National Institute Of Technology Or NIT Patna is a Public Institute founded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India in 2004. The Institute is endorsed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Courses offered by the Institute are B.Arch, B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Plan, Integrated M.Sc, and M.Tech + Ph.D. NIT Patna admission to specific courses will be conducted on the basis of Entrance Exams JEE Main (for B.Tech), NATA (about B.Arch), GATE (for M.Tech and M.Plan).

The National Institute of Technology Patna (NIT Patna), previously known as the Bihar School of Engineering and Bihar College of Engineering, is a public engineering institution located in Patna in the Indian state of Bihar. Renamed itself NIT Patna, by the government of India on January 28, 2004. It is autonomous institute functions directly under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

The Institute will be divided into six engineerings and an architecture ministry along with individual departments for physics, chemistry & mathematics. The college offers various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Admission to B.Tech and B.Archprogrammeswill be made on the basis of marks scored in JEE Main and NATA respectively. Candidates who are looking for admission in M.Tech and MURP need to appear in GATE.

• The application should be submitted ONLINE through the website
• After Which the application was submitted online, the same is to be downloaded and the signed hardcopy along with current photograph and self-attested corresponding certificates, document, and Statement of Purpose must be sent to the following address on or prior to the last date of submission
• Application fee of Rs. 1000/- for Conceptual/ OBC/ Sponsored category and Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST/ PH in the form of DD drawn to the benefit of National Institute of Technology Patna To Be Paid at Patna, must accompany from the hard copy of the online application submitted

NIT Patna 2024 Result

NIT (National Institute of Technology) Patna is offering a B.Tech/ M.Tech/ M. Sc (five years integrated programs) under its ten departments. Students are required to show in the common entrance test performed to get admission into the institute.

The application form is being provided online on the institute’s website. The Institute is followed by the semester-based academic curriculum and its academic year was divided into two semesters i.e. Odd & Even semester.

The duration of the Odd semester (July-December) and that of the even semester are the (January-June).

The term-end examination is being conducted at the end of each semester i.e. in the month of November-December (Odd Semester) and in the month of April-May (Even Semester).

The examination timetable is uploaded on the institute’s website a month before the beginning of the examination.

The result is being advertised online 25-30 days later to the examination. The institution provides the academic calendar online to detail all the academic events scheduled to be conducted in the session.

NIT Patna 2024 Admissions Process

At the undergraduate level, NIT Patna provides courses such as a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) to aspiring candidates who would like to pursue their career in the field of Engineering.

Courses available are intended for four years and five years respectively. The number of seats depends upon the nature of specializations as chosen by the candidates.

The admission in B.Tech will is made on the basis of rank secured in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) conducted by The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
