It is also considered as KCET 2020. After giving the KCET 2020 Entrance examinations, The candidates will be able to take admission into various Government, Private and autonomous institutions of the state of Karnataka. Those candidates who want to take admission into various Medical Courses like MBBS and BDS are supposed to give the NEET 2020 Exam

KCET entrance examination is conducted every year to take admission into various Engineering and Pharmacy Courses. Candidates who are interested to take admission into various architecture field are requested to fill the NATA Application Form. To access the admission criteria, aspirants will have to go through the application process.

KCET 2020 Application Form

The authority will release the application form through online mode only.

  • Candidates have to fill in their personal and educational details in the KCET Application Form.
  • KCET 2020 Application Form has been available from 5th February 2020.
  • The application form filling facility is provided until 2nd March 2020.
  • The Final Chance Application Form has been released on 8th May – 18th May 2020.
  • The most stunning fact about the KCET is its form filling procedures that have been started on 5th February 2020 and go on till 6th March 2020.
  • Aspirants will have to provide the necessary personal and study details with the documents. Details must be filled with a strict sense of accuracy.
  • Attach a scanned image of the photograph and signature to the application form. Make sure that the documents provided by you are correct.
  • KCET 2020 Application Correction has been started on 19th March 2020 as soon as the Application form filling dates till 25th March 2020.
  • Candidates also have to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression in JPG/JPEG format.
  • The application form will be considered complete only after the payment of the fee.
  • Take the printout of the filled-in application form at the end.
  • Download the application form, and its hard copy must be protected.

Application Fee

Candidates can submit the application fee through both (online & offline) modes. Candidates residing outside of India have to submit the fee through DD drew in favor of Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority payable at Bangalore.

Payment criteria are fulfilled by the offline process (Challan). Applicants who are not from India will require to pay with DD through Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority at Bangalore.

KCET 2021

The KCET 2021 Examination is managed by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to provide admission to the candidates in various Engineering, B. Pharm, and Farm Science courses in Government/ University/ Private Aided/Private un-aided institutions in Karnataka State. From the 1st week of January 2021, the KCET 2021 Application Form will be started and till the 3rd week of January 2021, this Application Form will be available.

KCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Nativity: Candidates are Resident of India, they also can be Apply for Admission.

Appearing Candidates: Students Also can be Apply. But, they have to submit a passing certificate Proof of qualifying exam for Counseling Procedure.

The KEA will only accept the applications of eligible candidates. So, it is necessary to fulfill all the eligibility criteria prescribed by the official authority.

For Engineering/Architecture Courses

  • For admission in preferred courses, applicants must have done PUC or Intermediate or related exams from a well-established board or institution.
  • For eligibility, subjects like Physics & Mathematics are highly considered at the time of admission.
  • The General division must attain 45% marks whereas SC and ST divisions need to attain 40% marks from the above subjects along also of Biology Biotechnology/ Chemistry /Electronics/ Computer science.
  • Those who are still achieving their education will be eligible for KCET 2020.
  • Aspirants will require NATA Scores for pursuing architecture courses.

For Pharmacy and Architecture courses

  • To become eligible for architecture programs, aspirants should attain PUC/Intermediate or related degree from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English will be an important subject.
  • 50% marks are considered for General Divisions and 40% for SC/ST Category in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Aspirants who are still studying will be considered for admission.

MBBS/BDS/Ayush Courses Passed 12th/2nd PUC with English as one of the language subjects and obtaining 50% aggregate marks in PCB (40% for reserved category candidates)
B.Arch Passed 12th/2nd PUC with Mathematics as one of the compulsory optional subjects and obtaining 50% aggregate marks in all subjects (45% for reserved category candidates)
B.Tech/BE Passed 12th/2nd PUC with English as one of the language subjects and obtaining 45% aggregate marks in Physics & Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computer (40% for reserved category candidates)
B.V. Sc. & A.H. Passed 12th/2nd PUC with obtaining 50% aggregate marks in PCB & English (40% for reserved category candidates)
B.Pharma Passed in 2nd PUC/12th with PCB or PCM and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects (40% for reserved category candidates)
Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution approved by PCI and secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% for category candidates)

KCET 2020 Exam Pattern

  • The examination will be conducted Offline.
  • Type of questions: Students will attempt
  • MCQ questions.
  • of questions: Each section will incorporate 60 questions.
  • Marking: For the correct attempt, one mark is added and no subtraction of marks for the incorrect attempt.

KCET 2020 Syllabus

The Syllabus will be provided by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. The syllabus for engineering courses will be on the standard of PCM subjects, and the syllabus for pharmacy will be on the standard of PCB subjects. The KCET syllabus will be set by the KEA only. The question papers of the Common Entrance Test will be based on the first and second PUC syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.

KCET 2020 Admit Card

KCET 2020 Admit Card has been displayed on the official website on 20th July 2020. Admit Card will be incorporating the student’s name, roll no, exam timing, exam date, and venue, etc. As per the instruction of KCEA, students will have to produce Admit Cards on the examination day.

The students will need to bring various copies of the hall ticket when giving the exam. For this purpose, it has to be downloaded from the website with registration no and password. 

Before attending the exam, it is just to check the instructions on the Admit Card for better comprehension of rules and regulations. Candidates will be not allowed to enter the examination hall without the proper Admit Card.

KCET Answer Key 2020

Once the Examination will be completed, the provisional Answer key will be published by KEA on the official website which will be visible for every aspirant who has applied for the KCET 2020.

Candidates can get it through online mode only. Candidates can match their KCET 2020 Answer Key from the official website. Candidates who are not satisfied with the answer and have any dispute can submit their objections to  “Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore” on the same date or after the date but before the last date of Answer key objection through in person or by Speed Post.

All the supporting documents are a while creating and submitting the objection.

After the evaluation of the Provisional answer key, The correct and the Final Answer Key will be published on the official website of the KEA. This event will be notified by the KEA to the Candidates.

KCET 2020 Result

The Result has been made known on 21st August 2020 by KCEA on the website.

For its copy to be shown while counseling, it will need to download it entering your roll no and date of birth. The cut-off will be produced by officials after the announcement of the Result. The scorecard will mention the aspirant’s name, roll no, and total marks. The KCET 2020 scores will be considered for participating in the admission procedures.

While counseling, it would be mandatory to get a copy of the scorecard along with verified documents as a shred of definite evidence. By performance of the candidates in the CET/NEET/NATA and the qualifying examination, the merit/rank list will be prepared and published by the KEA.

If there is any problem with the KCET 2020 Result, Candidates can raise the dispute and they will have to submit that through an email.

KCET 2020 Counselling

KCET 2020 Counselling will be started from 22nd November 2020. Students will be selected through the marks of KCET 2020. Officials will accept the students who have cleared KCET 2020 for admission. 

The seats will be provided according to the positions available at the college, selection of course, and scores gained in the examination. They will receive seats at the time of seat distribution.  

Counseling will be held through Online mode and the verification of the documents will be done through the 20 Helpline centers all over the state and then this will be done only after the complete announcement of the result and the Merit list.

The accessibility of seats to students will be through choices filled, KCET scores, and availability of the seats. The candidates will be allotted the seat by the availability of seats in the participating institutions/ universities. Candidates have to report to the allotted college after getting the allotment letter along with the original documents.

  • 10th and 12th Marksheet and passing certificate.
