KSET 2018 Notification has been Released for Download Result. KSET (2018) stands for Karnataka State Eligibility Test. The KSET (Karnataka State Eligibility Test) is conducted by the University of Mysore.
The KSET is conducted for the Lecturer and the assistant professorship. There is a total of 32 subject specializations for which KSET Center conducts KSET for Lectureship.
KSET consists of three papers which are of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) types. The first paper completely focuses on the teaching and the aptitude and the second and the third paper focuses on subject specialization. KSET Application Form
The application form will be available online on the official portal of KSET. The Application has been Released on 23rd August 2018. Candidate can fill the application form of KSET exams through online on the official portal of the official website of the KSET (Mysore University).
The candidate must scan their passport size photo in JPEG format. The size of the photo must be 4.5cm x 3.5cm memory should not exceed 200 Kbytes. With these compulsory conditions, the candidate must upload their along with the proper and filled application form.
The detailed process for online or offline application form is given below:
- Download the application form and take the printout of it.
- Candidates must fill the application form in their handwriting.
- KSET 2018 Application has been Released on 23rd August 2018.
- The KSET 2018 Application can be Filled till29th September 2018.
- Candidates are required to fill all details in the application form carefully.
- Paste recent photograph in the application form.
- Attach all the required documents like DD, qualifying exam certificates, etc. with the application form.
- Candidates have to submit the application form at the notified locations (as per center opted), on specified dates, along with self-attested copies of required documents.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay Rs. 1050/- for the general category. If the candidate falls in these categories: Cat-IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, then the candidate will have to pay Rs. 850/- and if the candidate falls in the 3Cat-I, SC, ST, PWD(VH/PH) categories then the candidate will have to pay Rs.550/-.
Candidates have to pay the application fee before the due date. Late charged fees of Rs 150/- will be charged to candidates. Once payment is done, it will not be refunded back to candidates. Candidates can pay the application fees online through different modes. These modes include a credit card/debit card/net banking or bank challan.
The payment for application form can be via cash or online. The online payment is done through credit card/debit card/net banking/NEFT. The offline payment will be made at the cash counter. The candidate will be provided with the pay in the slip in any of the Canara bank cash counters only.
After filling of the application fees via any mode the candidate will get an e-challan, this is also provided by the Canara bank or a receipt generated via online payment on the web after the successful payment candidates can download the e-challan or the provided slip and take a printout of the attendance slip and admission card for the further procedure.
Below is given application form fees of KSET exams:
- The application fee of KSET 2018 will be Rs. 1050/- for general category candidates.
- The application fee of KSET 2018 will be Rs.850/- for Cat-IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB category candidates.
- The candidates also have to pay Rs. 550/- for 3Cat-I, SC, ST, PWD(VH/PH) category candidates.
- Candidates have to submit the application fee by making Demand Draft.
- The late fee will be charged if the candidate will fill the form after the last date of submission of application form.
KSET Eligibility Criteria 2018
The candidate has to check they are eligible for applying or not if the candidate didn’t know about the basic detail they can face difficulty at the time of the admission process. Candidate of the Indian citizen or Non-resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders are also eligible to apply. The minimum age of the applying candidate will be 17 and maximum he/she can apply till 25 years of their age.

KSET Exam Pattern 2019
As per board law candidate will not give extra time to complete paper. Candidate will ask objective type questions with multiple optional answers for each question.
The test will be consisting of two papers. Both the papers will consist of only objective type Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).

Paper-I: Shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying two marks. The questions which will be general, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
Paper-II: Shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying two marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
(Paper II will be covering entire syllabi of Paper II & Paper III of the previous scheme of the test (including all electives, without options).
The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper-I and Paper-II on the Optical Marks Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet.
KSET Result 2018
KSET exams will be published by the conducted authority through online, official portal. KSET 2018 Result has been released on 30th March 2019. No individual scorecard will be issued to candidates. The result will be available in pdf format candidates can download and view the result.
To see result candidates have to enter detail in official portal page for correct page type correct detail. If candidates type wrong detail on page website will show error. All the candidates those are shortlisted in the result will get called by the authority for the counseling process.

- By the result, the job will be provided, and then the candidates will be called for the selection procedure.
KSET 2018 Selection Process
After the result announcement, KSET selection process will start. Candidates have to fill and submit the application form on the official website of the KSET or other notified centers and obtain Acknowledgement card with registration number as a proof of form submission. The selection process will be held for lectureship or assistant professor job.
Admission will be done by candidates score marks in entrance exams. Candidate appearing counseling has to bring all required documents for registration and verification. If candidates have submitted incorrect document candidates admission will be canceled. Selected Candidates applying for Lectureship or assistant professor will have to face Group discussions, and PI (Personal Interview) and those who are selected should report the University on the given or specified time and date by the University.
The selection process will have some conditions which the candidate needs to fulfill to get the lectureship. The candidate will have to score good and according to the table (given below) in the candidate’s eligibility for lectureship is 40%. The detailed table is mentioned below:
