The JIPMER Nursing 2021 Exam is organized by the JIPMER authority to provide admission to the applicants in various nursing courses such as B.SC, M.Sc nursing, and B.Sc post-basic nursing diploma courses in JIPMER campuses. JIPMER Nursing 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Important information regarding the eligibility criteria for the entrance examination is listed below:

  • The applicant appearing for the entrance exam should belong to India.
  • An applicant who is above the age of 17 years is eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
  • The applicant should have completed HSC from a known university.
  • Applicants should have physics, chemistry, biology (botany and zoology) with English as a compulsory subject in the HSC examination.
  • An applicant from a general category should have a score minimum of 50% in physic, chemistry, and biology in the HSC examinations.
  • Reserve category applicant (SC / ST / OBC) should have scored a minimum of 40% in the HSC examination.
  • OPH category applicant should have scored a minimum of 45% in the HSC examination.
  • An applicant who is in the process of the final exam is also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

B.Sc Nursing

  • Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • Age: Candidates must have a minimum of 17 years of age as on 31st December 2020.
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass the 12th standard or equivalent exam from a recognized board/university.
  • Minimum Marks: If candidates belong to the UR category, they must have a minimum of 50% marks. For the reserved category candidates, a minimum of 40% marks are required, and for the OPH category, 45% marks are required.
  • Subject Required: Candidate must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in the 12th standard.

M.Sc Nursing

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass the B.Sc/PB. B.Sc/PC B.Sc Nursing degree from a recognized institute or university.
  • Candidate must be registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing.
  • Work Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of one year of work experience prior or after B. Sc Nursing.
  • Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit.

JIPMER Nursing 2020 Exam Pattern

The important information related to the paper pattern is mentioned below:

  • The entrance exam will be conducted online.
  • Objective type questions (MCQ) will be asked in the question paper.
  • The question paper will contain maximum of 100 questions.
  • The paper will be set in the English language only.
  • Applicants will get one and a half hours to solve the entire paper.
  • No extra time will be given to the applicants for solving the paper.
  • Each correct answer will be awarded as one mark.
  • The incorrect answer won’t be having any negative markings.
  • There is a total of five subjects included in the entrance exam.

JIPMER Nursing 2020 Counselling

The important information related to the counseling process is mentioned below:

  • By rank scored in the entrance exam, authorities will release a merit list of shortlisted applicants.
  • Those applicants need to appear for the counseling process held in July.
  • Once the selection is made, applicants are requested to be present at the allotted college for the completion of the other admission formalities.

The counseling procedure will be completed in the four rounds. 1st Round Counseling will be started on 20th October 2020. The second round of counseling will be organized in October 2020, the third round will be organized in November 2020, and the final round will be conducted in November 2020. Candidates are advised to be aware of the schedule of counseling. If any candidate didn’t get called for the first round of advice, then such candidates may get the call for the further series of counseling.

JIPMER Nursing 2020 Admission Procedure will be closed in the last week of November 2020. Candidates have to take admission before the last date of admission.
