Karnataka PGCET Important Dates

Students can check below tentative dates of Karnataka PGCET 2020 for various events:

Karnataka PGCET 2020 Application Form

First thing first, students will need to register at the website to apply for the exam. The critical information has to be entered in the Application Form– names, address, parents name, date of birth, email address, and contact number, for instance. It will also be required to provide an education certificate with the mention of Application details.

  • Applicants will have to produce ID and password along with mobile numbers for confirmation.
  • The Application Form for Karnataka PGCET 2020 will be released in the third week of May 2020.
  • When aspirants are finished with registration, they may log in with the ID password.
  • The details will not be generated with Email or SMS.
  • Give scanned photographs, thumb impression, and signature
  • Now get the E-Challan and complete the procedures by paying the fee.
  • Submitting the fee, they will go for mentioning details and keeping the even copy of the application form for the counseling process.
  • The last date to fill the application form is until the first week of June 2020.

Application Fee

  • The general category will have to submit Rs.650 and SC, and ST categories will be making the payment of Rs. 500
  • Aspirants can pay the fee by visiting any branch of State Bank of Mysore. At the Post Office, you may also op for other payment.

Karnataka PGCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants must have their residence in the state of Karnataka.

  • The admission will be given by B.E or B.Tech, or another relevant degree obtaining 50% marks applies only to  General division.
  • Students who are from SC, ST, and OBC division need will have to obtain 45% marks in the examination.
  • Those getting into Karnataka PGCE 2020 must be studying the state of Karnataka for eight years.
  • Applicants not getting GATE scores will not be able to apply for PGCET 2020.
  • Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Domicile: Candidates belonging to Karnataka state must have domicile of Karnataka.

General Eligibility

  • Candidates from Karnataka and not Karnataka (for positions assigned by the administration for (MBA / MCA) can apply for both.
  • SC / ST / Category-I / OBC only applies to Karnataka candidates.
  • Candidates from the state of Karnataka must have the Karnataka home.
  • Possible candidates may also apply.

Qualification Criteria:

For MBA

Qualification exam: Candidates must have a degree of at least three years or its equivalent.
The minimum number of points: must be successful with a minimum of 50% (45% of points in Q.E for candidates SC, ST, and Category I in Karnataka).

For MCA

Qualification exam: candidates must take the MU exam or equivalent exam with BCA, B.Sc (Computing / Computing) from a recognized university.
Topics: Applicants must have Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Application, Computer Programming, Business Mathematics, and Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects in the qualification exam.
Minimum marks: candidates must have obtained 50% points. 45% points for SC, ST, and OBC candidates from the state of Karnataka.

For side entry of MCA

Qualification test: applicants must qualify for a BCA B.Sc. (Computer Science / Computer Science) degree from a recognized university.
Topics: Mathematics and business statistics are one of the optional subjects.
Minimum marks: candidates must have obtained 50% points. 45% points for SC, ST, and OBC candidates from the state of Karnataka.

For M.E / M.Tech / M.Arch

Qualification exam: Candidates must have a clear equivalent exam in any discipline of a recognized university.
GATE score: a candidate must have a valid Gate score.
Minimum marks: candidates must have obtained 50% points. 45% points for SC, ST, and OBC candidates from the state of Karnataka.

Karnataka PGCET 2020 Exam Pattern

  • The exam timing will be set for two hours.
  • The exam paper will be patterned in the English language.
  • The exam will consist of 100 questions, which will be distributed to varied parts.
  • Part I will be consisting of 50 questions with one mark for attempting each question.
  • Part II will have 25 questions with two marks for the particular question.

Karnataka PGCET 2020 Syllabus

The officials will be responsible for providing a Syllabus at the website as per the subject specified in the exam pattern.

  • The syllabus for MBA/MCA/M.Tech/M. Arch will be accessible to students from the website.
  • They must not neglect any topic covering the syllabus for achieving thorough preparation.

For ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch

The Syllabus for this course will vary as per the branches are chosen by the candidates. Sixty questions will be from the technical syllabus and remaining will be from Arithmetic and Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and English.

For MBA

The Syllabus of MBA will consist of questions from English grammar, vocabulary, and literature section. There will also be a question from General Knowledge, Reasoning and General Intelligence and Quantitative analysis.

For MCA

The MCA Syllabus will consist of questions from General Awareness, General English, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, and Mathematics.

Karnataka PGCET Preparation Tips

Check below various Preparation Tips for the exam appearing candidates to know methods for achieving a good score in the entrance test: Candidates are advised to cover topics as per the given syllabus. Candidates must go through the syllabus and exam pattern prescribed by the board.

  • Candidates must make notes for the exam to revise various topics more easily.

  • Candidates must attempt various mock tests to enhance their preparation level.

Karnataka PGCET 2020 Admit Card

The possession of the Admit Card will be the online process. The Admit Card will be mentioning the important details about the exam, such as exam timing, date and place roll no of students, etc.

  • It is implied to have a copy of the admit card while appearing for the exam. Students will need to show sober prudence in handling admit card as you will not be taking the exam without admit card. Karnataka PGCET will be produced in the fourth week of June 2020.
  • For downloading the Admit Card, you need to give the application number and date of birth
  • Students will have to preserve the Admit Card for the exam.

Karnataka PGCET 2020 Answer Key

Karnataka PGCET 2020 Answer Key will be released within a few days after the completion of the entrance exam. Candidates can download the answer key by online mode. Candidates can also file their objections regarding the answers within three days after publishing the answer key along with supporting documents and justification.

  • The Answer Key will be renounced by officials after three days of the examination.
  • The Answer Key will be attained by the second week of July 2020.
  • A merit list will be produced for different courses as per of marks of the students obtained in the PGCET exam.

Karnataka PGCET 2020 Result

The Result can be accessed by the online process by giving the registration no.

  • Students will be needed to visit the official page to get their marks.
  • The officials will be authorized to declare the result in the 3rd week of August 2020.

Karnataka PGCE 2020 Counselling

  • The Counseling 2020 will occur from September 2020.
  • Counseling will be organized by offline.
  • They need to be available as per the scheduled date and time while counseling.
  • The KEA will be informed of the selected students who have got seats through the reserved category for chasing MBA, MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch after the finish of the counseling round. The Candidates need to verify their documents for document verification and then select their college and course as per their preference.

The seats will be allotted only after the verification of all original documents.
