JTET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

- Nationality: Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
- Age limit: The age limit is different for each level.
- Domicile: The applicants must be local or permanent residents of Jharkhand state.
Eligibility Criteria for the Class I to class V (paper I) Primary level.
- Educational Qualification:
- HSC exams or intermediate exam must have been completed by the applicants from a recognized state board of education.
- One must be appearing in the final 2 – year of Diploma in elementary education from a recognized university to apply.
- One must have passed 4 – year of Bachelor of Elementary Education that is B. EI. Ed. From a recognized university in order to apply for the eligibility test.
- For the eligibility test those applicants are also eligible to apply who have completed a BA / B. Sc. Degree and B. Ed. From a recognized university or institution.
- Minimum Marks:The minimum marks required by the applicants to score in the qualifying exam is not less than 45 % marks.
Eligibility Criteria for the Class VI to class VIPaper-IIr II) Upper Primary level.
- Educational Qualification:
- Graduation degree must have been completed by the applicants from a recognized university or institution.
- One must be appearing in the final 2 – year of Diploma in education (D. Ed) from a recognized university in order to apply.
- One must have passed graduation degree in B. Ed. From a recognized university or institution in order to apply.
- One must have passed 4 – the year of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. EI. Ed.) / 4 – the year of B. Sc. (Ed.) / B. Ed. (special education) / BA / B. Sc. Ed. A. (Ed.) from a recognized university in order to apply for the eligibility test.
- Minimum Marks: The minimum marks required by the applicants to secure in the qualifying exam is not less than 50 % marks.
JTET 2021 Exam Pattern

- Mode of Exam: In offline mode, the entrance exam will be conducted by the official authorities.
- Duration of Exam: The question paper of the entrance exam must be solved in 2 hrs 30 minutes’ duration.
