MH CET Law 2018 Seat Allotment (5 years) has been released on 11th August 2018. MH CET Law is an abbreviation for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law (MH CET Law 2018) is a state-level entrance examination for law students conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. It is organized for admission in five-year integrated undergraduate law courses and two-year postgraduate law courses in the state law colleges which are affiliated with this.

MH CET Law 2018 Counselling Registration (3 years) has been started from 18th July 2018.  The MH CET Law will be conducted whose date will be specified by us soon. The admission to law colleges of India can be taken by qualifying MH CET Law. There are various law colleges in the state offering various LLB seats for the undergraduates and LLM seats for postgraduates of MH CET Law. The entrance exam that is MH CET Law will be conducted in offline mode. The Instructions, Rules, and regulations are decided by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra and in compliance with all the rules and regulations of MH CET Law authorities and the relevant Government orders in place.

There are certain criteria that the candidate needs to satisfy even after passing the examination MH CET Law. These are Eligibility Criteria and set as per the rules of government in MH CET Law and is the way to admission in LLB courses of the affiliated colleges.

MH CET Law Admission conducts entrance based admission to LLB and LLM courses. The admissions to postgraduate law colleges were taken on the basis of MH CET Law earlier. Candidates seeking admissions in the undergraduate and postgraduate law programs across the participating Indian law schools were needed to apply for MH CET Law India 2018 by May first week.

MH CET Law 2018 Application forms


MH CET Law application form is available in online mode. The University appoints authorities to conduct the centralized online counseling for the academic session of MH CET Law 2018-19. All the applicants are required to fill the form in order to appear for MH CET Law courses. MH CET Law exam or application form is released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. Once the candidate has registered for the law school admission test, a confirmation email will be sent to his/her registered mail account.

MH CET Law Eligibility Criteria


There is certain rules or conditions set by the official authority of the MH CET Law authorities which an applicant needs to satisfy to appear for the MH CET Law. The applicants can look for all the eligibility criteria one needs to satisfy and should contain all the documents proving that applicants satisfying those criteria.

Here are some of the criteria which an applicant should satisfy:

  • Indian National candidates are eligible to apply for this exam.
  • For LL.B (five-year) programs, students must have passed the 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board securing 45% marks for general and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates.
  • For LL.B (Three years) course, candidates must hold a graduate or post-graduate degree with obtaining minimum 45% marks for general candidate and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates.
  • To be eligible for LLB program, the candidate must have completed their qualification in the pattern 0of 10+2+3.
  • Students who are appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

 

Reservation for MH CET Law


The reservation for the candidates who are from different categories has different rules set by MH CET Law. The rules and regulations are defined by the MH CET Law. All the candidates must strictly follow the rules defined by the MH CET Law for UG or PG courses.

NOTE: The candidate should note that the in-case of any discrepancy the candidate’s admission will be canceled and the seat will not be given to the candidate instead will be allotted to any other candidate.

MH CET Law Result


The merit list will be prepared on the basis of MH CET Law score. The MH CET Law Result 2018 will be declared on 7th May 2018 (For 5-year courses) & 29th June 2018 (For 3-year courses). The result will consist of the merit list by marks of the candidates. The candidates will be called by merit list for the counseling. The MH CET Law authority releases result for different courses provided by the university. The Result of MH CET Law has been announced by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. The test scores and result of State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra will be reported on a percentile basis. As per MH CET Law India 2018 result, each test-takers’ performance will be compared to others of candidates group, classified as the five-year integrated undergraduate and two-year post graduate.

The correct number of questions answered by the candidate will decide the result. There will be a total of 150 questions and candidate will be able to tick maximum correct out of it. Applicants should download the result and should preserve the score till the admission procedure is complete for further use in MH CET Law.

MH CET Law Counselling


MH CET Law counseling will be started from 25th June 2018 (5-year law course). The applicants scored marks, which are above the cutoff, are eligible for the admission procedure in the MH CET Law and after that counseling procedure starts. The list will be released for the candidates who get selected for the admission procedure through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The counseling for various courses will be held in the second week of June 2018. until the last week of June 2018. The counseling will be conducted via offline mode. The counseling for AILET is conducted by the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for Maharashtra law schools.

 All the candidates will be assigned a center for the counseling process and candidates have to report to their respective center and on the given date by the authorities of MH CET Law. Candidates will also have to present a list of official documents for verification and xerox copies of the same for submission. Candidates should ensure they submit only the correct information at the time of MH CET Law Counselling process as it will be used for their seat verification.

The counseling is done by rank provided to the candidate. The counseling will be by the candidate’s rank. When the candidates are called for the counseling procedure, the candidates have to take original documents with them. The papers will go through the verification process by the authorities. There will be numerous seats available for the LLB counseling to be filled by the candidates by clearing MH CET Law entrance examination.

After the successful tests and verification, the candidate can appear for the admission in the MH CET Law. It is important for the candidate to be present physically for the counseling and if the candidates fail to be present on the day of the counseling than the candidate’s seat will be canceled. Nowadays as provided by the online option the candidate can choose and fill their preferences of colleges and courses online in the official website of MH CET Law.

The seats are allotted purely by marks secured in the entrance exam and merit list prepared on that marks. The MH CET Law counseling will be done in offline mode only.

Candidates will be required to produce the following documents in original with two sets of self-attested photocopies at the time of admission.

MH CET Law Exam Pattern


 Different academic courses have different exam pattern offered by the Institute. The exam MH CET Law conducted by Maharashtra Government will announce the exam pattern for India differently. The undergraduate entrance exam will be based on OMR examination. The exam will be offline that is it will be a pen paper based examination. The duration of the examination of MH CET Law will be for 120 minutes. There will be the total of 150 questions which will be multiple choice questions (objective based). The MH CET Law Examination will be standard for the entrance examination. The candidate will be awarded one marks for the correct answer, and there will be NO negative marking.
  • Exam Date: Examination for 3-years LL.B. program was held on the third week of May 2018, and for 5-years LL.B. program, the examination was conducted in the third week of  May 2018.
  • Exam Mode: The examination was organized in online mode (computer-based test).
  • Question Paper Type: The question paper contained objective type questions with four options.
  • Paper Language: The question paper was asked in English and Marathi language.
  • Exam Duration: The exam duration was two hours (120 minutes).
  • Sections: The question paper was comprised of different sections such as Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge of Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English and Mathematical Aptitude.
  • Number of Questions: Total 150 questions was asked in the examination of 1 mark each.
  • Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in this exam.

  • English – The section consists of questions focusing various areas including Vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, analogies etc.), Proficiency (idioms and phrases, one word substitution, improvement and rearrangement of sentences, fill in the blanks, etc.), English usage errors (common errors, spotting errors in sentence, inappropriate usage of words, spelling mistakes etc.) and English comprehension and passages.
  • General Knowledge with Current Affairs – The questions from this section include topics such as History (Ancient, Medieval and Modern), Geography, General Science, Economics, and Civics, besides issues from the last one year mentioned as Current Affairs. The objective of this section is to assess candidates’ knowledge of recent happenings and awareness of the world.
  • Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning – The section tests candidates’ interest towards study of law and thus comprises questions concerning legal aptitude and problem-solving abilities. The questions are framed with the help of legal prepositions and set of facts to which the said prepositions need to be applied. Some prepositions may not be true in the real sense and candidates need to assume fact of these prepositions (prepositional truth) and answer the questions drawing well supported conclusions.
  • Logical and Analytical Reasoning – The section tests candidates’ ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It includes questions relating to wide analogies, completing arguments, drawing well-supported conclusions, reasoning by analogies, applying principles and rules. Further, the objective of this section is to measure the ability to understand the structure, relationship and to draw logical conclusions about the structures. It includes reasoning from set of statements and rules and principles that describes the relationship among persons, things or events.
  • Mathematical Aptitude – This section is to test the candidates’ interest for Mathematics which would broadly include the numerical ability. The Mathematical questions will be of standard 10thincluding various topics like profit and loss, speed and distance, time and work, algebra, average, and Venn diagram.
