KVPY 2018 Final Result has been Declared on 24th April 2019. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) organizes a national level scholarship program which is known as Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY). It is conducted to encourage students for pursuing a research career in the field of basic sciences. This programme started in 1999 which is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

KVPY 2018 Result

KVPY 2018 Result will be Declared on 21st December 2018. Candidates can check their KVPY result through online mode. Candidates can take the printout of the result for future use. Candidates will be shortlisted for the further process after the result declaration.

KVPY Registration 2018

Candidates will be able to fill & submit the KVPY Application form 2018 through online mode. The application form details are given below.

  • There is no other mode to fill the application form.
  • Candidates can register for the KVPY exam from 11th July 2018.
  • The last date for KVPY 2018 Registration will be the 31st August 2018.
  • Candidates have to fill their personal and academic details, choose the test center & upload photograph, signature & other certificates as applicable.
  • Before filling the KVPY registration form, candidates must read the instruction carefully.
  • Keep the printout of the filled application form for future use.

KVPY 2018 Application Form 

  • Candidates can register for the KVPY exam from the 11 Jul 2018
  • Candidates can fill the form till the 31 Aug 2018.
  • The last date for KVPY application form submission will be the 31 Aug 20118

The application Fee

  • The application processing fee is Rs. 1000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PwD Category).
  • Candidates have an option to submit the fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or Challan.

Eligibility Criteria 2018

The KVPY eligibility criteria are given here:

  • Candidates should be Indian Citizen.
  • For Stream SA, Candidates have to complete their 10th class with Science & Mathematics subjects. They have to secure at least 80% marks (70% marks for SC/ST/PwD) aggregate in the qualifying examination.
  • For Stream SX, Candidates have to pass 10th class with minimum 80% marks (70% for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate in Mathematics & Science subjects. Candidates also have to qualify the 10+2 examination with Science subjects & secure at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD category) in aggregate.
  • For Stream SB, Candidates have to complete their 10+2 examination & obtain minimum 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate in Science Subjects. Candidates also have to pass their 1styear final examination & secure at least 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PwD).

KVPY Exam Pattern 2018

  • Date of Exam: The KVPY Exam will be held on 04 Nov 2018.
  • Mode of Exam: The entrance exam will be organized in online or offline mode.
  • Duration: The duration of the exam will be three hours.
  • Language: The medium of the question paper will be English & Hindi language.
  • Type of Questions: It is a multiple choice question paper.
  • Papers: The question paper divided into two parts: Part I & Part II.
  • Marks: The question paper will be 100 marks.

KVPY Admit card 2018

Candidates can download the KVPY admit card 2018 from the notification section. The admit card will be available in the second week of October, 2018. Candidates can download their admit card by using their registration number.

KVPY 2018 Selection Procedure

After the result announcement, the KVPY selection procedure 2018 will be started. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview round on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam. After the completion of the aptitude test & interview process, the fellowship will be given to the success.

  • Focus on the conceptualising of the subject (Physics, Chemistry Mathematics, Biology) rather than learning it.
  • Study thoroughly the previous year papers to get the pattern. This will help you in knowing the overview of the exam.
  • Go through the numerical and multiple choice questions given at the back side of the reference books, almost all reference books for class 11th,12th will have them.
  • You can crack the exam very easily if you have prepared well for JEE. Don’t forget to cover the topics of JEE main Syllabus because KVPY doesn’t have any “well defined” syllabus.

Books For KVPY Exam 2018.

  1. Physics : Concepts of Physics by D.C Verma and also refer to NCERT as mostly questions are modified but their root is NCERT books only.
  2. Chemistry: Chemistry is easier in comparison to other three subjects so do not go for any extra book other than NCERT ,for inorganic chemistry one can refer to O.P Tondon.
  3. Mathematics: For mathematics as well NCERT and R.D. Sharma will have multiple types of problem on on concept.
  4. Biology: NCERT books and Complete AIPMT Guide by MTG will help you score more than 60% in biology.
