Karnataka Polytechnic 2018 Counselling (2nd Round) has been organized from 4th July 2018. Karnataka Polytechnic 2018 is the state level admission process of Karnataka state.  Karnataka Polytechnic is a  state level polytechnic entrance exam.

Karnataka Polytechnic Counselling 


The counseling is starting from 18th June 2018 through offline mode as per the ranks. Karnataka Polytechnic admission process will be started after the result announced to the candidate. On the bases of cut-off marks, the candidate will be given admission. Merit list will be prepared according to candidates score marks in the examination. In those cases, the deserving candidate will be given admission.

Candidates who are interested in attaining counseling can download the letter of counseling from the official portal of conducting authority. Candidates have to submit all required documentation for registration and verification. If the candidate submits the incorrect document and found in scrutiny candidates admission will be canceled.

The candidates wish to take admission to the Karnataka Polytechnic colleges have to bring the following documents for verification purpose:

  • SSLC or equivalent examination mark sheet
  • SSLC/10th passing certificate
  • Original Transfer Certificate
  • Recent Passport Size Photographs
  • Character Certificate
  • Caste Certificate
  • Eligibility certificate in case if passed the qualifying examination from the educational board other than Karnataka

Karnataka Polytechnic Application Form


Candidate must know How to fill when to fill, all detail related to filling an application form. Karnataka Polytechnic application form is available in offline as well as online mode. The application is available from the second week of May. After submitting a filled application form, the candidate must keep one printed copies with them for further use.

The candidates can fill the form till the first week of June 2018. The candidates can obtain the application form from the prescribed centers or government-aided polytechnic institutes as suggested by the DTE.

The applicants are requested to keep the completely filled application form properly for the further uses in future. The applicants can also apply for any other nodal centers, this will cost the candidate separate application fees for each nodal center.

 Few details is proved to candidate related to the application.

  • Once the application form is filled, the candidates are required  to submit documents at ‘Document Verification cum Online Application Submission Centres and Option Entry Help Centres.’
  • The officer or the representative over Karnataka Polytechnic will verify all the documents of the candidate and submit it online in the presence of the candidate and the option entries are entered online as the priority of the candidate.
  • The application form should be submitted till 28th May 2018.
  • After making the option entry, the authority will send a password or a confidential key to the mobile number of the candidate.
  • After completing these formalities the candidate should visit the site due.kar.nic.in and select candidate portal, enter the password (Received on the registered mobile number) and sign up and then create a new password to complete the process.
  • Then log-in DTE website again and Click on Diploma Admission 2018 and click candidate Portal link and enter the auto-generated password and configure the password for viewing the application details entered online.

Application Fee:

Application fees can be paid by online and offline. A candidate who has filled application and fall in general category have to pay Rs. 100/- for the application. And those candidates have filled application and fall in SC/ST category have to pay Rs. 50/- for the application.

Below is given detail of application fees of Karnataka Polytechnic:

  • The general category fee will be 100/-
  • The SC/ST category fee will be  500/-
  • The application fee shall submit it to the nodal center where the candidate wants to take the admission.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for admission look out eligibility criteria of Karnataka Polytechnic. Candidate must know full eligibility criteria because sometime candidate fails to know which harm them at the time of taking admission.

Candidate should know basic information about the candidate should be the Indian citizen, a candidate must be passed the 10th examination from English, Physical Science/Science and Mathematics from any recognized board etc more eligibility criteria are provided below in detail.

Before filling the application form, candidates must check the eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed SSLC/10th or its equivalent examination from the recognized educational board of Karnataka.
  • The qualifying examination must be passed in Science and Mathematics with the minimum aggregate of 35% marks.
  • The candidates who have passed their SSLC examination from another board other than Karnataka then he/she has to produce the eligibility certificate issued by the Secretary, Board of Technical Examinations, Bangalore.

Karnataka Polytechnic Admit card 


Candidate can download admit card/hall ticket through online, official portal of conducting authority. Candidates who successfully submitted the application can only download their hall ticket from the portal. The DTE website provides the admit card for the candidates to download from there. Hall ticket is a mandatory document it contains candidate-related detail such candidates name, center, roll number, center, address, the birth of date etc.

It is candidate responsibility to keep save their hall ticket till the completion of exams. Candidate will not be allowed to sit in the examination hall without the Karnataka Polytechnic Admit Card and a valid photo identity proof. The candidate is advised to keep printed copies of hall ticket for further use.

  • Candidates who have successfully registered for the exam will be able to get the Karnataka Polytechnic hall ticket.
  • Students can get the Karnataka Polytechnic admit card via online mode through the website (The DTE website).
  • The admit card will not be sent by post.
  • Candidates are not allowed to appear in the examination without producing a valid admit card.
  • Karnataka Polytechnic Admit card will contain details like roll number, exam center, exam date, time, etc.

Karnataka Polytechnic Result


Candidate can check their result in the month of June. Karnataka Polytechnic scorecard will available via online through official portal of authority. Students can check the DTE website, which will provide with the further details. Through login, window candidate can view their scorecard. To see result candidate have to type Roll number and birth of date in official portal if, in case of candidate type wrong detail website will show error.

For correct page, the candidate has to write the correct detail of candidates. Candidate can save the page in laptop/computer or can take a screenshot on the phone. Candidates are advised to keep printed copies of result for further use and admission process.

 

  • The Karnataka Polytechnic Result will be declared in the second week of June.
  • Students may check the result through the website.
  • Students are needed to enter the following details Candidate ID, Password & Security Code to check the result.
  • Take some extra printouts of the result for further use.
  • A merit list will be prepared as per the marks obtained in the examination.
  • Karnataka Polytechnic Rank List will be prepared separately for various categories.

Karnataka Polytechnic Answer Key


An answer key is released by Karnataka State Council for Technical Education  The answer key of Karnataka Polytechnic exams will be released after the result announcement is done.  In huge amount, candidates attained the Karnataka Polytechnic exams. The answer key is issued for candidates appear for the Karnataka Polytechnic Exam.

Candidate can estimate marks and roughly check question answer written in the examination. This will help the candidate to roughly check their marks/score of Entrance exams. This will help candidates to prepare for further admission process/ steps.

Selection Process


  • The candidates are selected for admission on the basis of marks secured by them in the SSLC/10th examination.
  • The candidate’s performance in matriculation examination will be taken into consideration for providing admission.

Seat Allotment


  • The seat allotment will be purely based on the candidate’s merit list that will be published category-wise. The Directorate reserves 50% seats for various groups of the society.
  • The seat allotment on the remaining 50% seats will be processed as per the candidate’s score in 10th/SSLC or its equivalent examination.

Karnataka Polytechnic Cut-Off


Karnataka Polytechnic Based on the Cut off Marks/Qualify Marks only the officials will give the rank to the candidates’.A candidate who has attended for the Karnataka Polytechnic exam to get the rank card it is necessary to score minimum qualifying marks.

Candidate score above cut-off marks will get admission in college. The different college has different cut off marks. Every college change cut off marks according to the candidate appearing marking scheme, the number of seats and difficulty level of the entrance exams.

Cut-off will be determined after the declaration of results. Exam committee considers various factors for calculating the cut-off marks like difficulty level of question paper, a number of candidates attempted the exam and previous years cut-off trends.

Through cut-off marks candidate can roughly check that they are eligible to apply or not. This will help the candidate to select their favorite college according to score marks in entrance exams.
