JNU 2018 Merit List will be released on 25th March 2018.Jawaharlal Nehru University which is termed as JNU is responsible for conducting JNU Entrance Exam with the purpose of offering admission into a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs provided by the university. For JNU admission, the JNE scores are considered. With the notification, the authority concludes that the exam will be held in December. JNU Result 2018 will be declared on 21st February 2018.

JNUEE 2018 Application Process 

to be made sure of the admission, you need to fill in the application form with all the necessary details- name, date of birth, address, contact no, email id and qualification. The official notification for the release of the application for is at jnu.ac.in

Then you will need to attach the required documents to the form- photograph as per specifications-

After completing the above procedures, you will receive the confirmation page with a Unique Application No.

After that, the application fee must be paid by online with credit card/debit card.

Eligibility Criteria

The students will have to meet the eligibility criteria which specifies the education qualifications other requirements that must be met by all students appearing for the entrance exam.


Qualification Eligibility BA. (Hons.) 1st year

  • Passed/appearing 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 45% marks.
  • Certificate of Alimiah with at least 45% marks and passed English Language subject at senor secondary level or a 3-years course conducted by Darul-Uloom Deoband.

B.A. (Hons.) 2nd year in the German

  • First year of Bachelor’s degree or an examination recognized as equivalent with at least 50% marks under 10+2+3 pattern with proficiency in German.

B.A. (Hons.) 2nd year other than German

  • First year of Bachelor’s degree or an examination recognized as equivalent with at least 45% marks under 10+2+3 pattern with proficiency in the concerned language.

M.A. in Economics (with Specialization in World Economy)

  • Bachelor’s degree passed with minimum 50% aggregate marks in the following subjects:
  • Economics (Hons.) with Mathematics as a subsidiary subject or Mathematics (Hons.) with Economics as-as a subsidiary subject or Statistics (Hons.) with Mathematics and Economics as a subsidiary subject.
  • Any bachelor’s degree passed with Mathematics & Economics by securing 60% marks.

M.A. in Politics (with specialization in International Studies) & M.A. in (International Relations and Area Studies)

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline passed with not less than 50% marks.

M.Phil/ Ph.D.

  • Passed master’s degree in the related discipline.

M.Sc (Life Sciences)

  • Bachelor’s (B. Sc. or B Tech or equivalent) in
  • Biological, Physical or Agricultural Sciences or Biotechnology under the 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 55% marks.


  • Pass bachelor’s degree (like BCA or B.Tech) with Mathematics in 10+2 or at the graduate level with at least 55% marks.


  • Pass Master Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or Statistics or Operational Research or in any branch of Science or Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering or MCA by securing minimum 55% marks.

Ph.D. (Direct Admission)

  • 2-years M.Phil degree or 1-year M.Phil with one-year research experience and one publication.
  • Minimum 2-years research experience after Master’s degree or diploma equivalent of Master degree with research publication. Moreover, master’s degree should be passed with at least 55% marks.

M.Phil/ Ph.D. & Ph.D. (Through JRF)

  • Pass M.Sc in a relevant subject.
  • Candidates who have qualified for the examination for a fellowship through a national level written test, i.e. JRF category under CSIR/UGC National Eligibility Test (NET)-JRF, DBT-JRF (Category-I), ICMR-JRF, INSPIRE Fellowship, Ayush Fellowship, Bioinformatic National Certification (BINC) examination (conducted by DBT) or any other fellowship awarded from Government of India.

JNUEE 2019 Admit Card

The aspirants will require downloading the hall ticket for JNU Entrance Exam from its official page. The admit card contains details relating to the exam and the students. It is generated online when there is a week left for the exam. For its download, aspirants must provide the registration no and date of birth by a link made available at jnu.ac.in

JNUEE Exam 2018 Pattern 

The exam pattern is decided by the Jawaharlal Nehru University. The test will be conducted for three hours, and the mode of the exam will be either subjectively and objectively as per course. There will be questions on Humanities and Social Sciences.

JNUEE  2018 Result

The result will be announced at the website of the university for the students who have taken the exam. It will be produced for all those failing the exam and doing well in the review. Forgetting the scorecard or result, there is a requirement of the date of birth and roll no. The scorecard will be reflecting the total scores, ranks and overall performance of the students. The selection will happen on the written test.

JNUEE 2018 Counselling

The counseling will be held from July 2018 on behalf of Jawaharlal Nehru University, and the aspirants will be the counseling by their performance in the written exam. The university will have generated the merit list of the candidates those will be selected for the viva-voce. The viva-voce will be conducted for few courses by the university and students will attend the counseling will be provided with the seats. Post the announcement of the result; the counseling procedure will be started by the university.
