Kerala Polytechnic 2018 Spot Admission is conducting on 14th & 15th September 2018.  Giving the Entrance test of Kerala Polytechnic, admission in various courses such as Diploma in Engineering/ Technology & Diploma in Commercial Practice/ Management is possible. Department of Technical Education, Kerala conduct Kerala Polytechnic admission every year.

Kerala Polytechnic entrance exam is a state level examination scheduled by DTE, Kerala. Candidate can apply for examination,  giving this exam candidate can get admission into various Govt. & Private Polytechnic Institutions and College of Kerala.

A candidate who score good in qualifying exams (10th/12th) will get admission. Authority will not conduct any separate examination for entrance exams to polytechnic courses.

Kerala Polytechnic Result 2018

Kerala Polytechnic Result 2018 has been released through online mode. It has been displayed in the form of the rank list. The authority publishes the provisional list & final rank list on the website.  It is published on 25th June 2018 (provisional) & 2nd July 2018 (final).

Kerala Polytechnic Application Form


The Kerala Polytechnic application form will be available to the candidate online.

  • The application has been released from 14th May to 21st June 2018.

So, filled application before the due date. Candidate will get application form through online, official portal of the board. Before filling application read instruction carefully, which is given below. The application has been released from 14th May to 21st June 2018.

Candidate must fill application form detail correctly if the candidate has written wrong detail in application it may lead to disqualification of the candidate so, fill application properly.

Online filling application and submission are possible through official portal. Keep one printout copy of application form for further needs. The candidate has to submit an application form to any government or private polytechnic colleges of the state.

Below is given information related to filling application form:

  • The application form will be submitted through online mode.
  • Students have to submit the single application form for various districts.
  • Separate applications are required to be filled in the following cases:
    • For regular seats in Government/Government Aided Programmes Government seats in Self Financing Programmes Special batch of Hearing Impaired (HI)
    • For the management seats under Aided programs to be submitted at respective Polytechnics
    • Under NCC quota
  • Under Sports Quota
  • Students have to submit the online application form on the website.
  • It is also required to take a printout of the filled-in application form for future records.

Application Fee: 


Candidate can pay application fees through online as well as offline. A candidate who wants to pay by the online process can pay by net banking/ credit/debit card & through e-Challan.

The candidate/category GEN/OBC has to pay  Rs.100/- and category of SC/ST candidate have to pay Rs. 50/- for the application. A candidate who didn’t fill application is requested to fill before the due date.

Below is given some information with table to understand properly about application fees:

  • The application fee is 100/- per district.
  • For SC/ ST candidates, it will be Rs.50/-.
  • If students submit the application for more than one district, then they have to pay Rs. 100 for each district. (Rs. 50/- each for SC/ST).

Documents to be submitted along with application form:

  • Self-attested copy of the Domicile Certificate.
  • Self-attested copies of Caste Certificate.
  • Self-attested copy of the Income Certificate.
  • Self-attested copy of the Medical Fitness Certificate.
  • Self-attested copy of the mark sheet of SSLC/THSLC or equivalent examination.

Eligibility Criteria


Candidate must know about eligibility criteria for taking admission into Kerala Polytechnic. Candidate compulsory should know about eligibility criteria, if fails to know then the candidate may face difficulty at the time of taking admission in Kerala Polytechnic.

Candidate must know basic information like a candidate should be an Indian citizen and should have valid domicile of Kerala state. Or candidate parent must from residential state/central/quasi-government/public sector of Kerala state.

The candidate is eligible for taking admission into Kerala Polytechnic commercial practice/management courses and Engineering/Technology, who have passed SSLC examination along with Maths or Science.

Here, students can check their eligibility for admission to polytechnic colleges in Kerala:

  • Nationality: Students must be an Indian citizen.
  • Domicile: Student should be a native of Kerala. OR Student should be passed the qualifying examination from the educational board of Kerala. OR The student’s parent should be a permanent employee in the government/public sector undertaking in Kerala state.
  • Qualifying Exam: Student should have passed SSLC/THSLC or equivalent examination from the Kerala state or any other recognized board.
  • Subjects: Students must qualify the qualifying examination in the subjects like Mathematics, Science, and English.
  • For CBSE/ICSE board students, marks secured in Science will be considered for calculating grade in Science in the place of Physics & Chemistry.

Kerala Polytechnic Admit Card


The admit card/hall cards will be released in 1st week of April. Candidate must bring Admit card/ hall card with them in the examination. If the candidate miss-place or didn’t bring hall ticket in board candidate will be not permitted to enter in examination hall.

It is Candidate responsibility to keep hall ticket safe till the completion of exams. Hall ticket contains candidate-related information such as candidate Roll No., Name, Address, Centre and ID proof.

Keep one print copy of admit card/hall ticket with them if in case it misses the place you can use further.

 

Kerala Polytechnic Answer Key


Answer key will be published by authority in official portal. Candidate can check Kerala Polytechnic answer key through online mode. Answer key will be released after the examination on 2nd week of May.

Answer key will help the candidate to get the rough idea about their performance in the examination. Candidate can also estimate their score to check he/she eligible for admission or not. According to the rough idea, a candidate can prepare for counseling and select the favorite collage candidate wants.

Kerala Polytechnic Cut-Off


The different college has different cut off marks according to category and courses. A candidate who scores good marks in Examination will be given admission Kerala Polytechnic. From cut off marks candidate will get a rough idea about how much more needed for qualifying.

Kerala Polytechnic Counselling will be started from 2nd week of June. Candidate will be invited according to merit list. Merit list is prepared according to candidate score in exams. The candidate has to fill all detail in application detail such as Name Address College and Courses Perceive Etc.

And also have to submit a right document with their photocopies for verification and registration. The seat will be allotted to the candidate as per the choice filled by students rank and availability of seats in the respective college.
