KCET 2018 Allotment Result for 2nd  extended round has been released. KCET 2018 (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is a state level entrance exam.  KCET referred to (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) which is organized by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA CET), under the aegis of Karnataka University. KCET is a state level entrance examination.

Through this admission is possible in professional degree courses in the state of Karnataka. Main aim to conduct this exam is to offer admission to candidates for various courses in the field of pharmacy, engineering & other allied and many other courses.

A candidate wants admission in B.Tech courses to have to appear for the state level entrance examination. Candidates have to qualify NEET exams for MBBS & BDS courses since the college provides the course in pharmacy.

The KCET Counseling is starting from 12th June 2018. Candidates have to fill and submit the application form at Karnataka or other notified centers and obtain Acknowledgement card with registration number as a proof of form submission. Admission will be done on the basis of candidates score marks in entrance exams. Candidate appearing counseling has to bring all required documents for registration and verification. If candidates have submitted incorrect document candidates admission will be canceled. Detail is given in the following point:

  • After the result announcement, candidates have to fill the application form at the notified location.
  • Separate merit list will be prepared for all the courses as per the marks scored in the examination.
  • Students will be invited for counseling on the basis of merit list.
  • In the KCET admission process, the shortlisted candidates have to present in person at the notified center.
  • At the time of admission, candidates have to bring their original required documents.
  • If candidates fail to appear for the admission rounds, their seats will be offered to other candidates in the merit list.

Documents Required


Here we have listed the documents required at the time of document verification:

  • KCET 2017 admit card
  • KCET 2017 scorecard
  • SSLC/ 10th class mark sheet
  • 2nd PUC/ 12th class mark sheet
  • Copy of filled KCET 2017 application form
  • Two latest passport size photographs
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)

The answer key was published the week after the exam. The KCET correction key was published online on April 23, 2018. The correction key has been released for all games. It will be published as provisional and final. It contains all the answers to the question asked during the exam.

KCET 2019


The Karnataka Common Entrance Exam is a state exam organized by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The KCET 2019 exam will be held to offer admission to the first year of engineering, agriculture, pharmacy and several other courses. The exam will take place in April 2019.

KCET Result 2018


KCET exams result will be published by the conducted authority through online, official portal. The result has been announced by the conducting authority on 1st June 2018.No individual scorecard will be issued to candidates. Candidates have to keep printed copies of result for verification and registration of admission. To see result candidates have to enter detail in official portal page for correct page type correct detail. If candidates type wrong detail in page website will show error.

  • KCET 2018 result will be published on 1st June 2018.
  • Candidates those appeared in the examination can check their results via online mode through the website.
  • The individual scorecard will not be given to any candidate.
  • On the basis of the result, the merit list will be prepared for providing admission.

KCET Hall Ticket


Admit card/Hall ticket is the mandatory document which contains detail of candidates like name, roll number, a birth of dates, center etc.

Candidate can download hall ticket from official portal. Those who have successfully submitted the application can only download admit card from websites.KCET 2018 Admit Card has been released on 6th April 2018.

Its candidate’s responsibility to keep safe their hall ticket till the completion of exams. If candidates didn’t bring hall ticket at time of exams candidate will not allow writing exams.

  • Candidates those successfully submitted the application form can get their admit card.
  • Admit card will be issued to candidates in person after submitting the application.
  • Candidates must produce the “Photo Admit card” for appearing in the examination.
  • It is informed to the candidates to check all details of the exam mentioned on the admit card.

  The  KCET Admit Card will contain 

  • Name of the candidate
  • Date of Birth
  • Photograph of the candidate
  • Exam Roll Number
  • Exam Centre and Date of examination

KCET Application Form 2018

The application form will be available in online, official portal. Application Form will be available on online from Last week of January and the Last Date of submission of Application Form is 2nd week of March. Candidate can fill application form of KCET exams through online as well as by offline mode. Candidates should know how to fill when to fill, where to fill etc. Candidates have to fill application as given in brochure and have to upload his/her scanned images of their 3 photographs, signature & Thumb impression at the time of filling the application form in a JPG/JPEG Format.   The detailed application process is given below:

  • Download the application form and take the printout of it.
  • Candidates must fill the application form in their own handwriting.
  • KCET 2018 Registration is starting from 1st February 2018.
  • Candidates can register for the KCET exam till 8th March 2018.
  • Candidates are required to fill all details in the application form carefully.
  • Paste recent photograph in the application form.
  • Attach all the required documents like DD, qualifying exam certificates, etc. with the application form.
  • Candidates have to submit the application form at the notified locations (as per center opted), on specified dates, along with self-attested copies of required documents.

Application Fee 2018: 


Candidates are advised to keep printed copies of filled application form. The fee payment will be made through the specified bank challan. Candidates have to pay application fee through demand draft in favor of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority payable at Bangalore. Candidates have to pay the application fee before the due date. Late charged fees will be charged to candidates. Once payment is done it will not be refunded back to candidates. Belo is given application form fees for KCET exams:

  • The application fee of KCET 2018 will be Rs. 650/-  for the general category and for SC/ST the fees is Rs. 500.
  • The candidates who are non-resident of Karnataka have to pay Rs. 750/- and candidates who are non-resident of India have to pay Rs. 5000/-
  • Candidates have to submit the application fee by making Demand Draft.
  • The late fee will be charged if the candidate will fill the form after the last date of submission of application form.
  • The demand draft should be made in favor of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority payable at Bangalore.

KCET Eligibility Criteria 2018


Candidate has to check they are eligible for applying or not if the candidate didn’t know about the basic detail they can face difficulty at the time of admission process. Candidate of an Indian citizen or Non-resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders are also eligible to apply. Before filling the application form candidates can check their KCET exams eligibility criteria Nationality, Age Limit Criteria, Qualification Criteria, etc given below:

Nationality:


  • Candidates should be Indian Nationals.

  • Non-resident Indians with the valid passport can also apply under seat reserved for NRI category.
  • Overseas citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible for admissions to seats under NRI category.

Age Limit Criteria:


  • Pharmacy, Engineering: There is no age limit, minimum or maximum has been mentioned for admission in these courses.

Qualification Criteria:


For Engineering course: 

  • Pass in 2nd PUC/12th or equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and English as a language subject.
  • Candidates must have secured 45% marks in physics & mathematics along with any one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer for general candidates and 40% marks for reserved categories.
  • Candidates appearing in qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
  • For architecture, candidates have to qualify the NATA examination.

For Pharmacy/Science courses:

  • Candidates should have cleared 2nd PUC/12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and English as a language subject.
  • Students must have obtained 50% marks in PCB group for general categories and 40% marks for reserved categories.
  • Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.

KCET Exam Pattern


Candidates appearing KCET exams have to complete their paper in 2 hours. As per board law candidate will not give extra time to complete paper. Candidate will ask objective type questions with multiple optional answers for each question. The exam is pen-paper based. In exams Question, the paper pattern will be in OMR form. For each correct answer, a candidate will be given 1 mark. Following detail of KCET exams, pattern and table are given of subject, no. of the question and maximum marks.

  • Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted via offline method (pen and paper based mode).
  • Type of Questions: Questions will be objective type questions.
  • No. of Questions: Each section will contain total 60 questions.
  • Answer Mode: Candidates will be required to use only blue or black ball point pen to mark their answers.
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct response, one mark will be awarded.
  • Negative Marking: There will not any provision of negative marking for the incorrect response.

KCET Cutoff 


Candidates have to score above cut-off marks to qualify for Karnataka common entrance test. Different courses and college have different cut-off marks.  Candidate will get admission on the basis of candidates score marks in the entrance test. Every year’s college change cut-off marks according to category wise. Cut- off marks of KCET exams is set according to factors like the number of applicants, the number of vacant seats etc. To know you are eligible for admission or not check previous years cut-off marks. This will give you an idea to score above it and also select any college according to score marks in the examination. KCET Exam Centre


Schedule is prepared below for candidates to select the KCET exams center so that they can appear exams.
