The Application Form is completed after the submission of the fee which has to be followed through a link present at the website. Before you are ready to apply for the NIMCET 2020 Application Form, aspirants will need to check the various steps in the application.

  • The online Registration of NIMCET 2020 will take place in March 2020.
  • The record will be over by the end of April.
  • Provide all the essential details in the Application Form including personal details (aspirant’s name, date of birth, gender, category, residence, nationality) and academic qualification.
  • Apart from that, they need to enter the name of MCA courses you are willing to opt for and pay the fee.
  • You will get the application no and password which are kept safely at the time of admission.
  • You must link the scanned image of photograph and signature to the form incorporating essential documents.
  • Submit all details after verifying all aspects for the last time.
  • Download and save the NIMCET 2020 Application Form and save it until the admission process gets over.

Application Fee

  • Aspirants need to submit the fee with NIMCET website
  • The General and OBC aspirants should deposit RS.1800
  • The SC/ST aspirants will only need to pay RS. 900
  • The fee payment can be made through debit/credit card or net banking.

NIMCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the exam, they will need to check the eligibility of NIMCET 2020.

The applicant must be Indian

  • The applicants should hold Bachelor degree achieving at least 60% of the marks from a reputed university with the main subject Mathematics / Statistics / Business Maths in graduation and 1+2.
  • Aspirants who are under SC and ST will need to gain at least 55% of the qualifying marks.
  • Aspirants who have qualified their B.Sc/BCA/BIT from a reputed university accepted by AICTE/UGC and DEC.

Nationality:

  • Applying candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must possess B.Sc. (Hons)/ B.Sc./BIT/BCA/B.Tech/B.E of a minimum of three years from a recognized board or university.
  • Qualifying Subjects: Candidate must have passed the qualifying exam with one of the subjects of Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Qualifying Marks: He/she must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in the qualifying exam. 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST candidates.
  • Appearing: Candidates appearing in the last year of their qualifying exam can also apply provided they have to present their passing certificate at the time of admission.

Age Criteria:

  • There is no upper or lower age limit prescribed to be eligible for the test.

Eligibility for Open Schooling Candidates:

  • Candidates who have completed their B.Sc. (Hons)/ B.Sc./BIT/BCA or its equivalent from open universities are eligible.
  • Applying candidates must have passed the programs from Open University approved by AICTE/UGC and Distance Education Council of Govt. of India.

NIMCET 2020 Exam Pattern

The NIMCET 2020 Exam will be held in offline mode.

  • The exam will be consisting of 120 objective questions per section.
  • Each question will be provided with four marks, and for the wrong answer, one mark will be removed.
  • The question paper will be monolingual.
  • They are instructed to carry a blue or black ink ball pen for answering.
  • The exam timing will be 2 and ½ hours.
  • Exam Mode and Date: NIMCET 2020 Exam will be conducted in the fourth week of May 2020 in offline (Pen and Paper) mode.
  • Number and Type of Questions: Total of 120 multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam.
  • Time Duration: The time duration to complete the exam paper will be 120 minutes.
  • Language Medium: Exam paper will be available in English
  • Sections: The exam paper will be divided into four sections – Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Mathematics, General English and Computer Awareness.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of a total of 480 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, four marks will be provided. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

NIMCET 2020 Syllabus 

The syllabus will be consisting of several parts like Computer Awareness, Mathematics, Analytical Ability, and Logical Reasoning and General English.

  • The students are commended for following the topics in the syllabus to get a good preparation.
  • The questions will be asked on the given topics.
  • The aspirants will get a comprehensive insight into the intricacy of questions and types of items appearing in the exam.

Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning:

The questions in this section will be asked to test the candidate’s aptitude in logical situations.  Students have to answer questions based on the details given in the passage.

Mathematics:

The questions will be asked from the topics – Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Set theory, vectors, probability, and statistics.

General English:

The questions in this section will be asked to test the candidate’s understanding of general concepts in the English language. Topics included in the general English will be – Basic English Grammar, Vocabulary, Technical Writing, Synonyms and Antonyms, Meaning of Idioms and Phrases, Comprehension, Word Power, etc.

Computer Awareness:

This section will include questions from various topics like – Basics of Computer, Binary Arithmetic, Data Representation, etc.

Mathematics

Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning:

The questions in this section will cover logical situation and questions based on the facts given in the passage.

Computer Awareness: 

Computer basics: Organization of a computer, central processing unit (CPU), instruction structure in the CPU, input/output devices, computer memory, and backup devices.
Representation of data: representation of characters, integers, and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, binary arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, simple arithmetic and arithmetic of the complement to two, representation of numbers in floating point, Boolean algebra, tables of exact, Venn diagrams.

General English: 

The questions in this section will be designed to assess the general understanding of candidates for the English language. There will be questions on the following topics:
Understanding, vocabulary, basic grammar of English (such as the use of correct forms of verbs, prepositions, and articles), the power of words, synonyms and antonyms, the meaning of words and expressions, technical writing

NIMCET 2020 Preparation Tips

  • Manage your study time properly by preparing a study schedule.
  • Make study notes and note down all the important topics and concepts in one place.
  • Solve sample papers or previous year’s papers to know the type of questions coming in the exam.
  • Revise all the prepared notes regularly. This will help the candidates in memorizing the topics in an easier way.

NIMCET 2020 Admit Card

The admit card will continue to appear at the website from first to the third week of May 2020. Candidates can download their NIMCET admit card 2020 through online mode only. The officials have made it mandatory to bring admit card at the time of the exam.

  • The admit card will not be sent to the students on the sole basis by they have to visit the website and download it.
  • You need to keep registration no and password for downloading it as without entering these details, you will not be able to receive the admit card.
  • The admit card of NIMCET 2020 has useful contents regarding the exam, so it has to be carried while appearing for the exam.
  • It should have the signature of the examiner, and a passport size photo must be pasted on it.

NIMCET 2020 Answer Key

After the entrance test will be conducted, the board will publish the NIMCET 2020 Answer key. It will be released in the fourth to last week of May 2020. Various coaching institutions will also release the answer key.

Using the Answer key, the exam takers will get to know the right answers to the questions asked in the entrance exam. Students will be able to calculate their probable score and know their qualifying status.

NIMCET 2020 Result 

Those who have appeared for the NIMCET 2020 exam will be waiting for knowing their performance in the exam. NIMCET Result 2020 (Rank Card) will be declared in the first week of June 2020. They will be made acquainted with their marks and ranks in the exam through the result. The NIMCET 2020 Score Card will come up along with merit list on the website which is needed to be downloaded.

  • For viewing the scores, enter an accurate and precise admit card no.
  • They have to produce the marks sheet or scorecard on the counseling day, so it will require getting several copies of the result while downloading it. They must not misplace or lose it

The counseling for NIMCET 2020 will be taken place after the result. Only those who have successfully qualified their exam and completed the registration will appear for advice.

  • The counseling includes online registration, choice filling, verification of documents, seat distribution and many more.
  • After registration, they will need to go for the choice filling section where the selected students have various options in courses and colleges to choose from. They need to select the preferred one out of the number of options, and it will be locked.
  • The seat distribution is the part of counseling which comes after the occurrence of choice filling.
  • The seat is provided to only those who have got their documents verified at the time of registration. Every material is needed to be produced before the Head of Counselling.
  • The scores and performance of students will play a huge role in their selection and final admission round.
  • They will not require applying to every nit individually at all NITs.
  • Those with the seat will proceed further admission process, and the ones who have not been able to get any seat due to their unavailability during counseling will not be taken into consideration.
