JKCET Admit Card

Candidates are able to get their admit card in the month of April 2018. From the official portal, candidates can download admit card/hall ticket. After download hall ticket candidates have to paste attested photo on the admit card at the space earmarked for it.

Admit card/hall ticket is a mandatory document candidate have to keep safe until the completion of exams. Authority will not send admit card to any candidates’ residential address by via post etc. Without valid admit cards candidates cannot allow writing paper in the examination hall.

Below is given detail of JKCET admit card:

  • Candidates are able to get their admit card on 11th April 2018.
  • The JKCET 2018 admit card has been released through online mode from our website.
  • The admit card contains the exam & candidate details such as venue of exams, exam date, time of the exam, the name of the candidate, category, gender, etc.
  • It is mandatory to paste the photograph on top of admit card after getting the admit card.
  • A candidate will be allowed in examination center, only if they have valid admit card.
  • Candidates have to save the admit card until the admission process over.


JKCET Application Form 2018

Candidates must know how to fill when to fill, where to fill etc. detail about JKCET exams application form. Application Form will be available from 3rd week of January and the Last date to submit the Application Form is 4th week of February. Candidates have to fill application form of JKCET exams because after the due date application will be not accepted.

The application will be available in online mode only. No offline application form is available for candidates. Candidates have to fill the application form as in given format and candidates have to upload his/her scanned images of their photograph, signature & Thumb impression at the time of filling the application form in a JPG/JPEG Format.

Candidates have to follow the procedure to get & fill the application given below:

  • JKCET 2018 Application Form will be issued through online mode
  • No application will be provided in offline mode.
  • No application will be provided in offline mode.
  • Candidates will get the application form from the 1st February 2018 until the 28th February 2018.
  • Candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature & Thumb impression at the time of filling the application form in a JPG/JPEG Format.
  • The maximum photograph size should be 500 KB & signature/thumb impression size should be 200 KB.
  • Candidates also have to upload copies of permanent residence certificate, marks certificate (if the result is announced) & category certificate (if applicable).
  • After successfully filling the application form, candidates have to take a printout and keep safe for further use.

Application Fee:

Candidate is advised to keep printed copies of filled application form. Candidates can fill application form fees through online as well as by offline mode. Through medium online payment can be done by HDFC integrated payment gateway with any national credit/debit card.

Offline payment can be done by bank Challan from any branch of HDFC Bank & J & K Bank. Candidates have to pay Rs. 800/-  for JKCET exams application form. Below detail is provided for application form fees.

  • Candidates have to pay  800/-as an application fee for all categories.
  • Candidates can make payment through online or offline mode.
  • The online payment can be done through the HDFC integrated payment gateway with any national credit/debit card.
  • The offline payment can be made through Bank Challan from any branch of HDFC Bank & J & K Bank.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to check their eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. If they try to ignore it, the candidate may face difficulty in the admission process. Candidates, those are the permanent residence of the J & K state can apply.

Candidates are eligible who have qualified the intermediate examination & equivalent from the recognized board. Candidates appearing can also apply for JKCET exams. Candidates he/she should above 17 years of age. Related information is given below in detail.

The eligibility is given here:

  • Residential: Candidate must be a permanent citizen of J&K
  • Qualification Exam: The minimum qualification should be 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates have to score the minimum 50% marks(40% for the reserved category candidates).
  • Subjects: For engineering courses, candidates have to qualify their 10+2 or equivalent examination with PCM & English.
  • Age Limit: Candidate’s age should be 17 years completed on or before 31st December 2018.
  • Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for JKCET.


JKCET Exam Pattern

In JKCET Exams, candidates will get 2 hours for PCM & PCB, 1 hour for PCB, and 1 hour PCM for completing papers. As per board rule, no extra time will be given to candidates. Exams mode will be offline pen-paper based mode.

The question will be asked in multiple type questions and from each subject 60 question will be asked. If candidates give the right answer one marks will be given each correct answer. Following detail are given JKCET exam pattern below.

The exam pattern is mentioned here:

  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be organized through offline mode (pen-paper based).
  • Of Papers: The examination will consist of two papers each of PCM and PCB group.
  • Type of Questions: The question paper will be comprised of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • Of Questions:60 questions will be asked from per subject.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be allotted to the candidates for correct answers.
  • Negative Marking: There is negative marking for each wrong choice. 25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

JKCET Answer Key

Conducting authority release the JKCET exams answer key on online, official [portal. The Answer key will be release3d on last week of May, and final answer key will be released on 2nd or 3rd week of June.

Through answer, key candidates can roughly check their marks and estimate written in the examination. And approximate marks and rank in advance, it will help the students in the selection of their course and college. This will help candidates to prepare for further admission steps

  • JKCET 2018 Answer Key will be posted after a few days of the commencement of the exam.
  • The answer key will be published by the exam conducting authority through online mode.
  • In case, candidates will find any mistake in the answer key; they can send the written appeal with the supported document proof of standard textbooks on the prescribed format.
  • Candidates have to submit Rs.1000 as a challenge fee.

JKCET Result

JKCET result will be released through online mode on 15th May 2018. Through online, official portal of authority candidates can check their result. The result will be declared in the form of merit list on 2nd or 3rd week of June. To check result candidates have to enter his/her detail portal if candidate types incorrect detail webpage shows an error for correct page type correct detail in the portal.

By candidate score marks in entrance exams, merit list will be prepared. Merit list is prepared in descanting order for open merit category and each different reserved category.

Detail is provided of JKCET result and steps to download it :

  • JKCET 2018 Result will be published only through online mode in the 4th week of May 2018.
  • By the marks obtained by the candidates in the exam, the merit list will be prepared.
  • The merit list will be prepared separately in the descending order for general merit category & for another category.


Steps to Check JKCET Result

To check the result of the JKCET exams is very easy, all you have to follow the simple procedure to find the result which we have listed below.

  • Go to JKBOPEE’s official website org.
  • Search for the JKCET Result link at JKBOPEE website’s landing page.
  • After finding out the link, the candidate has to click on the link which will redirect you to the new page.
  • In the redirected page, the candidate has to write the details including the roll number, date of birth, and other details.
  • Submit the details by clicking on the submit button which will show you the result displayed in front of your screen.
  • Take the print out of the result and keep it safe for future usage.

JKCET counseling from

2nd or 3rd week of June document verification procedure for round 1 will be started. And 2nd round of document verification procedure will be started from on last week of June. Schedule of counseling will be posted on an official website & also in the two leading English newspapers of the State.

No separately counseling letter will be set to any candidates. For attaining counseling candidate have to bring all required documents with them and have to make payment of  Rs. 500/- as counseling fee. At the time of counseling, candidates will have to fill their choice related to courses & colleges as their preference in the form.

Below is provided document required at time of counseling and detail of counseling:

  • Candidates will be called for the counseling on the basis of the merit list.
  • The counseling schedule will be released through online mode & also in the two leading English newspapers of the J & K state.
  • Candidates will get their counseling letter through online mode from our website. No separate call letter will be sent to the candidates.
  • Candidates must bring their original certificates along with the Rs. 500/- as a counseling fee.
  • In the counseling session, candidates have to select the college/programmes according to their preference.

JKCET Cut-off Marks 

Different colleges, institution & courses have different cut-off marks.  Category wise cut-off marks is set for candidates. Like candidates belonging to reserved categories -SC, ST, OBC, and general category have different cut-off marks. On the basis of various factors such as number of students appearing for the exam, difficulty level of exam, etc. cut-off marks is set in colleges.

Candidate’s wants admission have to score above cut-off marks to eligible for admission. Admission committee decide the minimum score required for admission cut-off marks once it is set afterward no other person can make changes in it. Through the cutoff marks candidates can get to know they are eligible for admission in college or not. As well as it will help candidate to select their favorite college according to score marks in entrance marks.

Weightage subject in JKCET exams
