NEET MDS 2024 Results has been declared on 3rd April 2024. The Score Card is Available after the result declaration. The NEET MDS Entrance Examination is the National Level Medical Entrance Test conducted through the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to offer admission to candidates in the Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) course.

In India’s various governments, private, deemed, and central universities, admission will be provided to the candidates. Those eligible candidates who wish to get admission to the MDS course can apply for this examination by filling out the application form online by visiting the official website.

The Eligibility Criteria for participation in counselling towards allotment of MDS seats conducted by DGHS or State Counseling Authority shall be by MDS Course Regulations, 2019, notified by DCI with prior approval of MoHFW, Govt. of India.

The NEET MDS 2024 Result is announced on April 3, 2024. The Validity of NEET-MDS 2024 Result

The validity of the result of NEET-MDS 2024 shall be only for the current admission session 2024 for MDS courses and cannot be carried forward for the next session of admissions for MDS courses.

Tie Breaker Criteria

In the event of two or more candidates obtaining the same marks, the merit position shall be determined using the following tiebreaker criteria in descending order:

  1. The candidate with fewer incorrect responses in the overall paper (Part A & B) shall be given higher merit.
  2. Candidates with a higher score in Part B of the question paper shall be placed in a higher merit position.
  3. A candidate with fewer incorrect responses in Part B of the paper shall be placed in a higher merit position.
  4. Failing which, the candidate’s date of birth will be considered. The older candidates will be placed in a better merit position.

Percentile v/s Percentage

A percentile rank tells how well a candidate did compared to others, while a percentage rank explains how well a candidate did in the test. Percentile never gives the details of the marks you have scored. Instead, it just tells you about your merit.

Note: Possession/Use of Mobile Phones/Electronic Devices is strictly prohibited on the premises of the NBE Examination Centre. Candidates shall be liable for penal action for Possession/Use of Mobile Phones/Electronic Devices.

  • A position among the candidates who have appeared in the test with you. For example, a candidate might answer 85 per cent of questions correctly and rank in the 99th percentile, which means that the percentile is not related to the percentage of correct answers a student gets on a test.
  • Percentile ranks are commonly used to clarify the interpretation of marks on standardized tests. For example, a test mark greater than or equal to 80% of candidates taking the test is said to be at the 80th percentile, where 80 is the percentile rank.
  • The percentage of marks is calculated based on the marks obtained out of the maximum marks in the test. For example, a test mark of 75% with a test with a maximum mark of 1000 indicates a mark of 750. The percentage of marks is not affected by the candidate’s merit position compared to other candidates who took the test.

All India’s 50% quota rank

  • This is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET MDS 2024 and are eligible for All India 50% quota counselling and is valid only for All India 50% quota MDS Courses (2024 admission session).

All India 50% quota Category Rank

  • This is the overall merit position of the candidate in the category (OBC/SC/ST) as opted by the candidate in the NEET – MDS 2024 amongst the candidates of the same category who are eligible for All India 50% quota counselling and are valid only for All India 50% quota MDS Courses. (2024 admission session).

Result For All India 50% Quota Seats

The mark sheet-cum-result certificate for NEET-MDS 2024 Examination – All India 50% Quota can be downloaded from the website nbe.edu.in after the result declaration.

The result of only candidates eligible to participate in the All India 50% quota counselling 2024 based on eligibility criteria provided by the Medical Counseling Committee and Directorate General of Health Services / MoHFW shall be declared under the All India 50% Quota list.

As a result of this clarification, a candidate may qualify for NEET-MDS 2024 as per the criteria mentioned in para 13.1. Still, it is not on the list of candidates eligible for counselling for All 50% quota seats based on eligibility criteria provided by MCC/DGHS/ MoHFW. Such the candidate is, however, eligible to be considered for counselling for State quota seats following applicable regulations, qualifying criteria, applicable guidelines, and state reservation policies.

  • Candidates securing less than the 50th percentile (40th in case of SC/ST/OBC and 45th in case of PH candidates) in NEET-MDS will not be considered for admission to MDS courses, and no merit position or rank shall be given to such candidates.
  • 5% seats of the annual sanctioned intake capacity are filled up by persons with benchmark disabilities by the provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, based on the merit list of the National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses.
  • To be eligible for admission to Postgraduate Courses for an academic year, it shall be necessary for a person with benchmark disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks of 45th percentile for General Category and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Courses.
  • There is no provision for rechecking/re-evaluation/re-totalling of the result/ mark; no query in this regard will be entertained.

Result For State Quota Seats

State quota seats in All Dental Institutions in a State and seats in institutions established by the State Govt., Universities established by an Act of the State/Union Territory Legislature, Municipal Bodies Trust, Society, Company or Minority Institutions shall be filled by utilizing the list of NEET-MDS. No state government / private medical colleges/ universities, including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir, shall be conducting an entrance exam at their level.

  • NBE shall provide only the data of candidates and their marks in NEET-MDS 2024 to the State Government/Counseling Authority without applying eligibility criteria, reservation criteria, etc., of the concerned states. State quota rank, state category rank, a benefit for In-service candidates, rural posting (if applicable), etc., shall be determined/ generated by the designated agency/authority of the concerned States/UTs/concerned authority as per applicable Regulations, eligibility criteria, guidelines, and applicable reservation policies.
  • NBE shall not prepare the merit list for State quota seats / Private Dental Colleges / Universities.
  • Different states have different eligibility criteria and reservation policies. State Government / Counseling authorities are requested to create their application form customized to their requirements to determine the eligibility of the candidates.

for opting for seats in the concerned state based on their eligibility criteria, reservation policies, the benefit to in-service candidates, and benefits to candidates who have undergone rural/difficult area postings.

  • NBE does not verify the information the candidates provided during the online application form submission. Hence, the candidature will be purely provisional subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in the Information Bulletin for NEET-MDS 2024 & criteria of the concerned State/Universities/Institutions.
  • Candidates must verify from the respective State Government/UTs if they will be considered for admission to State Quota Post Graduate seats/Institute Pool based on applicable Regulation and domicile criteria, State/Institute of Graduation, reservation policy, etc. Merely appearing/passing in NEET-MDS 2024 does not make a candidate qualified and eligible for State Quota Seats/admission to Private Universities and institutes.
