JNU 2020 Application Form

JNU Admission 2020 Application Form is completed and presented by the online mode process.

  • Initially, aspirants need to visit JNU’s official website for registration.
  • JNU Admission 2020 Application Form will be released on 2nd March 2020.
  • The complete application process will be in online mode only.
  • The last date to submit the application form is expected until 31st March 2020.
  • The photograph must be of 150 px width and 200 px height, and its size must be less than 20-25 KB, and the signature must bear 140 px width and 60 px height.
  • The aspirants should carefully examine the details before submitting the application form. Once you are done with scrutinizing your details, its print out can be saved for admission procedures.
  • The students will be required to submit the application fee to get done with the application. The application fee can be paid online through credit/debit card or net banking from SBI or offline through challan.
  • They will be providing three courses in an application form.
  • You will have to attach your scanned images of signature, photograph & documents in a precise manner.
  • Proceed further with payment of a fee by offline and online.

JNU 2020 Application Correction

In case candidates have entered incorrect details in the application form, they can modify/edit the details of the application form in March 2020 tentatively. Students will be required to make online editing in some fields. In case candidates have entered incorrect details in the application form, they can modify/edit the details of the application form in March 2020.

For various other fields, candidates are required to make an offline request for the modification of the details. All the corrections in the application must be made by the candidates before the last date of correction.

JNU Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

  • Both Indian and Foreign National candidates are eligible to apply.

Age Criteria

  • The minimum age limit to appear for the exam is 17 years.

For B.A (Hons.) 1st Year:

  • Passed or appearing Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) or any other reputed examination with minimum marks.
  • Certificate of Alimiah with minimum 45% marks and passed English Language subject at the senior secondary level or a three-year course held under the instruction of Darul-Uloom Deoband.

B.A. (Hons.) 2nd Year:

  • 1st Year of Bachelor’s Degree or any other equivalent examination.

For M.A. Course:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50 % marks in any stream under 10+2+3 pattern of education.

For M.Phil. /Ph.D. Program:

  • Master degree course in the relevant subject with minimum eligibility conditions. Eligible aspirants for a fellowship through the JRF category under the national eligibility test (NET)will be considered.

For PG Courses:

For MCA Programme

  • Qualifying Exam: Applying candidate must have done 10+2 level exams or Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/BCA) with Mathematics from a recognized board or university.
  • Qualifying Marks: Applying candidates must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks.

For the MA Programme

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have done a Bachelors’s degree in any stream under the pattern of 10+2+3.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidate must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying exam.

For M.Tech (Statistical Computing)

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have done Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research or any other Science branch OR completed his/her Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering OR MCA from a recognized board or University
  • Qualifying Marks: He/she must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying exam.

JNU 2020 Exam Pattern

For B.A (Hons.) 1st year (foreign language)

Exam mode: the exam will be conducted in an online CBT mode.
Type of questions: The document will consist of multiple-choice questions.
Language: The language support of the article will be English.

For B.A (Hons.) 2nd year (foreign language)

Language: The copy of the exam will be written in the corresponding foreign language.
Type of questions: The test will include multiple-choice questions.
Topics: The questioned document will include questions on a variety of topics: literature, basic knowledge and applied grammar, a civilization of the country, familiarity with the culture, etc.

For the master’s program (Economics)

Type of questions: The document will consist of an objective type of questions.
Parties: The questionnaire will consist of two parts: Parts A and B. Part A will have a type of objective question, and Part B will contain a short question and a long question.

For M.Tech (Statistical Calculation)

The number of questions: The questionnaire will consist of 100 questions in total.
Type of questions: The questionnaire will include multiple-choice questions.
Parties: The questionnaire will be divided into two parts: parts A and B.
Scoring system: For each correct answer, 1 point will be awarded. 0.25 points will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

For M.Tech (IT and Technology)

Type of questions: The questionnaire will include multiple-choice questions.
The number of questions: there will be a total of 100 multiple-choice questions in the document.
Scoring system: For each correct answer, 1 point will be awarded. 0.25 points will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

JNU Admission 2020 Syllabus

JNU Admission 2020 Syllabus will be released with the prospectus of the exam. The Syllabus of the exam will vary as per the courses are chosen by the applicants. For admission into UG Programmes, the Syllabus will include various topics from the 11th and 12th level. For the PG courses, candidates are required to prepare the core subjects from graduation.

JNU 2020 Admit Card

The Admit Card for the entrance examination of JNU could be downloaded from the official website of JNU. The admit card will allow the candidates to enter the examination hall on the examination date. The Admit card of the JNU 2020 will be Available on 21st April 2020. The applicants can download their Admit card of the exam from the official site of the University. The Admit Card will be including details about the exam in print, namely exam venue, roll no of students, the name of aspirants. Admit card is a mandatory document that has to be carried by the students on the day of examination. No student will be allowed to enter into the exam hall without showing the Admit Card along with a valid photo id proof.

JNU Admission 2020 Answer Key

After the successful completion of the exams, the board will release the JNU 2020 Answer key for various programs. It will be made available through online mode. Students will be able to calculate their marks scored in the entrance test with the help of the Answer key. The Answer key will be released online only for the objective type of question papers and not for the subjective type of questions. A link will be provided on the website for downloading the answer key.

JNU 2020 Result

The result of the JNU 2020 Entrance Examination will be made known by the online process on the website. JNU Admission 2020 Result will be released on 31st May 2020 for viva voce programs. Students will be able to check their results by online mode. The published result will mention the qualifying rank and marks obtained in the entrance test.

  • Only eligible students will be able to join the upcoming round of selection process, including viva-voce.
  • Distinct merit list will be designed for the general category, schedule cast category, schedule tribe category, OBC category, and physically handicapped category.
  • The Result of the JNU 2020 will be out in February 2020. The scorecard is download from the official site by providing roll no and date of birth.
  • This will be the official website of the authority. The students will need to download it from the website by disclosing roll no and date of birth.
  • The result will bear the necessary details for the student’s score in the exam.

JNU Admission 2020 Cut Off

JNU Admission 2020 Cut Off will be released through online mode after the declaration of results. The Cut Off will be released for various programs and various categories separately. The Cut Off marks will be prepared by various factors like the total number of appearing candidates, highest and lowest marks secured by the students in the entrance test, the difficulty level of the exam, etc.

JNU Counselling 2020

The process of admission to the JNU will begin in June 2020. Students can apply for admission according to their degree of merit. Candidates whose name will appear on the list of merits must register to be admitted. Students must also pay the seat acceptance fee at the time of registration for admission. The rate will be Rs. 295 / – for doctorate, M.Phil./Ph.D., Rs. 10,174.50 for PGDE, Rs. 283 / – for MA / M.Sc. / MCA, BA (Hons.) And Rs. 234 / – for part-time courses. Candidates must bring the necessary certificates, as well as photocopies at the time of admission.

Selected students will be able to secure their admission through their performance in the entrance examination and the viva-voce. JNU Admission 2020 Counselling Process for admission into various programs will start from July 2020. Students who will qualify the entrance test will be selected in the merit list and then called for counseling/admission as per merit order. After the students are shortlisted in the merit list, they have to register for admission. Also, students have to bring their required documents and testimonials for the document verification process.
