • Character certificate.
  • Category certificate (if applicable).
  • Transfer certificate.
  • Passport size photographs.

JEECUP Answer Key


The answer key has been Released Now. Candidate can check out JEECUP answer key on official portal through online. By entering “Roll Number” & “Question Booklet Number” candidate can see the answer key.

Candidate will get a rough idea about their marks and can compare with their final results. A candidate who wants to cross-check their answer can check with the help of answer key and estimate their score in the entrance test announced by the authority.

JEECUP Admit Card


The JEECUP Admit card will be released on 16th April 2018. The candidate is requested to bring admit card/hall ticket with them in the examination hall. If a candidate misses placed or didn’t bring hall ticket in examination center candidate will be not allowed to attain exam. It is candidate responsibility to keep safe their hall ticket until the end of exams.

Hall ticket contains candidate-related information such as candidate Roll No., Name, Address, Centre and ID proof. The candidate is advised to keep one print copy with them so if in future it misses placed you can use the copy of hall ticket.


JEECUP Application Form

From 21st December 2017, the application form will be available for a candidate.The last date to fill and submit the application form will be 13h March 2018. Candidate can fill the application form through online mode only.

The candidate has to fill in application detail like Personal Details, Academic Details, Communication Details and Scanned Images of Requirement Documents along with the proof of fee submitted in the application form.

Candidate must keep a print copy with them for future reference and verification. If a candidate wants to do any correction in the application, it will be started from13th March.


Below few information of application form is mentioned:

  • The UP-Polytechnic Application Form 2018 will be released via online mode through the website.
  • Enter all the required details like personal, qualification, etc.
  • Candidates can fill the application form through online mode only. It cannot be accessed through any other mode.
  • Application form can be started to fill from the 21st December 2017.
  • The last date to fill and submit the application form will be 13th March 2018 (extended).
  • Candidates have to submit only one application for per candidate, multiple application forms will lead to rejection.
  • Upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, and thumb impression in the application.
  • Pay the required application fee via online or offline mode.
  • Candidates don’t forget to take a printout of the application form for further use.

Application Fee:

Paying application fees is possible in online as well as offline mode. A candidate who belongs to GEN/OBC category have to pay 300 and SC/ST category has to pay 200 for the application. A candidate who wants to pay by the online process can pay by net banking/ credit/debit card & through e-Challan.The candidate is requested to fill and submit an application before the due date.

  • The application fee will be 300/- for general and OBC candidates.
  • SC and ST candidates have to pay Rs. 200/- as application fees.
  • The application fee payment can be made via debit/credit card, net banking or e-challan of SBI bank.

 


JEECUP Eligibility Criteria

Candidate Eligibility criteria of JEECUP according to group-wise given in the schedule. Most of the time candidate fail to know eligibility criteria of JEECUP, which harms them getting into JEECUP. Hence, the candidate is requested to take a look at eligibility criteria.

JEECUP eligibility for various groups is mentioned below.


Common:

  • There is no upper age limit.
  • The minimum age should be 14 years old as on 1st July.
  • Appearing candidates can also apply except E.

Eligibility Criteria

Here we are providing the eligibility criteria for various polytechnic courses:

Course Eligibility
Engineering & Technology Diploma Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10th or equivalent exam.Percentage: Minimum 35% marks.
Agriculture Engineering Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10th with agriculture or 12thwith agriculture.
Percentage: Minimum 35% marks.
Diploma in Pharmacy Qualification: 10+2 examination passed with Physics & Chemistry along with Mathematics/Biology.
Post Graduate Diploma course Qualification: Graduate or appearing in the final year from any discipline.
Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Qualification: Passed or appearing in 12th exam.
Percentage: Minimum 50% marks in PCM subjects.

JEECUP Exam Pattern 2018


The candidate is kindly requested to go through the exams pattern and syllabus before preparing for exams. Exam mode will be conducted through blue/black ball pen and paper base mode.

Candidate will be given 3 hours to complete their paper no extra time will be given to the candidate in the examination hall. Exams will be conducted into two sessions 1st session timing will be 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2nd session timings will be 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

The question paper will be asked in two language English and Hindi language. For each correct answer, the candidate will be given 4 marks. For each wrong answer given by candidate in exams, one marks will be deducted.

JEECUP exam pattern is given below: 

  • Level: State Level Polytechnic Entrance Test.
  • Courses: Polytechnic Courses.
  • Mode of Exam: UPJEE 2017 entrance exam was organized in Offline (Pen & Paper Based Examination) mode only.
  • of Questions:100 objective type questions were asked in the question paper.
  • Language: The medium of the question paper was English & Hindi.
  • Duration: The time duration of the entrance exam was 3 hours.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct response, 4 marks was allotted.
  • Negative Marking: For an incorrect response, 1 mark was deducted.
  • Syllabus: From the board of qualifying exam.

 

JEECUP Result 2018


JEECUP result will be announced by authority on 28th May 2018. candidate can download their result along with answer key in the official portal. The candidate has to enter their roll no and check their result if you type wrong no. in portal it will show error.

Rank cards or scorecard will not be sent by post through authority. Candidate can take a printout, screenshot or can save in phone/laptop of their result for further admission procedure.

JEECUP Cut-Off Marks

 

JEECUP cut off marks will; be released in online mode only. Cut off marks will be declared after the exams are over. Every college has different fix cut-off marks. The candidate has to obtain minimum marks to proceed to the further round of admission procedure.

A difficult level of examination number of candidates appeared, total candidates qualify the exam, etc according to that cut off marks will be set. Before the result announced, cut off marks will help the candidate to estimate their marks.

JEECUP UP Polytechnic Syllabus

Syllabus related information about topics and chapter that come in the examination is very important. Candidate wants to score good exam, it is necessary to cover every syllabus without skipping any single topics. In the exam, the question paper will come from subject Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

In the examination, the question will be asked from 10th /11th/ 12th standard. Weightage subject is Mathematics so try to improve and focus on it. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects more question will be asked to engineering & technology diploma.Syllabus for candidate selected diploma in the pharmacy will be asked a question from Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics subjects.

Group ‘A’ Syllabus:

It includes the UP board 10th syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

Group ‘B’ Syllabus:

For this, the syllabus will consist of two sections, the first section is of Mathematics while another section is of Physics or Chemistry or Agriculture.

Group ‘C’ Syllabus:

The group C syllabus will consist of three sections: Hindi and English Comprehension, Reasoning and Intelligence & General Awareness. Besides this, it also includes the questions from the 10th class.

Group ‘D’ Syllabus:

It includes the 12th class syllabus and will consist of the four sections named as Hindi and English Comprehension, Reasoning and Intelligence, Numerical Ability and General Awareness.

Group ‘E’ Syllabus:

Those applying for this group have to do the preparation from the 10+2 syllabus. Also, Group ‘E’ syllabus includes the two sections of Physics and Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics.

Group ‘F’ Syllabus:

The syllabus for this group will consist of B.Sc. academics. It includes the sections like Physics, Biology, and Botany.

Group ‘G’ Syllabus:

It has the same syllabus you have studied in your graduation and includes the sections of English Comprehension, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, General Intelligence and General Awareness.

Group ‘H’ Syllabus:

For this group, the syllabus is divided into five sections that are Reasoning and Logical Discussion, Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude, English and General Knowledge. Intermediate level questions will also be asked.

Group ‘I’ Syllabus:

It includes the 10+2 UP board syllabus. Also, includes the two sections namely Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

Group ‘J’ Syllabus:

The syllabus for this group includes the diploma academics and includes five sections i.e., English Comprehension, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, General Intelligence and General Awareness.

Group ‘K’ Syllabus:

The aspirants can prepare for this group from their 10th and 12th class syllabus. The syllabus is broadly divided into two sections; the first section is of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics while another section is of Engineering.

  • Before starting preparation, you should analyze the syllabus prescribed for the examination.
  • Prepare a good timetable as per your daily schedule and include all the topics of the syllabus in your preparations.
  • Refer the best preparation books and other study materials available in the market or on the internet.
  • Practice from previous year question papers and sample papers to know more about the exam pattern.
