The Union Health Minister of India has announced from this year 2020 MBBS Admission will be done through NEET 2020. The JIPMER MBBS 2020 is undertaken every year under the dominance of the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research. The entrance scores will be required to get admission in respective programs. The application form will be issued online at the official website. Through this entrance exam, admission is offered in nearly 200 MBBS seats.

JIPMER 2020 Application Form

The JIPMER 2020 Application form is provided online at the official website on March 2020.

  • The application process is done by those satisfying the eligibility parameters will be able to fill the JIPMER 2020 application form.
  • The Online registration process of JIPMER 2020 will start from the first week of March 2020.
  • Before filling the application form, candidates must go through the complete eligibility criterion.
  • Candidates have to keep certain details and documents ready before filling the application form like personal and academic details, scanned passport size photograph and signature, valid mobile number and email id, etc.
  • Aspirants should go through application details at the website. They should fix applicable and valid scanned photograph and signature with the application form.
  • Make sure that the documents provided by you are correct and relate to your nature. Otherwise, the submitted certificates and documents will not be accepted.
  • Provide each data in a precise way. There must not be a slight indication of an error in the details submitted.
  • You must keep the hard copy of the application form after getting done with details submission.

Application Fee

The Fee Payment is done with net banking, debit, credit card.

  • The application fee will be RS.1000 for those belonging to general categories.
  • The application fee will be Rs.800 for those belonging to reserved categories.
  • Fee once paid will not be refunded.
  • Mode of Payment: Candidates can submit the application fee through debit/credit card or net banking method.

JIPMER 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • Aspirants opting for JIPMER 2020 should be an Indian National.
  • The age criteria are followed in this exam. Those applying for JIPMER must be attaining 17 years on 31st December 2020
  • Aspirants must be qualifying their 12th or another corresponding exam in an established university with a minimum of 50% marks in participating in the exam.
  • Though, aspirants under reserved category will need to obtain 40% marks.
  • Students must have completed their exam in the subjects- Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology.


  • Applying candidates must be an Indian citizen.
  • Overseas Citizens can also apply provided they have to submit proof of registration as OCI under the Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955.
  • Foreign National candidates have to take permission from the Medical Council of India before applying.

Qualification Criteria:

  • Qualifying Examination: Applying candidate must have passed his/her 10+2 level exams or its equivalent from a recognized board or university.
  • Qualifying Subjects: Candidates must have passed his/her qualifying exam with the subjects of Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, and Chemistry including English as an elective subject.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam with a minimum of 50% marks (For UR/General candidates) taken together in all subjects. For ST/SC/OBC and another reserved category, the qualifying marks are 40% together in all matters. For OPH-General candidates, the qualifying marks are 45%.
  • Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing for their 12th level exams are also eligible to apply.

Age Criteria:

  • Applying candidates must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission. No upper age limit is prescribed.
  • There is no age relaxation for candidates of reserved categories.

JIPMER 2020 Exam Pattern

  • The JIPMER 2020 entrance exam will be organized online, or it will be computer-based.
  • The paper will be distributed in two languages English and Hindi.
  • The question paper will be appeared in objective type with four options to be selected.
  • The question paper will bear 200 questions.
  • The Negative marking is not appropriate for this exam.

JIPMER 2020 Syllabus

  • The syllabus will be designed on the pattern of the qualifying exam.
  • The question will be originated from 12th examination with subjects- Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, English Comprehension, and Logical Reasoning.

JIPMER 2020 Admit Card

Aspirants can get the admit card from the website of the JIPMER. The admit card will be available in May 2020.

  • The authority will not provide the admit card to students with post or mail.
  • Admit card is an important document that is useful for participating in the exam.
  • The authority will not be authorized to permit students to take the exam.
  • They must also bring other id proofs such as pan card, Aadhar card and many more.
  • Applicants who have filled the application form will be able to download it online.
  • Admit card of JIPMER will be released in the 3rd week of May 2020.

Selected students will be the ones to be participating in the JIPMER 2020 counseling through the merit list.

  • The counseling will be organized possibly in June 2020.
  • With the scores in written exams, vacant seats, and document verification, the selection will be processed.
  • The enrolled students will require taking part in counseling with obligatory documents.
  • The counseling will consist of 4 rounds.
