NIMCET 2018 Counseling Notification has been Released. NIMCET stands for NIT MCA Common Entrance Test and it is a national level entrance test in India for admission into a master of computer application (MCA) programme offered by all NITs of the country.
National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur organized NIMCET exams on a rotation basis. The candidate will get admission on the basis of score marks in NIMCET Examination. Candidate can get admission in MCA course of NITs on their performance in the exam. Various government & private colleges and universities except for the score of NIT MCET exam.
NIT’s such as Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Tiruchirappalli, Warangal, etc give admission to the candidate. Every year lakhs of the candidate take admission and appear for NIM CET exam.

NIMCET Answer Key 2018
Candidate can check out answer key OF NIMCET through online, official portal of authority. The answer key will be released by the authority after the examination over. Candidate can estimate marks and roughly check question answer written in the examination.
This will help the candidate to roughly check their marks/score of Entrance exams. This will help candidates to prepare for further steps.
NIMCET Result 2018
Candidate can download rank card through online, official portal of authority. The result will be released in the second week of June. Rank list will be prepared according to scored marks by the candidate in the examination.
Candidates are advised to keep printed copies of result for further use and admission process. To see result candidate have to type Roll number and birth of date in official; portal if, in case candidate type wrong detail page will show error. Candidate can save the page in laptop/computer or can take the screenshot on the phone.
- A rank list will be prepared according to the marks secured in the exam.
- Revaluation will not be entertained in any circumstances.
- In the month of June 2018, candidates can download the rank card through the website

NIMCET Counseling 2018
Candidates who are interested can download the letter of counseling from the official site. Admission will be given into MCA programme offered by NITs to deserving candidate who score good marks in exam.
After the seat allotment candidate have to report to college to confirm admission. Candidate are requested to carry original required document with them for verification and registration. If in case candidate give incorrect document for registration and found in scrutiny then admission of candidate will be cancelled.
More detail are given below:
- The Counseling will be started in the month of June 2018.
- Students according to their rank in the rank list will be invited for counseling process.
- Candidates have to fill their choices of colleges for admission.
- For providing admission, seats will be allotted as per the candidate’s rank, availability of seats in colleges & filled choices.
NIMCET Admit Card 2018
NIMCET Hall Ticket 2018 will be issued from 15th May 2018. Admit card is a mandatory document it contain candidate related information for example candidate name address roll number center, etc. It is Candidates responsibility to keep safe their hall ticket/admit card till the completion of exams.
If candidate didn’t brought the hall ticket at the time of exam candidate will not be permitted to attain paper. Candidates are advices to keep printed copies of hall ticket for further ruse and verification.
Hall ticket will not be sent by post or by authority to any candidates in his reside3ntial address. Candidate can download their admit card who successfully submitted all document in office.
- Successfully registered candidates can download their Admit Card through online mode.
- Candidates will not be permitted to sit in the examination, without producing the valid admit card.
- The admit card will contain exam related details like candidate’s name, exam centre, roll number, etc.
NIMCET Application Form 2018
Candidates can fill the application form through online no offline mode is available for filling application. NIMCET 2018 application form will be available on 1st March 2018.
Fill application form before the due date, after the due date application form will be not accepted for registration. As given the instruction fill all detail in the application. Candidate are advised to keep printed copies of filled application form for further use.

- First of all, applicants can apply through online
- Applicants should register with login, password and then fill all the details.
- Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
- Pay the required application fee through online mode.
- After successful completion of application form, a complete application form with a unique application number will be generated.
- Take a printout of the generated application form and send it along with all relevant documents by Speed Post/Registered Post to the address mentioned below:

Application Fee:
Application fees can be paid through online. Candidates can pay by, net banking, credit card (Visa/Master/American Express)/ Debit card (Visa/Master) or can remit by any bank of India. Once it is transfer or paid fees by candidate it will not be refunded.
Candidate category wise application fees is charge to candidate below is given table nd detail about application fees:
- The application fee is non-refundable in any circumstances.
- The application fee for OPEN/OBC will be 1, 800/-and Rs. 900/- for SC/ST.
- Application fee can be paid through Credit card/Debit card/Net banking.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must know eligibility criteria of NIM CET exam. Candidate fail to know eligibility criteria and candidate face difficulty at the time of admission process. Candidate should know basic think like candidate appearing in qualifying exams can also apply but candidate has to submit copies as a proof of appearing at the time of counseling/admission.
Candidate passed their degree from recognized university or college are also eligible for admission.More detail are provided below related to eligibility criteria oof NIM CET.
The eligibility criteria for NIMCET are given as follows:
- Qualifying Exam:Applicants should hold B.Sc / B.Sc (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum 3 years full-time OR B.E / B.Tech or equivalent from a recognized University.

Open Universities Candidates: Students who have completed B.Sc / B.Sc (Hons)/BCA/ BIT of 3 years from Open Universities are also eligible to apply.

Appearing Candidates:The applicants those appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

Minimum Marks:Indian National applicants must secure a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% marks or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC, ST).

Age Limit:There is no age limit to appear in the exam.
NIMCET Exam Pattern
Candidate go through Exams pattern, syllabus of NIM CET it will help in studies. Candidate will be given 2 hours to complete their paper no extra time will be given to any candidate. Candidate has to use blue or black ink ball pen while writing paper in exam. Language of mode will be of English language.
Paper will contain total 120 objective type questions. Candidate will be given 4 option from that you have select one correct answer. For each correct response candidate will be given four marks. Take a look at Detail provided below:
The exam pattern details are given below:
- Duration:The exam duration was 2 hours (120 minutes).
- Answering Mode:Candidates are required to use only blue or black or blue ink ball point pen to mark their answers.
- Language:The question paper language was English only.
- of Questions: The question paper was comprises of total 120 objective type questions.
- Four optional answers was given for each question.
- Marking Scheme: Total four marks is provided for each correct response.
- Negative Marking: one mark is deducted for each incorrect response.
Unanswered response is not be considered for negative marking. The NIMCET exam pattern is as following:

Mathematics:

Set Theory:Concept of sets – Union, Intersection, Cardinality, Elementary counting; permutations and combinations.
- Probability and Statistics:Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, measures of central tendencies and dispersions.
- Algebra:Fundamental operations in algebra, expansions, factorization, simultaneous linear / quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, determinants and matrices.
- Coordinate Geometry:Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, distance formulae, equation of a line, and intersection of lines, pair of straight lines, equations of a circle, parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola.
- Calculus:Limit of functions, continuous function, differentiation of function, tangents and normals, simple examples of maxima and minima. Integration of functions by parts, by substitution and by partial fraction, definite integrals, applications of definite integrals to areas.
- Vectors:Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics.
- Trigonometry:Simple identities, trigonometric equations properties of triangles, solution of triangles, heights and distances, general solutions of trigonometric equations.
Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning:

Computer Awareness:

Computer Basics:Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), structure of instructions in CPU, input/output devices, computer memory, and back-up devices.
- Data Representation:Representation of characters, integers and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, binary arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, simple arithmetic & two complement arithmetic, floating point representation of number, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams.
General English:

Questions in this section is designed to test the candidates general understanding of the English language. There are questions on the following topics: Comprehension, vocabulary, Basic English Grammar (like usage of correct forms of verbs, prepositions and articles), word power, synonyms and antonyms, meaning of words and phrases, technical writing.
