Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) is the popular eligibility entrance examination conducted for hiring a teacher post and this test is conducted by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).

JTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have the Eligibility Criteria to apply in the JTET Examination and applicants will not be able to apply in this examination if they are not eligible. It is necessary for the candidates to check the Eligibility Criteria before applying. The Eligibility Criteria details are mentioned below.

For paper 1 (primary teacher)

• The candidate must have passed the class 12th or equivalent examination with at least 45% marks and should have passed or are in the final year of the Diploma in Elementary Education.
• The applicant should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the class 12th exam and have passed (or appeared in the final year) the Bachelor of Elementary Education.
• The candidate must have passed the class 12th or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks and should have passed (or will be appearing) in the final year of the Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Those who have passed BE/B.Sc with a minimum of 50% marks and hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree can also apply for JTET 2023.

For paper 2 (upper-primary teacher)

• Those who have passed graduation with 45% marks and have passed/or appeared in the final year of a 2-year D.Ed are considered eligible.
• The candidates who have done graduation with at least 45% marks and secured 50% marks in B.Ed can apply. Candidates appearing in the final year B. Ed exam are also eligible.
• The applicants who have passed the class 12th exam with a minimum of 50% marks and have passed (or appeared in final exams) of 4-year B.El.Ed/4-year BA/B.Sc.Ed can apply.
• The candidates who have passed B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50% eligible for JTET 2023.

JTET 2023 Application Form

In the week of September, the Application Form for JTET will be available online mode on the official website of JAC. The aspiring and eligible candidates can fill out the Application Form on the Provided schedule through the authority.

In the Application Form, applicants should have to fill in all of the correct and complete details. After filling in and submitting all of the details, applicants need to make the payment of the application fee.
