NHTETThe NHTET 2021 is an entrance exam which is known as the National Hospitality Teachers Eligibility Test. The NHTET 2021 entrance exam will be organized by the NCHMCT (National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology). The NCHMCT is formally known as the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology. The NHTET 2021 entrance exam is organized every year at a national level by the official authorities.

NHTET 2021 Application Form

NHTET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The applicants will get complete information about the NHTET 2021 Eligibility Criteria set by the official authorities mentioned below in this section.

  • Nationality: Citizen of India are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
  • Age limit for General Category Applicants: The applicants who want to apply for the Teaching Associates must be below the age of 30 years at the time of admission.
  • Age limit for General Category Applicants: The applicants who want to apply for the Assistant Lecturer must be below the age of 35 years at the time of admission.
  • Age limit for OBC Category Applicants: The applicants must be not more than 33 years of age at the time of admission to apply for the Teaching Associates.
  • Age limit for OBC Category Applicants: Such applicants must be not more than 38 years of age at the time of admission to apply for the Assistant Lecturer post.
  • Age limit for SC / ST / PWD Category Applicants: The applicants who are not more than 35 years of age are eligible to apply for the Teaching Associates.
  • Age limit for SC / ST / PWD Category applicants: One must be not more than 40 years of age at the time of admission to apply for the Assistant Lecturer post.
  • Educational Qualification:
  • For the entrance exam, only those applicants are eligible to apply who have completed a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration / Hotel Management from any recognized university or institution.
  • Those applicants who have completed a full-time Master’s degree in Hospitality Administration / Hotel Management from a recognized university or institution are also eligible to apply.
  • Minimum Marks: The applicants must have secured at least 55 % marks or more in the qualifying exam to get eligible for the entrance exam.
  • Experience: The applicants must hold experience of a minimum of two years in the Hospitality Industry after completing their graduation degree.

NHTET 2021 Exam Pattern

The applicants are requested to go through the details that we have provided below in this section regarding the NHTET 2021 Exam Paper Pattern of the entrance exam. In the below section the applicants will be able to get the details of the entrance exam such as the mode of the exam, duration of the exam, the language of the exam, the total number of questions, total marks, type of questions, marking scheme and negative markings.

  • Mode of Exam: The entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode as a written test.
  • Mode of appearing: The applicants need to appear for the entrance exam using the Black or Blue ball pen.
  • Method of Exam: The applicants will have to appear for the entrance exam in OMR sheets.
  • Duration of Exam: 4 hrs duration will be provided to the applicants in total to solve the entire question paper of the entrance exam. (2 hrs for each session)
  • Language of Exam: In the English language the applicants need to solve the entire question paper of the entrance exam.
  • Total Number of Questions: In the entrance exam, the applicants need to appear a maximum of 200 questions in total in the question paper of the entrance exam. (100 questions for each Session)
  • Total Marks: The question paper of the entrance exam will contain a maximum of 400 marks. (200 marks for each session)
  • Type of Questions: The question paper of the entrance exam will contain objective type multiple choice questions only.
  • Marking Scheme: The applicants will get 2 marks each for the correct answers given in the entrance exam.
  • Negative Marking: In the entrance exam, 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer given by the applicants.
  • Number of Sessions: The entrance exam will be divided into two sessions that is Session I and Session II.
  • Number of Paper: The question paper of the entrance exam will contain a total of three papers (Session I will contain two papers that is Paper I and Paper II while Session II will contain only one paper that is Paper III).

NHTET 2021 Preparation Tips

NHTET 2021 Admit Card

The applicants will have to visit the official website of the university to get the NHTET 2021 Admit Card. The applicants are instructed to carry their NHTET 2021 Admit Card along with original ID proof at the examination center.

The applicants must download the NHTET 2021 Admit Card from the official website and should also take some copies of the NHTET 2021 Admit Card.

The applicants who will not carry the NHTET 2021 Admit Card will not be eligible to enter the examination center. The applicants are instructed to keep the NHTET 2021 Admit Card safe till the completion of the admission process.

The applicants must also check all the details mentioned in the NHTET 2021 Admit Card before the date of the entrance exam.

NHTET 2021 Answer Key

The applicants who have appeared for the entrance exam must go through the details that we have provided below in this section regarding the NHTET 2021 Answer Key.

The official authorities will release the NHTET 2021 Answer Key of the eligibility test on the official website of the university in online mode for the reference of the applicants.

The applicants need to use their credentials to check the NHTET 2021 Answer Key from the official website. The applicants will have to send proper documentary proof via email to the [email protected] to file an objection.

The applicants can challenge the NHTET 2021 Answer Key within 4 days of the releasing date if they will find any error in the NHTET 2021 Answer Key.

After the completion of the re-evaluation, the official authorities will release the final NHTET 2021 Answer Key on the official website of the university again for the reference of the applicants.

The official authorities will then set an expert committee for – evaluating the NHTET 2021 Answer Key. Then the official authorities will prepare NHTET 2021 Results based on the final NHTET 2021 Answer Key.

NHTET 2021 Results

In the below section the applicants will be able to get the details of the NHTET 2021 Results of the eligibility test. The official authorities will shortlist the eligible applicants for the further recruitment process based on the NHTET 2021 Results.

The applicants who will be securing more than the cur off marks of the year will be considered eligible for the post of Assistant Lecturer and Teaching Associates post in different institutions.

The applicants who will qualify for the eligibility test with more than the cut off marks will receive a certificate from the institution.

The official authorities will send a detailed mark sheet – cum – certificate to the qualified applicants. The mark sheet – cum – the certificate will be valid for the time period as mentioned on the same by the official authorities.

The applicants who will receive the certificate can then apply for the post of Assistant Lecturer / Teaching Associates in the NCHM (National Council of Hotel Management or any other institution which is affiliated with the IHMs.

NHTET 2021 Cut Offs
