NEST Counselling 2020The (National Entrance Screening Test) NEST is a compulsory test for admission to the 5-year Integrated M.Sc. program in basic sciences – Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics – at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and CBS are autonomous institutions established by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, in 2007.

These institutes have started with the mandate to provide high-quality teaching in basic sciences by a faculty of distinguished scientists embedded in a vibrant research environment and to create a national pool of scientists ready to take up research challenges in the frontiers of basic and applied sciences.

The Integrated M.Sc. program at these institutes follows a semester-based course structure and continuous assessment within a flexible and innovative academic curriculum, exposing the students to research early in their program. The placements of the graduated students from NISER and CBS provide testimony of success to this initiative.

NEST 2020 Exam Date

NEST Application Form 2020

Applying candidates can check the NEST Registration 2019 details from below:

  • First, candidates have to register themselves with a valid user email ID on the website.
  • In the next step, candidates have to fill their basic details. After this, an application number will be generated for further login.
  • Scanned images of signature and photograph (maximum 100 KB) will be uploaded by the candidate in JPEG format.
  • Before the final submission of the application form, candidates are informed to verify all the details filled by them.
  • Make the fee payment via the online process.
  • Don’t forget to take the printout of the application form for further use.

Details Only bonafide students registered in colleges are eligible for this scholarship

Academic Qualification:

NEST 1: The first and second-year students of Engineering, MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS, BCA and B.Sc all, 12th Science, Diploma Engineering (only final year students)

NEST 2: The third and fourth-year students of Engineering, MBBS/BHMS/BAMS/BUMS/BDS, BCA and B.Sc (Only computer and IT)

 Not Eligible to participate:

Anyone who tops the list in a category cannot apply again in the same category

Anyone who has won the top prize in the previous year CANNOT appear again in the same category

NEST Scholarship Selection Process

  • The students would be selected on the basis of online test
  • The test will be held in January 2020

NEST Scholarship Exam Syllabus

NEST Scholarship Exam is specifically organized for estimating the options, ability, skills, and interests, which are a vital part of the student’s education.
