JEXPO 2018 Special Manual Counselling has been started now. West Bengal State Council of Technical Education organized Jexpo (WB) Polytechnic exams. Jexpo Polytechnic is also referred as WB Polytechnic. Jexpo (WB) Polytechnic is a  state level polytechnic entrance exam.

This gives an opportunity to a candidate to take admission into the various polytechnic course like different colleges and institutions of the West Bengal state. And many governments sponsored and self-financed polytechnic colleges in West Bengal consider the JEXPO exam for providing admission.

JEXPO Counselling

Students can appear in the WB Polytechnic Counselling 2018 from 14th June 2018. JEXPO admission process will be started after the result announced to the candidate. On the bases of cut-off marks, the candidate will be given admission. Merit list will be prepared according to candidates score marks in the examination. In those stations, the deserving candidate will be offered admission.

Candidates who are interested in attaining counseling can download the letter of counseling from the official portal of conducting authority. Candidates have to submit all required documentation for registration and verification. If the candidate submits the incorrect document and found in scrutiny candidates admission will be canceled.

  • 10th class Marksheet & Passing Certificate
  • JEXPO Admit Card
  • Caste Certificate
  • Physically Challenged (Handicapped) Certificate
  • Allotment Letter

JEXPO 2018 Result

.  The West Bengal Polytechnic Result will be declared on 1st June 2018.  JEXPO scorecard will be available via online through official portal of authority. Through login, window candidate can view their scorecard.

To see result candidate have to type Roll number and birth of date in official portal if, in case of candidate type wrong detail website will show error.

For correct page, the candidate has to write the correct detail of candidates. Candidate can save the page in laptop/computer or can take a screenshot in the phone. Candidates are advised to keep printed copies of result for further use and admission process.


  • The JEXPO Result will be declared in the second week of June.
  • Students may check the result through the website.
  • Students are needed to enter the following details Candidate ID, Password & Security Code to check the result.
  • Take some extra printouts of the result for further use.
  • A merit list will be prepared as per the marks obtained in the examination.
  • JEXPO Rank List will be prepared separately for various categories.


JEXPO 2018 Admit card 

The WB Polytechnic Admit Card 2018 will be released on 30th April 2018.Candidate can download admit card/hall ticket through online, official portal of conducting authority. Candidates who successfully submitted the application can only download their hall ticket from the entrance. From 1st week of April, candidates can download their hall tickets. Hall ticket is a mandatory document it contains candidate-related detail such candidates name, center, roll number, center, address, the birth of date, etc.

It is candidate responsibility to keep save their hall ticket till the completion of exams. Candidate will not be allowed to sit in the examination hall without the JEXPO Admit Card and a valid photo identity proof. The candidate is advised to keep printed copies of hall ticket for further use.

  • Candidates who have successfully registered for the exam will be able to get the JEXPO hall ticket.
  • Students can get the JEXPO admit card via online mode through the website.
  • The admit card will not be sent by post.
  • Candidates are not allowed to appear in the examination without producing a valid admit card.
  • JEXPO Admit card will contain details like roll number, exam center, exam date, time, etc.

JEXPO 2018 Application Form

Candidate must know How to fill when to fill, all detail related to filling an application form. JEXPO application form is available in offline as well as online mode. The application is available from last week of January. After submitting the filled application form, a candidate must keep one printed copies with them for further use.

 A candidate who filled application form offline has to submit their application to given below centers. OMR application along with Information Brochure is available with all government in India. Government Sponsored and Self-financed Polytechnics affiliated to the WBSCT & VE & SD (erstwhile WBSCTE), Government ITI s including PTP run Private and Government ITIs in West Bengal and one center in Tripura.

Some detail is provided to candidate related to an application:

  • The JEXPO 2018 Application Form is available via online and offline mode.
  • The OMR application form along with information bulletin is available at all government, government-sponsored & self-financed polytechnics affiliated to WBSCT&VE&SD [Erstwhile WBSCTE] in West Bengal and one Centre in Tripura (for JEXPO only).
  • The application is releasing from 29th January to 20th March 2018.
  • Fill all the necessary details like personal, qualification and many others in the WB Polytechnic Application Form.
  • Candidates also have to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature & LTI.
  • Candidates also have to upload the scanned images of photograph and signature.
  • After filling the application form, take the printout of it.
  • Attach all the required documents with the application form.
  • Submit the completed application form to the designated polytechnic centers along with the required fees.

Application Fee: 

Application fees can be paid by online and offline. A candidate who has filled application through online have to pay Rs. 450/- for the use. And those candidates have filled application through offline have to pay Rs. 500/- for an application.

Below is given detail of application fees of JEXPO (WB Polytechnic):

  • The online application fee will be  450/-(Rs. 225/- for Kanyashree Enrollees).
  • The offline application fee will be  500/-(Rs. 250/- for Kanyashree Enrollees).
  • The application fee shall be submitted via online mode at the time of submitting the application at the designated center.


JEXPO Eligibility Criteria 

Before applies for admission look out eligibility criteria of JEXPO (WB) Polytechnic. Candidate must know full eligibility criteria because sometime candidate fails to know which harm them at the time of taking admission.

Candidate should know basic information about the candidate should be the Indian citizen; a candidate must be passed the 10th examination from English, Physical Science/Science and Mathematics from any recognized board, etc. more eligibility criteria are provided below in detail.

Before filling the application form, candidates must check the eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must be the citizen of India.
  • Students must have passed 10th or its equivalent examination with English, Physical Science/Science, and Mathematics from any recognized board.
  • Candidates should have obtained minimum 35% aggregate in the qualifying exam (without additional subjects).
  • Appearing candidates can also apply.
  • No upper age limit, but candidate’s date of birth should not be after 1st July 2002.


JEXPO Exam Pattern

The examination will be held on 20th May 2018.Candidate can check Exam pattern of JEXPO (WB) Polytechnic. Candidate will be given 2 hours to complete their exam paper. Objective type question will be asked to the candidate in an exam paper. The question paper will be divided into two subjects, the 1st article will be of Mathematics, and 2nd paper will be of Physics and Chemistry subject.

In an examination, the question paper will consist of 200 questions. 100 from Mat6hematics and 50 from Physics and Chemistry. Below is given some detail and for the proper information, the table is prepared for subject and marks.The examination will be held on 20th May 2018.


    • Type of Question: The question paper will contain objective type questions.
    • Duration: The exam duration will be two hours.
  • Papers: The paper consists of two sections, i.e., Paper 1 – Mathematics and Paper 2 – Physics and Chemistry.
  • No. of Question: The question paper comprised of total 200 questions.

Total 100 questions were asked from Mathematics.

50 questions were asked from Physics and Chemistry each.

JEXPO Answer Key

An answer key is released by West Bengal State Council for Technical Education  The answer key of JEXPO exams will be released after the result announcement is done.  In huge amount, candidates attained the JEXPO exams. An answer key is issued for candidates appear for the WB Polytechnic Exam.

Candidate can estimate marks and roughly check question answer written in the examination. This will help the candidate to roughly check their marks/score of Entrance exams. This will help candidates to prepare for further admission process/ steps.

  5. Select your paper code as Set A, Set B, Set C and Set D.
  6. Cross Check JEXPO Exam Answer and get the idea of Cut off.


JEXPO 2018 Cut-Off

JEXPO Based on the Cut off Marks/Qualify Marks only the officials will give the rank to the candidates ’.The candidate who has attended the WB JEXPO exam to get the rank card it is necessary to score minimum qualifying marks.

Candidate score above cut-off marks will get admission in college. The different college has different cut off marks. Every college change cut off marks according to the candidate appearing marking scheme, the number of seats and difficulty level of the entrance exams.

Cut-off will be determined after the declaration of results. Exam Committee considers various factors for calculating the cut-off marks like difficulty level of question paper, the number of candidates attempted the exam and previous years cut-off trends.

Through cut-off marks, the candidate can roughly check that they are eligible to apply or not. This will help the candidate to select their favorite college according to score marks in entrance exams.

Candidate should know the previous and present year cut off marks of CLAT. This will help candidates to select Favorite College according to score marks in the examination.
