The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) is the state-level Examination managed through Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, to select the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in universities/ colleges of Maharashtra and Goa. MH SET exam is conducted in 32 subjects under the faculties of Arts; Commerce; Science; Management; Law; Mental, Moral and Social Sciences; Education and Physical Education. A large number of candidates give this entrance exam every year.

  • The Date of Application Correction has been started from 8th to 12th December 2023.
  • The applicants must visit the Savitribai Phule Pune University’s official web page.
  • Candidates should register by submitting the required details in the required field.
  • The username and password will be provided to the candidates, who can fill out the Application Form with all the correct and complete details.
  • They should have checked all the details in the Application Form before submitting it.
  • In the Application Form, applicants have to upload a Scanned Photo and Signature where they have to select the image files for their passport-size photo (Maximum size: 50kb JPG or JPEG File) and Signature (Max size: 30kb JPG or JPEG File).
  • Applicants must submit the Application Form; after that, they should take the printout for future use.

The Application Fee for MH SET is

  • For Open Category – Rs. 800/-
  • For OBC/SBC/DT (A)/NT(B)/NT(C)/NT(D)(Non-Creamy Layer Category only)/ SC/ST/PH/VH – Rs. 650/-
  • A challan should pay the Exam fees at any HDFC Bank or Bank of Maharashtra branch.

MH SET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check their Eligibility Criteria for the Maharashtra SET Examination if they fill out the Application Form. Candidates can complete the Application Form by following the simple steps below.

  • Master’s Degree recognizedMaster’sstudent’s Post Graduate distudent’stificate awarded by an Indian University/Institute or Foreign Degree/Diploma/Certificate given by the Foreign University/Institute
  • The students with SC/ST/OBC/SBC/DT/NT category, obtaining 55% marks in Master’s or related exams, Master’sible for this test. OBC/SBC/DT/NT from the non-creamy layer and SC/ST/PH/VH (PH & VH-Visually, i.e., Blind) category aspirants obtaining 50% marks in Masters or related exam wMaster’sonsidered for the exam.
  • The aspirants who have qualified for or have qualified for their final master’s degree exam and wmaster’sult is yet to be declared will be considered.
  • Those candidates from other states (other than Maharashtra and Goa) belonging to reserved categories (like SC/ST/OBC/SEBC) shall be treated as Open/Unreserved categories per the Maharashtra and Goa States’ rules.
  • There is no upper age limit to apply for this test.

MH SET 2023 Exam Pattern

The Maharashtra SET Exam consists of Paper-I, II, and III. The three papers’ examiExaminations would be held one day, in two separate sessions.

  • Mode of exam: The Exam will be done through Offline Mode.
  • Duration of Exam: The exam will be 3 hours, i.e., Paper I will be 1 hour and Paper II will be 2 hours.
  • Type of question: The exam will be held objectively.
  • No. of Papers: The test will consist of three papers.
  • No. of Questions: Paper I Shall Consist of 50 MCQs Type questions, and Paper II shall consist of 100 MCQ Types Questions.
  • No. of Marks: The Total Marks of Exam Paper I & II is approximately 100 & 200.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking.
  • Marking Scheme: Each Question carries 2 Marks.
  • Sessions: All three papers will consist of only objective-type questions and will be held on the day of the ExamiExaminationwo separate sessions.

Maharashtra SET Preparation Tips

Here are a few preparation tips for the Maharashtra SET examination mentioned for the candidates. Candidates should have read the topics of all subjects by making short notes daily as per time table.

They do not have to skip any chapter. Prefer Exam Pattern, Syllabus, and previous year’s question paper to year’s better preparation.

MH SET 2023 Admit Card 

MH SET 2023 Admit Card will be available on September 2023. Only valid details will be acceptable, including registration no and password, during downloading at the website.

The students can download the admit card and successfully register for the exam with the complete payment process.

The students will have to bring it to the exam venue at the correct time of the exam. Admit Cards will be provided online to all candidates ten days before the exam date on the official page of MH SET.

The Admit Card will be available on 16th March 2023. The authority will provide Maharashtra SET Admit Card to the candidates; who have successfully submitted their Application Forms.

It is informed to retain a copy of the Hall Ticket for the exam, which will be helpful if the original text is misplaced.

The admit card contains essential details such as exam date and time, venue and day, roll no of the student, seat no, etc.

Candidates can download the admit card by submitting a username and password in the required field. The applicants without admit cards will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
