MU OET Exam 2018-19
MU OET is an abbreviation for Manipal University Online Entrance Test. It is a University level entrance exam for undergraduate engineering. This exam is conducted by Manipal University. Each year there are 50,000 aspirants who appear for MU OET for the admission in Bachelor of Engineering. Not only undergraduate but also Postgraduate courses are provided by this University in the field of engineering, pharmacy, and many others.
Manipal University conducts this exam in various cities across the country. Admissions are offered to those students who successfully clear the entrance examination in the various institutes of Manipal University. These Universities are Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, Manipal University Jaipur and Sikkim.
Manipal University conducts MUOET in online mode from last week of April to mid of May. These dates are tentative and since exams are conducted consistently aspirants can choose the date which is convenient to them.

MU OET admit card is available online for the candidates after the aspirants are done with slot booking of their preference. Admit card of MU OET is required throughout the process of Admission and acts as identity proof. This document is very important till admission is over. After booking the slot for MU OET, the admit card is available for the aspirant within 24 hours. Aspirants can download theirs admit card from the official website of MU OET.
Tentative Date for Admit card to be present on the official website is in Mid of May. This card will contain the name of the aspirant, roll number, details of the exam, centre of the examination, time and date of the examination, applied course, etc.
Print outs of the Admit card are must and aspirants are requested to a carry the printout the Admit card with them to the examination centre.

Application Form for MU OET
Application form for MU OET is available online from the starting of November 2018. Aspirants can fill the Application form till Mid-April, 2019. It is mandatory to fill the Application form in order to seat for the MU OET.

Eligibility Criteria for MU OET
Eligibility criteria of MU OET 2018-19 is set by the authority of Manipal University. These criteria must be fulfilled by the aspirants who want to take admission in the different courses in Manipal University.
Aspirants appearing for MU OET must have to pass and secure 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics, any other subject in XI and XII or A Level or IB or American 12th grade or equivalent.
Physics, Mathematics, and English are the compulsory subjects with Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or any optional technical vocational subject.

Exam Pattern for MU OET
MU OET exam pattern gives an idea about how questions will be asked and what is the pattern of the question paper. Aspirants are provided with the brief idea of the various aspects of entrance exam, MU OET. Various aspects are the total number of questions, type of questions asked in the actual test, mode of the exam, marking scheme, weighage given to different sections and subjects, time duration of the test, etc.

- Duration: The exam duration is two and half hours.
- Type: The question paper is comprised of multiple choice questions.
- Language: The exam is organized in the English language.
- Mode of Exam: The test is conducted through CBT (Computer Based Test) mode.
- Marking Scheme: For M.Tech & M.Sc Tech, 4 marks are given for each correct answer & for other courses, 1 marks are allotted for correct response.
- Negative Marking: For M.Tech & M.Sc Tech, one mark is deducted for the incorrect answer & for other courses, no negative marking.
The result of MU OET
MU (Manipal University) OET results are available online in the last week of May, for those aspirants who have taken the entrance exam – MU OET. Result of Manipal University is released in the form of Merit list of aspirants for admission to B.Tech programme at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, Manipal University Jaipur and Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim.
Aspirants will have All India Rank (AIR). The aspirant with the highest rank will get the admission in the college or location his/her own preference. Higher the rank more will be the preference.
The score card is generally available for download from the official website of the MU(Manipal University) in the starting of the May.
Aspirants are requested to take out the printout of the results.
Counselling for MU OET
Counselling process for MU OET (Manipal University Online Entrance Test) will start in the month of June for the B.Tech courses.
Aspirants are requested to chose for their counselling venue at the same time when they will select their exam slot. Official website of the University will contain venue and schedule.
All the candidates will be called according to their ranks and will be given the choice from the available seats. The counselling of MU OET will tentatively be conducted in 4 rounds with a spot round for admissions to B.Tech programs available at the participating institutes of MU OET.

Cut off for MU OET
Cut off means the minimum score that will be required to take admission or be eligible to take admission in the particular university which sets the cutoff.
All the aspirants wish to give this exam have to pay application fees of Rs 600 whereas Rs 1400 will be the entrance exam fees.
